Education / Re: The Earth Surface Is Flat!!! 200 Proofs by raynold(m): 1:16am On Apr 18, 2017
A surveyor and engineer of thirty years published in the Birmingham Weekly Mercury stated, “I am thoroughly acquainted with the theory and practice of civil engineering. However bigoted some of our professors may be in the theory of surveying according to the prescribed rules, yet it is well known amongst us that such theoretical measurements are INCAPABLE OF ANY PRACTICAL ILLUSTRATION. All our locomotives are designed to run on what may be regarded as TRUE LEVELS or FLATS. There are, of course, partial inclines or gradients here and there, but they are always accurately defined and must be carefully traversed. But anything approaching to eight inches in the mile, increasing as the square of the distance, COULD NOT BE WORKED BY ANY ENGINE THAT WAS EVER YET CONSTRUCTED. Taking one station with another all over England and Scotland, it may be stated that all the platforms are ON THE SAME RELATIVE LEVEL. The distance between Eastern and Western coasts of England may be set down as 300 miles. If the prescribed curvature was indeed as represented, the central stations at Rugby or Warwick ought to be close upon three miles higher than a chord drawn from the two extremities. If such was the case there is not a driver or stoker within the Kingdom that would be found to take charge of the train. We can only laugh at those of your readers who seriously give us credit for such venturesome exploits, as running trains round spherical curves. Horizontal curves on levels are dangerous enough, vertical curves would be a thousand times worse, and with our rolling stock constructed as at present physically impossible.”

Brother, when u vote a tyrant, u hv just submitted by freewill. Sorry to say but th youths can't do much if they tried...

The case of 2face's protest comes to mind.

Nig police on antigovt rally: Nobody should partake, there waz intelligence report that hoodlums want to hijack the rally.

Nig police on probuhari rally: support support support.

Spits*
Nigerian youths have so much to do.. the problem now is that most of us(the youth) instead of airing our personal views we air the views of this criminals. Imagine when the youths of a country are more interested in calling each other names, than to actually hold this greedy criminals accountable for what they have done and what they are still doing to this country. Its really just so sad, i know people(my former economic geology lecturer etc) that will do a whole lot of good for this country but instead we have thieves ruling us..

Each day i read comments of people calling each other zombie, wailers, flat heads, afonja etc now how will a country filled with so much hate for one another grow..

Thank you so much...you made a lotta sense esp. as regards insulting remarks in various comments

most of d commentators on this forum are either #Istandwithbuhari crew or #Istandwithgej crew...
the former would not see anything wrong wit d present administration while d latter fails to see anything commendable in dis govt....objective analysis is really lacking...once this trend continues, d politicians would keep having a field day knowing their lackeys would keep singing their praises...it's very unfortunate
the faster we realize this old men do not deserve our votes the better for this country.. we the youths are also to blame for the present condition of this country, all we do is seat back insult one another, while they continue to milk us dry. did you hear of the Romania incident, now that is a country were the youth know their right and also have rights. we are blinded by tribe, religion etc we have a long way to go.. a country were the minister of the countries capital must come from the North, is that one country.

are the bolded really necessary sir?

Replying a post with insult is now customary on among nigerian youths. It baffles me that we no longer know how to be civil in replying a post. Must we resort to insult?
No mater how obvious, fact finding, glaring or beautiful your comment is, the moment you add insultive word(s), it loses substance.
Lets learn to respect others opinion and be civil in our comment. We are all here debating on how our leaders are not getting it right, insulting each other will never get us out of the mess we are. lets stop the blame game, lets put out religious, ethnic and political sentiments apart, let us as youth
bro i did not insult anyone, i never have and never will. if you go through my past comments i actually complained about this.

If you mismanage your money or emptied your bank account today after making a lot of money, you will suffer the effect tomorrow so obviously, your actions yesterday will dictate your situation today or determine if you are going to eat or not or pay your bills or not. It's common sense and basic logic.

Yes we should talk about solutions, but the OP decided to play the blame game and fed us ignorance instead. This topic should have been about solutions instead of the ignorant ramblings and ignoring how we arrived at this sorry state.

You and the OP are free to start with solutions and I'll contribute my own solutions too.
believe you me, if i should handle that budget i'll most likely save us billions of naira or even trillion. why don't we start their.
getting a better economic team will go a long way. as much as it pains me to say, we need ngozi okonjo-iweala help/consult, we need all the help we can get right now..

you still sound like you blame GEJ for all that is happening to us, GEJ is the biggest scam non to man but PMB is really not far behind..

When you mismanage your salary today, you will suffer tomorrow.

Borrowing hundreds of billions to pay salaries and looting your treasury dry and decimating your forex reserves to pay salaries when oil was selling for $100 per barrel, it means you are going to suffer when oil starts selling for $40.

Jonathan introduced recession back in 2014 and Okonjo promised to come up with more austerity measures in January 2015, less than 5 months before PMB.

Educate yourself first before ranting.

so what policies has PMB implemented? from 222/$ to 510/$, high cost of living, no increase in minimum wage(even war torn countries earn more) etc in 2 years.. you honestly can't blame all that on GEJ..

We should be talking about solutions here and not blaming someone, if you are the CEO of a company and you keep blaming past CEO's for the current situation of the company after 2 years do you think you will still have that job, the board/Nigerians already know the person heading the office in the past messed up greatly and you were hired to fixed the problem and not to blame past persons for 2years..

You Pro Buhari, anti Buhari, Pro GEJ and anti GEJ can all argue and insult each other till the kingdom come. But one thing about these kinds of argument is that there is never a winner. In fact, u all are losers. So what is the point?

I was asking a top HR director in this country why they don't recruit thier very top management from Nigeria and she said Nigerians are full of excuses and don't take ownership of any problem. But the truth is that is who we are.

Whatever bullshit that happened in the past, somebody campaigned to fix it, went round the whole country begging for a chance to fix the rot, he was given the chance to fix the damage but then all we hear is excuse upon excuse on why the problem is getting worse.

Let's just agree for a second that they were the same corrupt people under PDP, what stopped Jonathan and his EFCC and law enforcement agencies from investigating, prosecuting and jailing them? last time I checked, they all defected while Jona was in office.

You people come up with the lamest logic to excuse away corruption.

Going by your flawed and 2 year old kid logic that we can not blame jona based on the way the people before him like OBJ and Atiku ran the country, then you can not blame PMB for how Jona ran the country.

Should we also blame OBJ, Atiki and PMB for the wholesale and institutionalized looting and stealing under Jona and also for Jona borrowing hundreds of billions to pay workers salaries?

I feel terrible for even paying you any attention.

Question, are you trying to say MB government is corruption free?

chaii Nigeria is truly finished, woww how people find nothing wrong in a president that has gone awol for over two weeks amazes me.. Nigerians voted this man in and he can't even acknowledge us the people he claims to preside over, instead he is busy taking pictures with criminals, or do we the people now have to visit him in London to know that all is well.. We truly have a long way to go in this country.

we Nigerians are a complete disgrace to the human race.. the sooner we realize that the old fools do not give a damn about us the better..

I truly do not regret me not having a voters card, i can never stand under hot Nigerian sun and risking my life for any of this criminals.
