This would mean having to learn how each individual word is pronounced, which is a problem that a lot of people have with English. You’re merely trying to trade one problem for another.

When did Lagos become the core of Yorubaland?

Right from the history of time, Lagos has always been distinct from Yoruba land, when the Portuguese (first Europeans) arrived in Eko, it was been ruled by the Bini Empire that ruled it until 1861 when the British Empire officially liberated Lagos from The Oba of Benin.

The British ruled it for 99 years & handed it over to The Federal Government of Nigeria in 1960 who then created modern Lagos State on the 4th day of July 1967.
A quick reminder that lagos is literally surrounded by yoruba land, and 3 yoruba land has access to the sea

So I always wonder how the benin, Passed through, Ondo and Ogun to settle in Lagos, it’s very laughable - Ondo is literally beside Benin and has access to the sea, They didn’t rule that

It’s lagos that is miles away from benin that they ruled? Very Laughable something 😂😂

A language cannot progress if its written form is inadequate, Our ancestors made significant contributions to the development of Yorùbá, And it's now our responsibility to build further upon their accomplishments.

Shakespeare's impact on the English language is a testament to the power of linguistics innovation, He introduced thousands of new words and did some spelling reforms which enhanced clear communication and understanding!

Similarly, I have undertaken the task of modernizing the Yorùbá language, The primary objective of this initiative is to provide distinct spellings for Homophones, Thereby facilitating precise understanding of words

After studying the language for some time I noticed that so many people write Yorùbá incorrectly, the main reason for this is that Yorùbá sucks when it comes to the "writing" part (Pardon me)

We should use different spellings for words, It will make more sense

Ogun = war
Ogun = property
Ogun = medicine
Ogun = Sweat

All these should have a different spellings, It will make make it easy to understand, Even English have words like that too

I know we use Tonal marks "Ọ́gùn" to differentiate sounds, but this is not enough, We need new spellings too

Tonal marks alone can't help, You can just look at a word briefly and know the meaning if there's different spellings to every word, Instead of having to wait and study the Tonal marks on them before grasping how they sound like

Last week I tried reading a Yoruba novel, it was so frustrating, I can't count how many times I had to stop and study the Tonal marks on every word to know the sound

And on the flip side, English is just too easy to read

It's easy to read because Instead of Tonal Marks English has different Spellings for most words, which makes it easy to read

Once you see a word You've seen before, You know the meaning immediately without having to stop & study the Tonal marks to know how it really sounds like

Why does lagos suddenly become clean anytime you people travel back to your region in decembers?

Isn’t that concerning? It’s a proof that you are a reflection of everything you call other people

You call other people dirty because you are also dirty!

Why are men obsessed with sexxx
It's mostly African men, it's a sign of Low I.Q

Their fellow men in other races, Are doing great things, Inventing and creating stuffs to better the human life!

But as usual, Take a look at Africa? Collapsing everyday as a result of corruption, Yet they still have the gut to blame the white men!

The only safe place in south-africa is Orania, and it's habited by only white, Other parts are dangerous because of the blacks

Nigeria is f*cked up by the blacks themselves, Politicians thieving in billions and taking the money to a white man country Lol, Something a white man will never do

Congo should be the richest country in the world according to statistics, because it has the world largest natural resources, from gold to diamond, Silver, Crude-oil ABBL, But congo is ruined by the same blacks themselves

Zimbabwe was a thriving nation with everything in place when the white were at the helm of government, The black cried and protested that they wanted their country, That they want to rule their country, well, they were given power, Several years later, Look at what Zimbabwe has become? One of the wretched nation in the world, Their money is as useless as a toilet paper, The blacks led by Mugabe ruined the country

There are so many examples like that!!

Blacks are a problem to the world, They have empty head, They only thing they love is Sex, Money, Partying, Gangster, Music, And shit!

It's so sad

YORUBAS AND HAUSAS HATE YOU, SO WHY HAVEN'T THEY CHASED YOU OUT OF THEIR HOMELANDS WHERE TENS OF MILLIONS OF YOU ARE SETTLED AND PROSPERING FREELY, WHILE TRUMP WANTS TO DEPORT YOU FROM HIS OWN SIDE?

LESSON: LEARN TO APPRECIATE WHAT YOU HAVE.
The funniest part is that, This same people who are claiming yorubas hate them, They are not allowing any tribe to buy land in their own region oo, you can't even live peacefully in their region!

Whereas they are free to buy land in the west, Now tell me, Who hate who?

Native languages had died years ago. The only advantage is to communicate secretly or backbite. In fact we all here are typing in English not in our natives.

Pidgin should be adopted in schools and workplaces instead.

I have said it countless time that, our languages are at the verge of extinction, As More and more Nigerians learn English and use it to communicate, It will relegate our own indigenous languages to the back stage!

I was in awe yesterday when I saw a girl who couldn't speak her native languages, I was so surprised, I have never seen anyone who couldn't speak their own language, That was my first time!

Imagine in another 100 years?? I bet 90% of our languages would have died, Because most of this new generation kids only communicate in English and they consume a lot of Americans contents!

That's how I saw one Nigeria on a TikTok video asking English or Spanish?? Imagine, Following every trend in America it's crazy!

We need to speak our own language more!!
