SIRTee15: so what exactly do u want buhari to do? obviously he can't grant the SS/SE referendum because it's unconstitutional......... Even, if he grants and conducts it anyway, the national assembly will kill it......... Buhari can also be dragged to court where the Supreme Court will declare the referendum null and void..... I think the first step is to insert a secession clause into our constitution...... and only the national assembly can do that....... I know it's going to difficult, but at least that's a legal way to go about it...... then the SS/SE elected representatives need to get on board....... without them, I seriously doubt this agitation will get the momentum it needs to push forward its agenda..... except IPOB is hoping on international community to force the hand of the federal government to grant referendum....... The way Nigeria is heading to,with Boko haram,Niger Delta militant, political killings and way FG is handling sensitive issue, calamity may hit at any and balkanization will take place if care is not taken |

mrvitalis: The division we see today are politically induced.. In 2007 the North was ready to vote odili a southerner after obasanjo a southerner.. While obasanjo was ready to give it to a northerner... Infact 2007 was the origin of this tribal politics... The political class are just using it to fool Nigerians and they are buying it.. Who cares if same state produce all the president what I want Is good road, light, water, job and the rest... Not were the president is from. .. restructuring can't guarantee those only good leaders can and we lack those There is nothing like that, the core north have been voting for Buhari since 2007, the East, west and north don't like each other, hatred among them is persistent, youth copers are been killed in the north because someone that lose an election.you are not been sincere to yourself, Nigeria cannot be producing a president from one region with all the federal project going to one region while other are left out, that is nepotism and root of all evil in Nigeria, born to rule approach, Buhari appointing almost everybody from the North, everybody in a country should have a sense of belonging in it for that country to work, a country is meant for the North to enjoy alone, they should include others and execute federal project in the eastern Nigeria. |

mrvitalis: I am an mbaise man and I don't think restructuring will solve the problem.. . There is no hindrance stopping any state from improving there IGR.. . What we need is for the masses to vote the right candidate devoid of party ethnicity and tribe What's stopping Abia state from developing aba?? What's stop Benue from establishing state farms... Nigerians are not smart (majority of them) And they vote people of their class. .. That's the problem... When we start voting the right people we will see the difference Vote nnamdi Kanu as Governor of Abia and watch him show his true colour. . Restructuring will not do anything.. . I can't see any way it can help You are getting it wrong, policies matters a lot, believed in nationhood,if after 56 years of nationhood the country is divided along ethnic line with hatred for each other, how can that country move forward, Fulani herdsmen killing at free will, boko haram, Niger Delta militant, believed by others that people from setting part of country should never be president and should never have any federal project, born to rule approach with readiness burn the country down if they did not have their way, if you practice project for 56 years and it not working I wonder miracle person that you can vote in to make the project work. |

misterawo: Buhari should know that INEC does not register any party with separatist ambition. So Buhari's call is in conflict with the law establishing INEC. There can never be any political space in Nigeria for any separatist movement. The option left with them is to continue to embarrass and sabotage the country with their activities. So they should continue protesting all over the world and you think is not having negative effect on Nigeria image,in Germany here due to their consistent protest in various part of German cities which normally appear on their newspapers, If you have a discussion with a German as a Nigerian, they will as you about boko haram and Biafra issue. |
