Moderator kindly push this to front page.
We need to start dealing with these guys in our little ways, pending when security agencies would pick them up. Very seriously, any way to hunt these set of people down, I would volunteer. They are becoming headache to jobseekers. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Please House, Has Any Body Ever Secured Job Via This Group Called Jiji? by raykayasp(m): 4:31am On Nov 15, 2016 |
Craven: You sound like you work for Jiji. "We verify companies by calling them a few times." I have a few words for you to take back to those you work for.
I must confess, calling your supposed recruiters 'a few times' is a poor way to verify companies. I am disappointed that you'd entrust the safety of your subscribers into the hands of people you've just called 'a few times'. Because anyone can pick up the phone and claim a false identity. Did you even take the time to meet these people in person? Did you check online presence to verify company details? Did you visit company addresses and make research about these companies? You need to do much more that 'calling a few times' in ensuring that scammers do not have access to your website.
There is this particular 'recruiter', Bluplanet. They use the email address rc.bluplanet@hotmail.com to source for unknowing candidates to scam. I was curious about them and dialed their number one time. A guy picked the phone. There was music playing in the background (what kind of company allows employees play hip hop music in a workplace?). I asked him a few question and he couldn't give a satisfactory answer. He didn't even know what he was saying. Later, he sent a message stating an address I should come to for an interview; "Trinity house 84, Itire road by Morgan bus stop, Mushin-Lagos." This same address has been used by different scammers claiming to be from a different company each time. How can different companies be at the same address?
I carried out a small research on the internet (something everyone at Jiji seems to be too lazy to do) and found out that this scammer copied the career page of Ernst and Young's website and pasted the description as his.
Here is a link to the scammer's page on Jiji - http://yaba./internship-jobs/graduate-trainee-intern-426282.html
Now is this the kind of people you claim to call 'a few times'? Let's be honest, Jiji offers poor services. The website is the abode of scammers looking to take advantage of unknowing job seekers. And the fact that the website isn't even taking appropriate measures to tackle that is a disappointment.
Don't ask anyone to review their opinion. Review the fake recruiters on your poor website instead. I give it to you 50times with this yhur drop. kudos! |

Following an online job-seeking mail submission, here is what i received. In my own perception, I take it as a 'shaky' deal. WHAT DO U KNOW ABOUT THIS plz??
" I received your CV and i'm impressed with it, i shortlisted your name among applicants that will be invited for the training and interview next week.
Due to the fact that most applicants that came for interview recently has very little or no knowledge and experience in the oil and gas field, our company engaged the services of a reputable oil and gas training firm (DONATECHS LTD) led by renowned oil & gas expert Engr DONATUS IBEH to train all applicants before the interview, all applicants are required to pay the training fee of 6,500 naira to the training firm, once you pay the fee to them, your name will be confirmed among applicants that will be invited for the training and interview next week.
I give you my word and assurance that you will be offered employment after the training and interview, well over 85% of applicants that attended past training and interviews were employed, i'm impressed with your CV so be rest assured you will be employed because i will recommend you for employment after your interview.

cdsloane: Hello Nairalanders,
My name is Isiaka Olaide Saidi, I am a graduate of Adekunle Ajasin University, Ondo state and a prospective corps member of Bacth B 2015.
It is unfortunate that i have been unable to create a user account or proceed with my registration as i am stucked on the user account creation page, precisely the pre-payment page as it indicates as follows, 'No details found. Please confirm that your details are correct. Ensure your school provided correct details'
My details on the senate approved list are correct. However the status on the senate approved list indicates as follows: 'Matric no. in use (Login using your email and Password) by Alli Selimat Bidemi(oladimejiselimat@gmail.com)'
I have contacted the Student affairs department of my institution. The student affairs officer has informed me that my details on the senate approved list which was uploaded to the NYSC portal are correct and the error can only be fixed by NYSC.
Note, I have contacted NYSC via the various support channels provided and no response has been received yet
I have also contacted Alli Selimat Bidemi, whose Matric no is 080301022 and a member of Batch A 2015, currently serving.
I have never registered on the NYSC portal nor asked anybody to do so on my behalf.
My Details are listed as follows:
Institution: Adekunle Ajasin University Matric no: 080301035 Jamb Reg No: 82974544JG Surname: Isiaka Other names: Olaide Saidi Date of birth: 23 March 1989 Date of graduation: 03/18/2014 Phone no: 08061324755 E-mail: isiaka.saidi@gmail.com
Please I'm open to options, suggestions and advice as I am running out of time.
Attached are screenshots of the Senate Approved list showing my details and the user account creation page showing the error message. i currently have a friend wu hav d same problm as urs, after all online trials, she was later advised to visit d nearest nysc secretariat. you r advised to do so ontime.. gudluck. |
