Pfft. Yeah right. The Benin empire jumped over the warrior ijebu Kingdom and the egba Kingdom. Then established a Kingdom in lagos right under the nose oyo empire whose influence went as far as the outskirts of the present day ghana
This guy self, you me make laugh, visit your history book, Oyo empire never have territories under their control, but it is a great empire, dohomey women alone can deafeat them, they establish their kingdom base on diplomacy

Lagos was not developed with Niger delta oil.
1910 lagos when most tribes were still running around naked in the bushes
In 1910 Lagos is under colonization and Lagos is a capital of southern Nigeria, the white use money realized from coal in Enugu, Palm oil in eastern Nigeria, Cocoa sw,Rubber and tax to develope lagos from 1850`s when they gain full control of Lagos after forcing the Bini empire to surrender Lagos, the Binis also help to build when it was under their control before the coming of Europeans.

Nope
I will have to agree that Lagos is shitty today because of one Nigeria.
The influx of people brought the destruction of the serenity of Lagos, the peace, the decimation of her liberal values, the lowering of her IQ and more
Give me the lagos of the 1920's anytime
It is obvious that you don't know much about Lagos. Before the coming of White colonizers, Lagos was a colony of Bini empire, so the influx of people to lagos stated way back before 1920, the British took over Lagos from Binis after defeating them in a battle and stated developing it from 1845 to 1960. The FG continue from the white with oil boom of 1970's till 90's when capital was moved to Abuja. Lagos still receive the highest allocation from ND oil sales.

sorry you are the one whose write-up is absolutely senseless and even your brothers know. Lagos will recieve a huge blow if we revert to regionalism not to talk of the end of nigeria. Lets view it this way If nigeria ends. The suceeding countries will make their laws, develop economic infrastructure like seaports, airports and power supply, develop monetary policy and impose import taxes all in a bid to develop local economy. Biafra for instance will open portharcourt port and onitsha seaport. Open the airport in Enugu and ph and concession them. With that it will be cheaper for businessmen and industralists to establish their base in the new country. Right now lagos is booming b'cos the host country used the resources and political power to favour it at the detriment of other regions and cities, leaving only lagos port running and lagos airport busy, forcing pple in another region to go and invest in lagos. They dont care if it affect the overall development of the country so long as they attend their political objective. All those bank and factories u're mentioning will gradually close dont in event of seperation 'cos no bank sites headquarters in another country, unless u're gonna boast with the empty building. Pls dont pretend u dont know wats keeping lagos. Op said the truth.
You said it all, don't mind the pretender's , why are they too afraid of Biafra, even London is staggering now as a result of possible economic pull out of EU. Can you Imaging what will happen to Lagos if the SS and SE have its own economic policy, have their own Embassies, sea port, international Airport, what will remain of Lagos is empty houses and empty street, They know all this, that is why they are forcing one Naija down the throat of everybody but it wount last forever, one day monkey go go market and I no go return.

When you say crisis., you mean crisis like Boko Haram and Militancy?

Venezuela has the world's largest oil reserves and has been one of the world's leading exporters of oil.

Cause I don't know the crisis you're talking about aside from the high rate of inflation caused by corruption. It's not like there's a civil war their
Google about Venezuela crisis, Venezuela under Hugo chevez run a revolutionary despotic country, nationalizing about 1200 multinational companies which led to sanctions by EU and US government, economic crisis in Venezuela has been there for years with their loggerheads with USA just like Cuba. The fall in oil prices make it worst not in the same manner that this APC and PMB sympathizers is trying to use Venezuela economic crises that has been there due to their imperial government polices against the USA and it western allies to cover up for imcopentency of PMB administration.

Effects of loss of about 2/3 of crude price is felt by ALL oil dependent economies with no exception. From Saudi to Kuwait, from UAE to Qatar, from Angola to Venezuela, from Bahrain to Oman, the effects are felt.

Unfortunately, Nigerians who should be grateful that those who couldn't mange surplus earnings are no longer in charge are busy castigating PMB and his team ignorantly. Were those looters not chased away, we would have become another Venezuela or Greece by now.

This is the reason I did this thread here https://www.nairaland.com/3287385/effects-oil-crash-oil-dependent-economies but trust the powers that be here not to take it or this thread to the front page. Threads that educate the multitude of illiterate members here don't really interest them. Only the yeyebrities and snake related ones do.
Stop all this your gullible excuses, who are you educating with your lies. During GEj time oil prices have started crashing and now oil prices is above $50 which is manageable, Venezuela has been under various loggerhead with US, even during the oil boom Venezuela ban selling their oil to US and the country is marred with various separatist struggle, there has never a time in the past 5years that things were better in that country because of their economic policies against US government. This is not the first oil prices has crashed, OBj economic team led by NOI managed low oil prices well without Nigerians feeling it so hard before the oil prices pick up. Very soon you guys will start to use Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan to tell people why they should be grateful for PMB administration and APC, All this countries economy are not affected the way Nigerian economy is now, Ghana cedis is stable,Egyptian economy is not too bad, Angola is doing well,Algeria is not too bad, UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia,Quatar check how much they are selling a litter of fuel in those countries despite the low oil price which have pick up now, Nigeria can't sponsor a common Olympic team, how much more if they were Qatar that is hosting a world cup in near by future. You people should pack one side with this your excuses.

Zombs, you people want to use Venezuela that is under imperial government for years to justify Buhari and APC incompetence, shame on you guys, why don't you people use other oil producing countries like UAE,Egypt, Ghana,Kuwait, Qatar,Saudi Arabia,Norway,Russia and Canada. You are using country that is in turmoil for years to compare Nigeria.Did you guys know what has been happening in Venezuela that lead them into this stage,Venezuela has been crises for years just like Iraq,Libya,South Sudan etc.

It is well known that your people don't like to travel, NYSC is what is taken most of SW youth to other part of Nigeria. In SS is it Bayelsa,Delta,Rivers and C.Rivers,Akwa Ibom that you will see Yorubas is large numbers as Hausas and Igbo are seen in large numbers in all state of Nigeria. In most part of SE they have places they call ama Hausa likewise in the north they places they called sabo ngeri for Igbos, which part of Nigeria have a place reserve for Yorubas and if SE is not accommodating why is it that they have hausas in large numbers in SE.

So after FG finished building Abuja with ND oil money the same way they build lagos for more than 30 years, Gwari people will start to ask Ekiti people why can't they build Ekiti like Abuja. huh : huh huh

Even if the FG dredges Calabar, double dredges Onne, builds a new port in Akwa Ibom, Brass and Bonny Island...... Igbos will still not leave the West.
Their excuse that the busiest port is in Lagos is just so flimsy. When you see them in such places as Abeokuta and Benin you will have to ask yourself if the seaports are the reason they are also there.
Igbos you can't survive without the rest of Nigeria, you people should just admit it. cheesy
This guy Igbos are always a nightmare to you. You go kpeme ooo ontop of Igbo people matter, you want one Nigeria and you don't want the Igbos to live freely in any part of one Nigeria. Your people dont like to travel and explore for opportunities, why always envy those who have the zeal to explore the world.

Guys..My friend will be traveling to Germany and will be staying there for three month there..she is worried if this local items can pass through the border for her to use there.

1 carton of Chicken noddles
I parket of Maggi
I bottle of Palm oil
cray fish( parkage in a container)
Grounded pepper,

Can she go with these things without it been seized by border security?
All can pass except the palm oil , if the person can hide the bottle of oil in a way that they cannot see it then good but if they see it they will seize it. If the palm oil pass through Nigeria, no problem with it at German entry point

I tell ya! The obsession is out of this world evil. Just think about it, what kind of people hate and wish evil on innocent and peaceful people who have made their community available to you to feel at home and do your trade with peace of mind? It's the cruel animal set of human beings. They don't appreciate the kindness we show them but 'carrot and stick' approach like they find in the north. While we don't have violence in us we can shrink them up and make sure they don't expand. We don't have to announce what we are doing. They are animals that can never understand human gestures, we are just wasting our time being nice.

I think Yoruba are responsible for what is going on with the militant in Ogun and Lagos, how I wish the monarchs are all kidnapped and killed for failing to protect the people. There should have been measures put in place to make sure new faces and strange movements are reported. There were announcements that some of these villages would be attacked, so what were the stupid monarchs waiting for? Why didn't they get community policing and intelligence gathering together? There should be informants along our riverine since the niger delta is going up in smoke. Have message sent to people to report any sighting of people who don't belong around there before they mobilize again. I really don't know why we have dumb leaders.
You people are still claiming that those militant are from ND where the two militant leaders arrested so far in Ogun are Yorubas, you guys should stop living in self denial and takle the menance of area boys and agkporos in your land.
PoliticsRe: Military Kills 114 Militants In Ogun And Lagos Creeks - Today.ng by Rayhutar(m): 10:30pm On Jul 30, 2016
Nawa o for SW, two militants leaders arrested in that area are Yorubas and the yibbas are still shouting Ijaw militants, I pity residents of the area for hardship they are passing through, SW is not united by allowing military raid in their territory, killing their own people while ND is negotiating with FG to avoid military onslaught on their people. The Afonjas are busy shouting phrases for massacre of their own people.
The fact that those schools are being financed with tax payers money is enough reason why they cease to be missionary schools.
Government financed schools are public schools and the religion bodies should please allow government to do their works.
School uniform should be respected, enough of all this religious interference in schools, an education arena is not a ground for religious practices. What a backwardness in thinking

You are just deceiving yourself and delusional.

The north only needs a region in the south to win and they Yoruba supported them simple and short.

What will befall the north?

If Yorubas misbehave the north will simply switch to the east and pick another region and the win again!

Then you will know how 'relevant' you are.

We saw how 'relevant' Yoruba is when you all voted for Falae massively yet he failed.

That is how 'relevant' any region can be standing alone and the Yorubas are not exempted.
No mind yibba chest beaters, they back Olu falae he failed, they back Nuhu Ribadu he failed, the north found ACN as a wiling tool and pick them and they are shouting we are sophisticated people shocked grin, in 2019 let APC choose Osinbajo as presidential candidate and let PDP choose a Northener, they will see that SW votes will be nothing and PDP will win with a landslide
