Is it that it will provide me with options to stop the automatic update when it comes or what.
I use an infinix x510 as the thread suggests. other users can help out too. Thanks in advance.

Bro, is there a way i can control how system updates are delivered to me? I hate it when system updates download automatically.

Their performances so far hasn't inspire an iota of confidence in me. But as a Nigerian I'll be hoping and praying they win.

Been using this phone for two days now and I must say it is a pretty decent phone, this being my first MTK device.... A beast for its price no doubt. But the fact that there isn't any known surefire working root method for this phone is just straight out frustrating to me and this is where I feel the likes of Samsung, HTC, Sony, LG etc will always be kings, the development community are everywhere, you don't have to plough through the entire Internet to get what you want. A quick visit to xda development forum should always get you what you want including the materials, the how-to's if needed and everything else. Until I root this phone, ima continue to treat it as another stubborn step child.

I tried 4.5 tried 4.6 I even tried 4.1 nothing worked. They all gave the same message 'no root strategy available'

My data was on the whole time and very stable too. Really frustrating, can't be able to fully enjoy this device if it cannot restore my titanium backup. Any other root method you know of, any sure fire method?

Tried king root but didn't work maybe because I used an older version. Ima try with a newer version of kingroot and get back to you, hopefully it'll work.
And btw I'm on the stock Android rom. So this iroot on Windows only root the infinix lollipop rom abi?

The US have never won a major war in a very very long time, think Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Korean War. They came into the 1st and 2nd world wars very late when other nations had suffered losses on the battle field. Should they go to war with Russia, be rest assured, it will be the end of their 300+ years civilization. Period

Since you're flashing a stock rom, you would be needing a computer, your phones driver and the SP flash tool since your phone is an mtk device. Anyway follow the link the other guy posted below. You're good.

Nope you can't flash a custom rom on stock recovery as they're usually limited in that department. You'll need a custom recovery eg CWM, TWRP, Phils Recovery etc.
