Power is certainly not as greatly written as breaking bad, GOT or sopranos.

But its not trash,

the story is familiar and predictable.

The acting is good.

The sex scenes is what makes it stand out(people have sex in real life, their is no great show without nudity)

Just keep watching, at some point you would forget the predictability and start enjoying the show.

First off, I'm the last. You don't rate a movie based on how many people have seen it. Both of them have different PG for viewing. Maybe in Nigeria, Merlin was that popular cause it's viewable for almost all the ages.
