FEAO1985:Guy half his members are westerners. Please quit all those 'westerners this, westerners that' are they your Creator? |
MuhdG:Nope, no one said that. Unlike islamist terrorist groups like ISIS, BH, Al qaeda etc who other than living of on their absolutely ridiculous fairytale of 72 virgins waiting for them in some life after death religious rubbish, they've ZERO, absolutely Nada justification for their senseless brutality, not here in Nigeria, nor in China, nor in the Philippines, Russia, heck not even in India! I mean what do they want? The separatist in the east of Ukraine on the other hand are fighting a noble/legal cause - they'd a referendum, of which over 90 percent chose to break off of ukraine after a western (USA and EU) backed coup. Is good to know a little history, the western ukrainians who are mostly ethnic Polish and Lithuanian (history) has long hatred for the eastern folks who are mostly ethnic Russians. Wonder why there was always a scene of 'war' whenever Dynamo Kiev (west ukraine) plays Shaktar Donestk? (east ukrainians). I have Eastern European friends, most of them from the Donbass region of Ukraine (East) they aren't blaming the separatist, in fact the they're seen as defender of the ethnic Russians... So yeah they are FAR from your everday islamist terrorist, just like how you wouldn't want to label the biafra secessionist movement a terrorist one. |
PrinceMario:I'm more than convince that this madman Shekau is in 'bed' with the governments or atleast he may have close ties with some military heavyweights either retired or serving. The way and manner BH has successfully carried out raids on military bases in the past tells of a terrorist group quite akin to ISIS, that has some decent amount of intelligence gathering. Take ISIS for example, they do have quite a large number of former Iraqi military officers in their ranks albeit all sunnis and all disgruntled. Same with the Ukranian separatist, though they aren't terrorist. But again there are sizable numbers of former ukrainians military personnels who are fighting with the separatists, again all eastern Ukrainians. As a matter of fact, a General defected to the separatist side last year. My point is you can not 100 percent rule out the notion that former military strongman, Buhari may have been behind this whole BH thing. 1) he's an ex military man. 2) he's from the north 3) he's a politician. Notice the correlation between those facts mentioned above to this one. Now before anyone start spewing all political crap on me, first I'm neutral, I don't support any political party heck I don't give a ish about politics afterall politicians are all the same! BUT again if I was to vote today I will vote for Buhari. Jonathan has no doubt failed, he's nothing to write home about. Period! |
This is OBVIOUSLY not amber's real twitter account. Amber has some 2.6 million followers on twitter. This one is clearly a fan run-troll twitter account, make una check the followers count na. People just dey post fake news everywhere sha. |
Isn't Sambisa forest the supposed hideout of the BH warlord, Shekau? If so, why hasn't that location been put under a total lock down by the military - both air and land! The fact that an helicopter can fly over Shekau's hideout (sambisa forest) with impunity shows the level of decay in our intelligence gathering (if there's any to begin with) a green helicopter at that! - what an absolute dead giveaway! Goes to show that this whole BH insurgency is in coop with some big shots in the military. The Nigerian military has been politicized. Period! Bye bye to the once revered Nigerian military, and its sure going to remain this way should Jonathan wins the election. |
Girlfriends come and go but brothers remains brothers till the end. Your girlfriend should have been a little more considerate to your brother. Atleast if all goes well he will eventually be a brother-in-law to her. Your brother in his own naïve reasoning isn't without fault of his own - he complicated the issue by going to your mom first instead of thinking it over... Well, he may have thought that you're been pushed around by your girlfriend. Now the onus is on you to 'de-escalate' the issue.. This is the sort of family issue that can only be solved by the parties involved, no amount of advice we give here on nairaland can help you in any way. You alone know your mom and her 'antics' you alone know your bro - is he just your sibling or is he your buddie, bestfriend aswell? got to use your what you have to bring peace, in the end you all need each other. You can't just choose one over the other - your girl is your girl. Your fam will always be your fam. Peace! |
nigerianewsbeat:The name is Victor O. |
nigerianewsbeat:I don't mind if you post it in your name, as long as Nigerians are kept informed and in the know. Thanks for finding it informative enough though. I'm based in Lagos. |
Horus:I may not be a fan of Goodluck Jonathan But come on, the US government has no power nor right to arrest a sitting president of a sovereign state! That is what the ICC is there for, definitely not the US, UK or even the EU! |
Only the narrow minded will completely doubt this. Tell me why the once highly regarded Nigerian army that single-handedly brought peace to a war ravaged Liberia and Sierra Leone and has successfully engaged in several peace keeping operations around the world, now for whatever reasons can't defend itself/defeat an insurgency movement in its own country? Those in the know and those who have military background - like my dad, who retired a Captain would tell, that this is whole Boko Haram thing is just a political game. The bottom line is Nigeria military has been politicized to a whole new level which has never been seen before. We keep hearing stories of how the Airforce has, on numerous occasions refused to conduct air campaign on Boko Haram, I mean why would the airforce ignore a call by the army to strike Boko Haram? If this isn't politics then I don't know what is. Take ISIS for example, western airstrike has reduced ISIS capability to record low, in turn boasted the morale of the iraqi army as they move in. A critical look would suggest that there seem to be absolute zero coordination whatsoever between the different arms of the military especially in this present Goodluck Jonathan's administration, which has never been seen nor documented on past administration, which lead me to want to believe that perhaps Mr Labaran Maku is not way off of the truth. There are Boko Haram apologist in Jonathan's team who are hell bent in destroying the peace and unity of this country for reasons best known to them, if not, then Goodluck Jonathan himself could be the culprit afterall he is the Chief Executive of the country aswell the military. |
Why postpone the election when there's a momentum? Why postpone when Nigerians are pumped and ready to go? Why are all these good for nothing, unimaginable corrupt, pot-belly politicians toying with our emotions? As far as I'm concerned this election will not be credible regardless of who wins. There are just too many corrupt politicians around INEC. When you see them flowing their agbadas with their ugly heads you know what to expect. Too bad. |
Nairaland should have a dislike button -.- |
