Islam for Muslims / A Good Supplication by Rashduct4luv(m): 5:04am On May 09
On the authority of Abu Dharr (radiAllahu anhu), that the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wasallam) said –

“Whoever says ten times immediately after finishing the Fajr (Dawn) Payer, before moving from his place or talking to anyone,

“laa ilaaha illallaahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu yuhyee wa yumeetu wa huwa alaa kulli shay’in qadeer – [ none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah alone having no partner, sovereignty is His and all praise is for Him and He brings life and He causes death and He has full power over everything,]”

Ten good deeds will be recorded for him, ten sins will be eliminated from him, he will be upgraded ten degrees (in reward), he will be safeguarded from all kinds of harm all that day, he will be guarded against shaytan and no sin can overtake him on that day (and nullify his good deeds) except associating others in worship with Allaah. (At Tirmidhi no.3484 [5/515])

At-Tirmidhi commented on this hadeeth saying, “This is a hasan, saheeh hadeeth (i.e a good and authentic hadeeth)”.

Likewise it is an act of Sunnah to say dhikr ten times straight after Magrib salah too, according to a hadith related by Imaam Ahmad Hanbal (rahimahullah) on the authority of Umm Salamah (radiAllahu anha), hadith number 26430. Also stated in Sahih Ibn Hibban no. 2023.

Religion / Re: What Was Wrong With Abubakar's Quran: Perfect Preservation Of The Quran by Rashduct4luv(m): 5:16pm On Apr 12
TenQ:
What was wrong with the Quran of Quran of Abu Bakr given to Hafsa to warrant editing by Zaid Zaid bin Thabit the second time?
Let it be known that four men from the Ansars memorised (collected) the complete Quran during the lifetime of Mohammed and taught others
Sahih al-Bukhari 3758
Narrated Masruq:
`Abdullah (bin Mas`ud) was mentioned before `Abdullah bin `Amr. The latter said, "That is a man I continue to love because I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, ' Learn the recitation of the Qur'an from (any of these) four persons: `Abdullah bin Masud, Salim the freed slave of Abu Hudhaifa, Ubai bin Ka`b, and Mu`adh bin Jabal." I do not remember whether he mentioned Ubai first or Mu`adh.

The Quran of Abubakar and Hafsa
1. The fear of permanently losing verses due to muslims fighting wars is said to have motivated the initial collection of the Qur'an under Caliph Abu Bakr.
Sahih al-Bukhari 4986
Narrated Zaid bin Thabit:
Abu Bakr As-Siddiq sent for me when the people of Yamama had been killed (i.e., a number of the Prophet's Companions who fought against Musailima). (I went to him) and found `Umar bin Al- Khattab sitting with him. Abu Bakr then said (to me), "`Umar has come to me and said: "Casualties were heavy among the Qurra' of the Qur'an (i.e. those who knew the Qur'an by heart) on the day of the Battle of Yamama, and I am afraid that more heavy casualties may take place among the Qurra' on other battlefields, whereby a large part of the Qur'an may be lost. Therefore I suggest, you (Abu Bakr) order that the Qur'an be collected." I said to `Umar, "How can you do something which Allah's Apostle did not do?" `Umar said, "By Allah, that is a good project." `Umar kept on urging me to accept his proposal till Allah opened my chest for it and I began to realize the good in the idea which `Umar had realized." Then Abu Bakr said (to me). 'You are a wise young man and we do not have any suspicion about you, and you used to write the Divine Inspiration for Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). So you should search for (the fragmentary scripts of) the Qur'an and collect it in one book." By Allah If they had ordered me to shift one of the mountains, it would not have been heavier for me than this ordering me to collect the Qur'an. Then I said to Abu Bakr, "How will you do something which Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) did not do?" Abu Bakr replied, "By Allah, it is a good project." Abu Bakr kept on urging me to accept his idea until Allah opened my chest for what He had opened the chests of Abu Bakr and `Umar. So I started looking for the Qur'an and collecting it from (what was written on) palme stalks, thin white stones and also from the men who knew it by heart, till I found the last Verse of Surat at-Tauba (Repentance) with Abi Khuzaima Al-Ansari, and I did not find it with anybody other than him. The Verse is: 'Verily there has come unto you an Apostle (Muhammad) from amongst yourselves. It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty..(till the end of Surat-Baraa' (at-Tauba) (9.128-129). Then the complete manuscripts (copy) of the Qur'an remained with Abu Bakr till he died, then with `Umar till the end of his life, and then with Hafsa, the daughter of `Umar.

2. Then the complete manuscripts (copy) of the Qur'an remained with Abu Bakr till he died, then with `Umar till the end of his life, and then with Hafsa, the daughter of `Umar.

3. The third caliph Uthman was concerned because there were clear differences in the recitation of the Qur'an among the people. The differences were so great Uthman and his companions feared future dispute about the true Qur'an and its contents. So Uthman asked Hafsa for her copy so that a committee could write a single version of the Quran

Hafsas Quran was either not complete or it was edited and not just copied as can be observed in the hadith of Bukhari below

Sahih Bukhari Hadith 4987
Narrated Anas bin Malik:
Hudhaifa bin Al-Yaman came to `Uthman at the time when the people of Sham and the people of Iraq were Waging war to conquer Arminya and Adharbijan. Hudhaifa was afraid of their (the people of Sham and Iraq) differences in the recitation of the Qur'an, so he said to `Uthman, "O chief of the Believers! Save this nation before they differ about the Book (Qur'an) as Jews and the Christians did before." So `Uthman sent a message to Hafsa saying, "Send us the manuscripts of the Qur'an so that we may compile the Qur'anic materials in perfect copies and return the manuscripts to you." Hafsa sent it to `Uthman. `Uthman then ordered Zaid bin Thabit, `Abdullah bin AzZubair, Sa`id bin Al-As and `AbdurRahman bin Harith bin Hisham to rewrite the manuscripts in perfect copies. `Uthman said to the three Quraishi men, "In case you disagree with Zaid bin Thabit on any point in the Qur'an, then write it in the dialect of Quraish, the Qur'an was revealed in their tongue." They did so, and when they had written many copies, `Uthman returned the original manuscripts to Hafsa. `Uthman sent to every Muslim province one copy of what they had copied, and ordered that all the other Qur'anic materials, whether written in fragmentary manuscripts or whole copies, be burnt.

Sahih al-Bukhari 4988
Zaid bin Thabit added, "A verse from Surat Ahzab was missed by me when we copied the Qur'an and I used to hear Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) reciting it. So we searched for it and found it with Khuza`ima bin Thabit Al-Ansari. (That Verse was):
'Among the Believers are men who have been true in their covenant with Allah.' (33.23)

Questions:
1. What was wrong with the Quran of Quran of Abu Bakr given to Hafsa to warrant editing by Zaid Zaid bin Thabit the second time?
2. There were four reciters of the Quran attested by Mohammed himself, why were none of them consulted in writing the Quran of Abu Bakr and later Uthman but instead Zaid Zaid bin Thabit was commissioned for the job?
3. Do you now agree that the first and second edition of the Arabic Quran were different?

From my post here in 2019 https://www.nairaland.com/5569177/wrote-quraan-how-it-put

Question
Who wrote the Qur’aan and how was it put together?

Answer
Praise be to Allaah.

Firstly:
Allaah has guaranteed to preserve this Qur’aan Himself. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Verily, We, it is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Qur’aan) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption)”
[al-Hijr 15:9]

Ibn Jareer al-Tabari said in his Tafseer, 14/8:
Allaah is saying, it is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (Reminder), i.e. the Qur’aan, and We will guard the Qur’aan against anything false being added to it that is not part of it, or anything that is part of it being taken away, whether that has to do with rulings, hudood punishments or matters having to do with inheritance.

Al-Sa’di said in his Tafseer (p. 696):
It is We Who have sent down the Qur’aan in which there is mention of all issues and clear evidence, and in which We remind those who want to be reminded.

“and surely, We will guard it” means, when it is being revealed and after it has been revealed. When it is revealed, We protect it from the tampering of every accursed devil, and after it has been revealed Allaah instilled it in the heart of His Messenger. Allaah protected the words from being changed and from anything being added or taken away, or from its meanings being distorted. So no one can attempt to distort its meanings but Allaah will guide someone to explain the truth of the Qur’aan. This is one of the greatest signs of Allaah and His blessing to His believing slaves. Another aspect of this protection is that Allaah protects the people of the Qur’aan against their enemies, and no enemy can overpower them and eliminate them.

The Qur’aan was revealed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in stages over a period of twenty-three years. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And (it is) a Qur’aan which We have divided (into parts), in order that you might recite it to men at intervals. And We have revealed it by stages”
[al-Isra’ 17:106]

Al-Sa’di (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
This means, We have revealed this Qur’aan in stages, to differentiate between guidance and misguidance, between truth and falsehood.

“in order that you might recite it to men at intervals” means, slowly, so that they may ponder and think about its meanings, and understand the different branches of knowledge contained therein.

“And We have revealed it by stages” means, gradually, over a period of twenty-three years.
Tafseer al-Sa’di, p. 760.

Secondly:
Literacy was not widespread among the Arabs. Allaah described them in such terms when He said (interpretation of the meaning):

“He it is Who sent among the unlettered ones a Messenger (Muhammad) from among themselves”
[al-Jumu’ah 63:2]

They used to memorize the Qur’aan by heart, and a few of them used to write down some verses or soorahs on animal skins, thin white stones and the like.

Thirdly:
At first the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade the writing of anything other than the Qur’aan, and he forbade them to write down his words for a while, so that the Sahaabah would focus on memorizing the Qur’aan and writing it down, and so that the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) would not be confused with the words of Allaah, and so the Qur’aan was protected from anything being added or taken away.

Fourthly:
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) appointed a group of his companions who were trustworthy and knowledgeable to write down the revelation. They are known in their biographies as those who wrote down the Revelation, such as the four Caliphs, ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Amr ibn al-‘Aas, Mu’aawiyah ibn Abi Sufyaan, Zayd ibn Thaabit and others – may Allaah be pleased with them all.

Fifthly:
The Qur’aan was revealed in seven dialects as was narrated in the saheeh hadeeth of ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab (may Allaah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). This was narrated by al-Bukhaari (2287) and Muslim (818); these were the dialects of the Arabs which were known for their eloquence.

Sixthly:
The Qur’aan continued to be preserved in the hearts of the Sahaabah who had memorized it, and on the skins and other materials until the time of the caliph Abu Bakr al-Siddeeq (may Allaah be pleased with him). During the Riddah wars many of the Sahaabah who had memorized the Qur’aan were killed, and Abu Bakr (may Allaah be pleased with him) was afraid that the Qur’aan would be lost. So he consulted the senior Sahaabah about compiling the Qur’aan in a single book so that it would remain preserved and would not be lost. He entrusted this mission to the chief of memorizers Zayd ibn Thaabit (may Allaah be pleased with him). Al-Bukhaari narrated in his Saheeh (4986) that Zayd ibn Thaabit (may Allaah be pleased with him) said:

Abu Bakr al-Siddeeq sent for me when the people of al-Yamaamah had been killed [i.e., a number of the Prophet's Companions who fought against the false prophet Musaylimah]. (I went to him) and found ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab sitting with him. Abu Bakr then said (to me), “ ‘Umar has come to me and said: ‘Casualties were heavy among the Qurra' of the Qur'aan (i.e. those who knew the Qur’aan by heart) on the day of the battle of al-Yamaamah, and I am afraid that more heavy casualties may take place among the Qurra' on other battlefields, whereby a large part of the Qur’aan may be lost. Therefore I suggest that you (Abu Bakr) order that the Qur’aan be collected.” I said to 'Umar, "How can you do something that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) did not do?" 'Umar said, "By Allah, this is something good." 'Umar kept on urging me to accept his proposal till Allaah opened my heart to it and I began to realize the good in the idea which 'Umar had realized." Then Abu Bakr said (to me). “You are a wise young man and we do not have any suspicion about you, and you used to write the Divine Inspiration for the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). So search for (the fragmentary scripts of) the Qur’aan and compile it in one book." By Allah If they had ordered me to move one of the mountains, it would not have been heavier for me than this ordering me to compile the Qur’aan. Then I said (to Abu Bakr), "How can you do something that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) did not do?" Abu Bakr replied, "By Allaah, it is a good thing." Abu Bakr kept on urging me to accept his idea until Allaah opened my heart to that to which He had opened the hearts of Abu Bakr and 'Umar. So I started looking for the Qur’aan and collecting it from (what it was written on) palm stalks, thin white stones and also from the men who knew it by heart, until I found the last Verse of Soorat al-Tawbah with Abu Khuzaymah al-Ansaari, and I did not find it with anybody other than him. The verse is (interpretation of the meaning):

"Verily, there has come unto you a Messenger (Muhammad) from amongst yourselves. It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty...” [al-Tawbah 9:128] until the end of Soorat Baraa’ah (i.e., al-Tawbah).

Then the complete manuscript (copy) of the Qur’aan remained with Abu Bakr until he died, then with 'Umar until the end of his life, and then with Hafsah, the daughter of 'Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him).

The Sahaabi Zayd ibn Thaabit (may Allaah be pleased with him) knew the Qur’aan by heart but he was methodical in his confirmation; he would not agree to write down any verse until two of the Sahaabah testified that they had heard it from the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

This Mus-haf (written copy of the Qur’aan) remained in the hands of the caliphs until the time of the Rightly-Guided Caliph ‘Uthmaan ibn ‘Affaan (may Allaah be pleased with him). The Sahaabah (may Allaah be pleased with them) had dispersed to different lands, and they used to recite the Qur’aan according to what they had heard of the seven recitations from the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), and each of their students used to recite according to what he had heard from his shaykh. If a student heard someone reciting in a manner different from what he knew, he would denounce him and accuse him of making a mistake, and this went on until the Sahaabah feared that there would be fitnah (trouble) between the Taabi’een and successive generations. So they thought that they should unite the people in following one recitation, which was in the dialect of Quraysh in which the Qur’aan had first been revealed, so as to dispel any disputes and resolve the matter. ‘Uthmaan (may Allaah be pleased with him) was consulted, and he agreed with this opinion.

Al-Bukhaari narrated in his Saheeh (4988) from Anas ibn Maalik that Hudhayfah ibn al-Yamaan came to ‘Uthmaan at the time when the people of Shaam (Syria) and the people of Iraq were waging war to conquer Armenia and Azerbaijan. Hudhayfah was alarmed by their (the people of Sham and Iraq) differences in the recitation of the Qur’aan, so he said to 'Uthmaan, "O Ameer al-Mu’mineen! Save this nation before they dispute about the Book (Qur’aan) as the Jews and the Christians did before." So 'Uthmaan sent a message to Hafsah saying, "Send us the manuscript of the Qur’aan so that we may make copies of the Mus-haf and we will return the manuscript to you."

Hafsah sent it to 'Uthmaan. Then 'Uthmaan ordered Zayd ibn Thaabit, 'Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr, Sa’eed ibn al-‘Aas and ‘Abd al-Rahmaan ibn Haarith ibn Hishaam to copy out the manuscripts. 'Uthmaan said to the three men who were from Quraysh (the tribe of which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was a member), “In case you disagree with Zayd ibn Thaabit on any point in the Qur’aan, then write it in the dialect of Quraysh, for the Qur’aan was revealed in their tongue." They did so, and when they had written many copies, 'Uthmaan returned the original manuscripts to Hafsah.

'Uthmaan sent to every Muslim province one copy of what they had copied, and ordered that all the other Qur'aanic materials, whether written in fragmentary manuscripts or whole copies, be burnt.

Ibn Shihaab said: Khaarijah ibn Zayd ibn Thaabit told me that he heard Zayd ibn Thaabit say: “When we made copies of the Mus-haf I missed a verse of al-Ahzaab that I used to hear the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) recite. So we searched for it and we found it with Khuzaymah ibn Thaabit al-Ansaari. (The verse was) ‘Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allaah’ [al-Ahzaab 33:23 – interpretation of the meaning]. So we put it in its place in its soorah in the Mus-haf.”

Thus an end was put to dispute and the Muslims were united. The Qur’aan has remained and will remain narrated from generation to generation and preserved in men's hearts until the Day of Resurrection. This is how Allaah has preserved His Book, in confirmation of the verse in which He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Verily, We, it is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Qur’aan) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption)”
[al-Hijr 15:9]

And Allaah knows best.

TenQ:

If the Quran of Abubakr was correct after its compilation, why was Zaid bin Thabit the second time looking for another missen verse.
Till today, we are still looking for the verses of breastfeeding adults ten times as it was part of the editing.

The first Time , Zaid said:
So I started looking for the Qur'an and collecting it from (what was written on) palme stalks, thin white stones and also from the men who knew it by heart, till I found the last Verse of Surat at-Tauba (Repentance) with Abi Khuzaima Al-Ansari, and I did not find it with anybody other than him.

The so called perfect preservation of the Quran: that was perfectly memorised by Muslims.

How did you determine the first and second times from the Hadiths?

It was narrated that Abu Salamah said:
"I said to Abu Sa'eed Khudri: 'Did you hear the Messenger of Allah mention anything about the Haruriyyah (a sect of Khawarij)?' He said: 'I heard him mention a people who would appear to be devoted worshippers: "Such that anyone of you would regard his own prayer and fasting as insignificant when compared to theirs. But they will pass through Islam like an arrow passing through its target, then he (the archer) picks up his arrow and looks at its iron head but does not see anything, then he looks at the shaft and does not see anything, then he looks at the band: that which is wrapped around the iron head where it is connected to the shaft, then he looks at the feather and is not sure whether he sees anything or not."

Islam for Muslims / The Final days of Ramadan 1445AH by Rashduct4luv(m): 8:58am On Apr 05
Ramadan is the 9th month of Islam wherein all capable and eligible Muslims fast through the entire month of 29 or 30 days. Millions of Muslims across the world beyond ethnic, racial and political barriers fast for the sake of Allah just as the Messenger of Allah fasted nine Ramadan before he departed this world! May the peace and blessing of Allah be on him and other Prophets of Allah!

Today is Jumu'ah Ramadan 26, 1445AH = Friday April 5, 2024.

When will Ramadan end?

In summary
If the moon is announced by the Sultan to have been sighted by Monday evening of Ramadan 29 1445AH (8th April, 2024) then Ramadan ends immediately and we pray 'Eid on Tuesday 9th April 2024.

If the moon wasn't announced to have been sighted on Monday evening of Ramadan 29 1445AH (8th April, 2024) then Ramadan ends on Tuesday 9th April 2024. So we pray 'Eid on Wednesday 10th April. 2024.

Note: It is important to follow the announcement of the Sultan for Nigerians and other countries are to follow the appointed Muslim leader in their respective countries!

Points to remember!

1. We are still in the last ten days of Ramadan and our acts of worship should continue. After Ramadan we should try as much as possible not to stop our acts of worship! The six fasts of the month of Shawwal is a good nawaafil fast after Ramadan with immense rewards.

2. Zakat al Fitr is food given by the fasting Muslims towards the end of Ramadan till just before 'Eid. It is compulsory on Muslims who are capable of giving it towards the end of Ramadan!
To read more on this click the link https://www.nairaland.com/8052000/zakatul-al-fitr-zakah-wealth

3. Ramadan is almost completed but:
* Drinking alcohol still remains haram.
* Dying hair to black still remains haram.
* Free mixing with opposite sexes still remains haram.
* Having boyfriends and girlfriends still remain haram.
* Barbing hair unequally on the head still remains haram.
* Seductive/nude dressing/Make up and Perfume still remain haram for ladies outside the home...
* Betting and Lotto still remain super Haram.
* Witchcraft still invalidates one's Islam.
* Zina, fornication and adultery still remains haram.

4. Some Sunnahs of 'Eid are as follows:
* Recite Takbir during the night of `Eid from sunset on the last day of Ramadan until the Imam comes to lead the prayer.
* You should eat an odd number of dates before leaving for the `Eid prayer
* You should wear your best clothes – this is for men. With regard to women , they should not wear beautiful clothes when they go out to the `Eid prayer-place, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Let them go out looking decent” i.e., in regular clothes that are not fancy. It is prohibited for them to go out wearing perfume and makeup.
* Perform Ghusl for 'Eid Prayer.
* Pay Zakat al Fitr before 'Eid Prayer with common foodstuffs around.
* Offer the 'Eid Prayer.
* Greet one another in the best ways prescribed in Islam. Opposite sexes are not to free mix, hug or shake one another!
* It is prescribed for the one who goes out to the `Eid prayer to go by one route and return by another , following the example of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

Islam for Muslims / The Shahadah And The Foundation Of Islam by Rashduct4luv(m): 3:52pm On Mar 13
The Shahadah, the declaration of faith in Islam, begins with the phrase "there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah." This statement forms the strongest pillar and foundation of Islam, upon which all other actions in the faith are built. It emphasizes the monotheistic nature of Islam and the exclusive worship of Allah.

*Only Allah is deserving of our worship.
*When making oaths, we swear by Allah alone.
*Our prayers are directed solely to Allah.
*When slaughtering animals, we invoke the name of Allah.
*In times of distress, we call upon Allah alone.
*All acts of worship are entirely focused on Allah; we do not worship any other creations or beings.
*Islam prohibits participation in witchcraft, magic, and visiting fortunetellers, even if they use religious items such as the Qur'an, rosary, water, or sand. Those who practice magic or witchcraft are considered to be disbelievers in Allah.
*The love for Allah surpasses any other affection. This makes us want to obey Him at all times.
*Fear of Allah takes precedence over all other fears. This makes us want to flee from His wrath at all times.
*It is essential to guard against associating partners with Allah (Shirk) in both speech and actions.
*All forms of charms and incisions should be avoided, as they can undermine the fundamental belief in the oneness of Allah.
* All forms of rituals, body part mining and belief that some ritual process can grant you wealth apart from Allah!

1. The Shahadah is the first of the Five Pillars of Islam, representing the fundamental acts of worship that are mandatory for all practicing Muslims.
2. Tawhid, the Islamic belief in the oneness of Allah, encompasses the understanding of Allah's unity and uniqueness, rejecting the association of partners with Him.
3. The significance of sincerity (Ikhlas) in worship, emphasizing the importance of performing all acts of worship solely for the sake of Allah and seeking His pleasure.
4. The understanding of Risalah (Prophethood) and the belief in the Day of Judgment (Qiyamah), acknowledging the messengers sent by Allah and the accountability before Him for one's actions.

Your prayer seems to be a lazy, weak and not righteous. This weak prayer is like a bandage to a wound that is already spilling out maggots and is smelling.
Allah says what means "Call on me and I will respond to you.." in Qur'an 40:60. I am just calling on Allah. Can you quote a Qur'an verse or Hadith that supports your assertions?

Is that real Islam? Is this the kind of Islam that Malcolm X and Hon.Elijah Muhammad preached about? For black ppl, in a world where the whites and Arabs hate us deeply, to simply skip over every disaster , by simply saying a half-sleep prayer?
Islam is not premised on any Individual save the Qur'an and the traditions of the Prophet of Allah! I am not a racist nor a tribalist. Can you quote a Qur'an verse or Hadith that supports your assertion?

This is a compilation of common questions and answers related to Ramadan.

1. When do we start Ramadan fast?

Ramadan fasting starts after the leader of the Muslims in any country announces the sighting of the moon.
If the moon is not seen on Sha'aban 29, then Sha'aban is counted to 30, and fasting begins the next day.

If the moon is sighted by Sunday evening of Sha'aban 29 = 10 March 2024, Ramadan starts the following Monday = 11 March 2024.
If the moon is not sighted on Sunday evening of 29 Sha'aban = 10 March 2024, Ramadan starts on the Tuesday = 12 March 2024.

2. What breaks the fast?

Islam for Muslims / The Difference Between A Haram Relationship And Love by Rashduct4luv(m): 9:01am On Feb 16
Question
I am a 24 year old girl. I fell in love, no dates, no meetings involved, pure love to a pure religious person. He promised to marry me and asked me to wait for him as his circumstances are difficult. I do not remember that he called me more than once. I asked him not to call me; because I feel this is wrong, although I love him. I felt that our love started going in the direction, he agreed to this feeling, and respected my opinion. He just sends me E-mails every so often via internet, so that I know his news. We have been in this love relationship for one year. I know this person and his family, and they know us well as well. I love him for Allah’s sake and sure he loves me as well. The problem is that I started receiving proposals, about 8 so far. Everytime I refuse because I promised to wait for him. Now I am confused, is what I am doing halal or haram? I pray, Alhamdulillah, all obligatory and optional prayers, and pray qiyam in the night as well; I fear I lose my good deeds because of what I am doing. Is a pure chaste love haram? Is my love for him halal or haram?

Summary of answer
Correspondence and contact between men and women is one of the doors that lead to fitnah (temptation). However, it is not haram for a man or woman to like a specific person whom he or she chooses to be a spouse, and feel love for that person and want to marry them if possible.

Praise be to Allah.

Man-woman relationship in Islam
First of all I ask Allah to guide you and grant you happiness, and I ask Him to increase the numbers of girls like you who are keen to maintain chastity and purity and adhere to the sacred limits of Allah in their affairs, among the most important of which are emotional relationships that many people take lightly, so they overstep the mark and transgress the sacred limits of Allah, and Allah tests them with problems that we read about and hear of, in which there is a lesson for every Muslim and for every wise person.

You should note that correspondence and contact between the sexes is one of the doors that lead to fitnah (temptation). Shari’ah is filled with evidence which indicates that it is essential to beware of falling into the traps of the shaytan in this matter. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw a young man merely looking at a young woman, he turned his head so as to make him look away, then he said: “I saw a young man and a young woman, and I did not trust the shaytan not to tempt them.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (885) and classed as hasan by al-Albani in Sahih al-Tirmidhi.

Hence you did well to cut off contact with this young man, and we hope that you will stop corresponding too, because correspondence is one of the greatest doors to corruption that have been opened for people nowadays....

Feeling of love: Allowed?
This does not mean that it is haram for a man or woman to like a specific person whom he or she chooses to be a spouse, and feel love for that person and want to marry them if possible. Love has to do with the heart, and it may appear in a person’s heart for reasons known or unknown. But if it is because of mixing or looking or haram conversations, then it is also haram. If it is because of previous acquaintance, being related or because of hearing about that person, and one cannot ward it off, then there is nothing wrong with that love, so long as one adheres to the sacred limits set by Allah.

Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
“If love develops for a reason that is not haram, a person cannot be blamed for that, such as one who loves his wife or his slave woman, then he leaves her but that love remains and does not leave him. He is not to be blamed for that. The same applies if he glances accidentally then looks away, but love may settle in his heart without him wanting it to. But he has to ward it off and look away.” (Rawdat al-Muhibbin, p. 147)

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymin (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
“A person may hear that a woman is of good character and virtuous and knowledgeable, so he may want to marry her. Or a woman may hear that a man is of good character and virtuous and knowledgeable and religiously committed, so she may want to marry him. But contact between the two who admire one another in ways that are not Islamically acceptable is the problem, which leads to disastrous consequences. In this case it is not permissible for the man to get in touch with the woman or for the woman to get in touch with the man, and say that he wants to marry her. Rather he should tell her wali (guardian) that he wants to marry her, or she should tell her wali that she wants to marry him, as ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) did when he offered his daughter Hafsah in marriage to Abu Bakr and ‘Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them both). But if the woman contacts the man directly, this is what leads to fitnah (temptation).” (Liqa-at al-Bab il-Maftuh (26/question no. 13)

Useful tips
Our advice to you is that it is essential to stop corresponding with this young man, and tell him that he has to propose to you through your wali, if he really does want to get married. He should not regard his material circumstances or anything else as a barrier. The matter is simple, in sha Allah, and if a person is content with little, Allah will make him independent of means by His grace and bounty. He should at least contact your wali and do the shar’i marriage contract, and if the consummation is delayed there is nothing wrong with that. But if it remains as a promise to get married, and correspondence continues between you on that basis, this – according to the rulings of shari’ah and the experience of real life – is a wrong path that opens the door to sin and corruption. You can be certain that you will never find happiness except by obeying Allah and adhering to the limits set by His shari’ah. The permissible ways are sufficient and there is no need for haram means, but we make it hard for ourselves and the shaytan takes advantage of that.

Don’t delay marriage
Your delay in getting married is very harmful for you. You are getting older and this young man’s circumstances are not improving; you are not marrying him and you are not marrying anyone else. Beware of delaying, for that will only cause harm. You should realize that one of these men who have proposed marriage may be more religiously committed and righteous than that young man, and there may be far greater love with him than there is between you and that young man.

And Allah knows best.

Islam for Muslims / When Is Ramadan 1445AH Starting? by Rashduct4luv(m): 3:17pm On Feb 12
Today’s date is Monday 2nd Sha’aban 1445AH = 12th February 2024.

The basic ruling in Islam is to search for the moon (that signals the beginning of another Lunar month) when the current month (i.e. Sha'aban in this case) is 29. If the moon is sighted then Ramadan starts!

Otherwise the current month (of Sha'aban) is counted to 30 days and then the next month (of Ramadan) starts after.

So Sha'aban 29th will be Sunday 10th March 2024.

If the Sultan announces the sighting of the moon by Sunday Sha'aban 29 (10th March, 2024) evening then we start fasting on Monday 11, March 2024.
If the moon wasn't announced to be sighted then Sha'aban will be counted to 30 days.
Fasting then starts on Tuesday 12th March 2024.

Evidence: Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (May Allah exalt his mention and protect him from imperfection) said: “Fast when you see the new moon (of Ramadan) and break your fast when you see the new moon (of Shawwal.) If clouds prevent you from seeing it, complete thirty days in the month of Sha'aban (the one that precedes Ramadan). (Al-Bukhari and Muslim).

Commentary: (…) If the moon of Ramadan is not sighted on the 29th Sha’aban, then its thirty days be completed and Ramadan’s Saum be started on the next day. Similarly, if the moon for the month of Shawwal is not sighted on the 29th of Ramadan, thirty days of Saum must be completed before celebrating ‘Eid-ul-Fitr. This means that the sighting of the moon is necessary for keeping the Saum of Ramadan. Counting by celestial system is not sufficient for this purpose. (…)

https://www.salaattime.com/hadith-fast-when-you-see-the-new-moon-of-ramadan/

Note: Each country is expected to sight the moon for Ramadan! Nigerians are not to use the moon sighting in Saudi Arabia to start Ramadan!

Evidence: Kurayb repoted: I came to Syria and tended to my needs. The crescent of Ramadan appeared over me while I was in Syria and I saw it on Friday, then I came to Medina at the end of the month. Abdullah ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, asked me about it and I mentioned the crescent. Ibn Abbas said, “When did you see it?” I said, “We saw it on Friday night.” Ibn Abbas said, “You saw it?” I said, “Yes, people saw it and they fasted, as did Mu’awiyah.” Ibn Abbas said, “But we saw it on Saturday night, so we will continue fasting until we complete thirty days or we see it.” I said, “Is it not enough that Mu’awiyah saw it and he fasted?” Ibn Abbas said, “No, such was the command of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1087
Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Muslim

Al-Tirmidhi said, “The people of knowledge act upon this tradition, that the people of every land have their own moon sighting.”
Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 693

In summary
If the moon is sighted by Sunday evening of Sha'aban 29 1444AH (10th March, 2024) then Ramadan starts on Monday 11th March 2024.
If the moon wasn't announced to have been sighted on Sunday evening of 29 Sha'aban 1444AH (10th March, 2024) then Ramadan starts on Tuesday 12th March 2024.

I will answer and defend each and every one of these Biblical verses which your shallow intelligence is too feeble to understand, but first, I want an explanation for the following:

1. According to your "prophet" allah has fixed a portion of adultery for you as a MUDSLIME Rashduct4luv.

2. According to your "prophet" there is no escape from this adultery.

So the question is:

When will Rashduct4luv obey allah and sleep with a married muslima so that he can obtain his own share of the adultery that allah has fixed for him?

Sahih Muslim 2658 a

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying. Allah fixed the very portion of adultery which a man will indulge in. There would be no escape from it. The adultery of the eye is the lustful look and the adultery of the ears is listening to voluptuous (song or talk) and the adultery of the tongue is licentious speech and the adultery of the hand is the lustful grip (embrace) and the adultery of the feet is to walk (to the place) where he intends to commit adultery and the heart yearns and desires which he may or may not put into effect.

I'll be here waiting for your response.

Islam for Muslims / Re: What Are The Rights Of Women In Islam? by Rashduct4luv(m): 9:40pm On Dec 15, 2023
ShoeGetSize:
You're right Islam really cares about women:

Volume 7, Book 62, Number 124

Narrated Usama:

The Prophet said, "I stood at the gate of Paradise and saw that the majority of the people who entered it were the poor, while the wealthy were stopped at the gate (for the accounts). But the companions of the Fire were ordered to be taken to the Fire. Then I stood at the gate of the Fire and saw that the majority of those who entered it were women."

Another sign of Allah's abundant love for women is that he created them to be spiritually and mentally Inferior to men:

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:

Once Allah's Apostle went out to the Musalla (to offer the prayer) o 'Id-al-Adha or Al-Fitr prayer. Then he passed by the women and said, "O women! Give alms, as I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women)." They asked, "Why is it so, O Allah's Apostle ?" He replied, "You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you.

Islam respects women sooooo much... that allah deliberately created them to be "mentally deficient" to the point that even when they bear witness, the value of their witness is only half of that of a man! I'm feeling overwhelmed by this kind of "love"😍 😍 😍

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri

The Prophet said, "Isn't the witness of a woman equal to half of that of a man?" The women said, "Yes." He said, "This is because of the deficiency of a woman's mind."

Sahih Bukhari 3:48:826

How do you compare all these with what's in your Bible written by antichristian?

Times have changed. Time is never static but dynamic. Looking at the immense development woman rights have now particularly in some European countries where woman can practically treat men like shit and the system supports it.

It behoves us to look at how women have been treated in the past as narrated in the Bible!

Old testament

Man is the image and glory of God, while woman is the glory of man. Man was not created for woman but woman for man.
(Note: Some New testament verses are included herein).

GE 3:16 Women should suffer pain during childbirth. (Note: This verse was used by the Church to oppose the use of anesthesia during childbirth.)

EX 21:7-11

LE 15:28
After her flow stops, a woman who was menstruating must count off seven days before she is considered clean again. On the eighth day, she must present two birds to the priest for an atonement for having had a menstrual discharge.

LE 27:3-7
Males are more valuable than females.

NU 5:12-31
A woman suspected or accused of adultery is to be tested by making her drink the “water of bitterness,” or holy water mixed with dust from the floor. (Note: There is no such test for men.) In Anambra, na dead body wash water...

NU 31:18, 35, JG 21:12
Young virgins are considered a spoil of war and can be taken for the use of the victors.

A wife who grabs her husband’s opponent by his “private parts” must have her hand cut off and is to be shown no pity.

JG 21:21
The Benjamites are commanded to take wives by hiding in the vineyards and then seizing the “daughters of Shiloh” as they come out to dance.

PR 31:10-31
The able wife is to bring only profit and no loss, rise before dawn, buy land prudently, plant a vineyard with her earnings, keep her lamp burning all night, gird herself to work, be generous to the poor, lend a hand to the forlorn, talk shrewd sense, offer kindly counsel, and never be idle.

New testament
1CO 11:3-10
A woman is to keep her head covered while praying or prophesying.

1CO 14:34-35
Women are to be silent in church. If they have any questions, they are to ask their husbands at home. It is a shame for women to speak in church.

Women should not braid their hair, or wear gold or pearls or costly attire.

1TI 2:11-12

Islam for Muslims / Is Suicide Due To Depression Haram? by Rashduct4luv(m): 7:08am On Dec 15, 2023
Question
What is the ruling on committing suicide in the case of severe depression in which the sick person is not aware of the consequences of what he does? Will Allah forgive him for this action?

Is it possible that the suffering that the sick person goes through because of this disease is expiation for his sins?

Summary of answer
Suicide is haram and a major sin. The one who commits suicide is faced with a warning of eternity in the Fire of Hell, where Allah will punish him with the means that he used to commit suicide. If the suicide is due to mental illness that has had such a far-reaching impact on a person’s reason that he is not aware of what he is saying or doing, if in such a case it so happens that he killed himself, then he will not be with the sinners who have committed the major sin of suicide; rather he will be excused. That is because this person was no longer accountable due to severe mental illness that led to loss of reason.

Answer
Praise be to Allah.

Is suicide haram?
Suicide is a major sin , and the one who does that is faced with a warning of eternity in the Fire of Hell, where Allah will punish him with the means that he used to commit suicide.

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever throws himself down from a mountain and kills himself will be throwing himself down in the Fire of Hell for ever and ever. Whoever drinks poison and kills himself will be sipping it in the Fire of Hell for ever and ever. Whoever kills himself with a piece of iron will have that iron in his hand, thrusting it into his belly in the Fire of Hell for ever and ever.” (Narrated by al-Bukhari (5442) and Muslim (109)

Thabit ibn Dahhak (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever kills himself with something will be punished with it on the Day of Resurrection.” (Narrated by al-Bukhari (5700) and Muslim (110)

Jundub ibn ‘Abd-Allah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “A man among those who came before you was wounded. He panicked and took a knife and cut his hand, and the bleeding did not stop until he died. Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, said: ‘My slave hastened his death; I have forbidden Paradise to him.” (Narrated by al-Bukhari (3276) and Muslim (113)

Patience in the face of calamities and hardship
The believer has to be patient and to seek the help of Allah, may He be exalted, and understand that no matter what hardship befalls him in this world -- no matter how severe it is -- the punishment of the Hereafter is worse than it. It is not acceptable according to anyone who is of right mind to run away from the heat of the desert and throw himself into the fire. How can he flee from temporary hardship and difficulty -- which inevitably will come to an end -- to an eternal punishment which has no end?

The Muslim should ponder and realise that he is not the only one in this world who is affected by calamity and hardship . Calamities befell the greatest of mankind, namely the prophets, messengers and the righteous. They also befell the worst of mankind, namely the disbelievers and atheists.

Calamity is part of the natural order of things and hardly anyone is safe from it.

If the believer handles it well and is patient, and it becomes a means that makes him turn back to Allah and strive hard in worship and righteous deeds, then the calamity will have been good for him and will be expiation for his sins, and perhaps he will meet Allah with no burden of sin.

The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “No pain, hardship, sickness or grief befalls a believer, not even worry that befalls him, but some of his bad deeds will be expiated.” (Narrated by al-Bukhari (5642) and Muslim (2573)

Al-Tirmidhi (2399) narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Calamities will continue to befall believing men and women in themselves, their children and their wealth, until they meet Allah with no burden of sin.” (Classed as sahih by al-Albani in Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah (2280)

Committing suicide because of mental illness
If the suicide is due to mental illness that has had such a far-reaching impact on a person’s reason that he is not aware of what he is saying or doing, if in such a case it so happens that he killed himself, then he will not be with the sinners who have committed the major sin of suicide; rather he will be excused. That is because this person was no longer accountable due to severe mental illness that led to loss of reason.

And Allah knows best.
