nairalanda1:

The newspaper headline is basic sensationalism...and no, this is not a defence of the government, as the government is part of the problem by its system of price controls....
What Nigeria needs for improved power supply is, according to the experts....not the government....10 billion dollars annually for the next 5-10 years.
That's 10 billion dollars every year for ten years to make impact.
3.2 BILLION dollars over 4 years, or even 16 billion dollars....does not even make much sense.
The thing is, the money will come if the government stops controlling prices, and if Nigerians accept that there is nothing like cheap electricity. Or free electricity. Once we accept both facts, investment is going to pour in like a large flowing river of water.... Is that how it done oga ? Price and pay for things unseen or touch. They should invest first if they mean business then then you talk about price. Four states are currently on load shedding in the north now. The issue . . . disco came up with a lie that there is an issue somewhere. An issue that TCN hasn't posted on either of their social media handle. Make una continue the cheat Nigerians. |

Yampotatocarrot: It's obvious he was banking on the harvest season in the North... Even Niger State governor made the same promise, with same time frame
Unfortunately, even me, I don't understand why price of foodstuffs refused to crash during the anticipated harvest season Exactly How much is fertilizer and then the gas thing. E go tey for food to prices to drop as how weak the currency follow join matter. They people that make ridges for planting charge a premium now for a small piece of land. Imagine how much a tractor owner would charge couple with thieves waiting to harvest before the owner. |

Bluntemperor: The Govt is too cheeky, with the issues of Subsidies and NIGERIANS want Transparency in all we do! How can you or Minister be telling us this when we hardly got lights,e.g our Fridge and Freezer are just in Idlesness, because,we don't have Lights 🚨,and in some cases, the so called Band A,B, etc, is just a Fallacy by the Minister - to differentiate between those who are Rich and Poor, which is abnormalities, anyway! Did the Minister see this, whenever they jet outside Nigeria? It is deception of the highest order. The Power Sector is one of the greatest Corrupt Entity,as we once called on the Power Minister to do head Count on: 1- Nos of Transformers in each State and Regions and till now,No Answer . 2-the Nos of Prepaid Meters- supplied to Each States and Areas - for ease of Accountabilities - No Answers. Those in DISCOS, GENCO,etc, are all involved in Monumental Corruption ,as Nigeria was never designed to have 24- hours light 🚨! Terrible and Shameful,as we see more darkness every day, than Lights. All we ask for is accountability and yet they get angry when the country is criticize online for everyone to see how the citizens are subjugated. Their plan is to get everyone on meter back to estimated. I see no reason why some persons on estimated are paying 5k a month and one can't use his home appliances with a unit of 8k. Doesn't even last past 3 week. |

Broad daylight Scam. . . Who are they paying for when literally everyone is on their fictitious band A. The fat minister of power darkness made claims that they don't rely on hydro to generate electricity. One can't boast of 6 hours electricity a day on the said band A. It is well as usual. Tinubu, his fat minister and the Disco should know they won't escape the wrath of God and nature for this scam. |

About Martinez, he is so assured on the ball and he is easily our best passer of the ball from defence together with Dr Shaw. Lord Maguire as well. |
