The woman is the best economist Africa had ever produced for decades, if the haters of the woman like let them continue, the more they write trash about her, the more the woman is honored for her good job both internationally and locally. The woman that initiated and got paris club to cancel Nigeria debt, that worth billions of dollars and managed Nigeria economy when Obasanjo inherited only $2 billion as country total money and guided Nigeria economy to become the biggest economy in Africa, managed the Nigeria economy when the oil was selling below $40 and make Nigerians not to feel the impact.

enlightenedmind:
For those us that have been following recent trends in not just Nigerian affairs but in global geo-political space and world affairs, we can all recognize the Niger Delta Avengers exactly for what they are. Western Economic Hitmen sent to facilitate the dis-integration of oil rich states around the globe. We all know what will happen next. We initially though the South Southerners and South Easterners would be wiser to their ploy but they too fell for the tricks like Lybia, Syria and Afghan did. I think the best course of action now is for we in the SW, Central, North-West and North-East to protect our lands from the falling bimbs from the skies. These bombs will inevitably be thrown in the Niger-Delta and the land will be dis-integrated. I think it is time for Nigerians to discuss how we would cut off the SE and SS before the Americans come. This is to ensure that the american and russian bombs only land on biafra land.

We must also ensure that at this time we do not have the same identity with SE/SS. This means we must now differentiate our passports, and make the old passports unacceptable internationally.

Lastly all SEs and SSs must be chased out of every other part of the country back to their lands. We would build a new Nigeria strong and rid of tribal hate and self acclaimed supremacy

This in my opinion is the best course of action. I do not believe we need oil. Renewable energy is what we must aim for. The americans r making oil irrelevant so its time to buckle up.

Can you compare the population of this countries to the population of the SE? We are talking about 55-60million Igbos trapped between Nigeria and Niger delta. Lots of money would be wasted to import and export duties charged by Nigeria snd ND. There is nothing like having an acces to the sea and having countrol over your own airspace
Business is not done like that, they will not charge any money on Biafra for clearing goods from their port, Mali uses Gambia port for free on a trade agreement, and airspace have no meaning because Nigeria and ND republic will also be flying over Biafra airspace

Its not a welcomed developement, If Niger delta succed they would effectively landlock Biafra. Biafra would depend on Niger delta and Nigeria for importation and exportation . We would just start a war that we would keep on fighting after ending one.
Check the map of Europe and locate countries like Austria, Czech and Slovakia, without access to the sea does that prevent them from developing, Botswana is the best country in Africa, did they have access to the sea huh huh huh huh huh

Three things because of time:
1. The hope of the mew republic is hinged on oil, and taking clues from what Dickson and Sylva said, if there ever going to be a Niger Delta republic or Ijaw republic, then , it might be a lawless welfarist state.

2. I don't really think the Yoruba will lose as many are postulating here. Firstly, many of d offshore oil will fall under that country beside their new discoveries. I think through international boundary adjustments many will be shocked that like the case of Bakassi, what u think are yours now may actually not be yours when international laws become applicable.
I also think the Yoruba can claim as far as Ode Itsekiri and Escravos which will give them sufficient energy resources and harness its existing infrastructures for its growth. Among d lines of division in Nigeria, the Yoruba has the best chance of survival as a country.
3. The Igbo do not need oil to survive.I believe their continued romance with Niger Delta is for d purpose of commerce through d sea, not that the Igbo country can't survive but the tendencies of accelerated progress can be more assuring when there are seaports.

People often deride the Hausa, I pity you. They are exposed to such vast land that can make a huge success.
Yoruba have the best chance of survival as a country and they are too afraid to form their own country, always calling for war on innocent people that want to leave Nigeria. The truth of the matter is that it is only Igbos and Niger Delta, can survive as a country and Yorubas and the North know that one, because once the Igbos and Niger Delta pull out from Nigeria, it is finished for Yorubas and the North, and you people know that one, if you people have the potentials to survived, why are you people always so agitated by the attempt by Igbos and ND to leave the luggard cage

It is a pity that some people are still supporting, APC clueless government, You blame your bad leadership on, Jonathan ,that manage the economy for six years and make Nigeria to be an African biggest economy. You blame it on oil prices slump, but Yaradua manage the economy successfully at crude oil price of, $40 without much inflation. APC led by Buhari is a confuse and shameful party. Today oil prices is selling at $47 and APC is still hanging on low oil prices to defend their poor management of the economy whereas before Yaradua and Obasanjo has managed the economy at oil prices below $40 with less inflation.
