Afam4eva: The truth is; I usually get confused with this whole Ijaw thingy. When i was young, i lived in Port-Hacourt and we used to have this huge convention in church where people from Rivers, Bayelsa and some parts of Abia(mostly Aba) used to attend and there were translators for people who didn't understand English or weren't fluent in English. I was noticed that there were different translators for Nembe, Okrika, Kalabari etc and i'm like "Aren't this people all Ijaw? Can't they get one translator for everybody?". It seems to me as the Ijaw that;s spoken in Nembe and other parts of Ijawland are very different. Exceot it's a Rivers/Bayelsa thing because they also used to have different translators for Ikwerres, Ndoni, Etche and other Igbo groups in Rivers state. Ikwerre people are just plain Igbo people that settled in Rivers state and mixed with the Kalabaris, Okrikas, Ogonis and the others, but an Ikwerre person would disagree with me. If you hear an Ikwerre person that has H factor speak English without knowing where they are from, you would think that the person is an Igbo person. |

Why are you asking me such questions? And who told you that that Chicago is a very cold place? It hasn't snowed passed 8" for about 2 yrs now and its 45F-7C today, I have even been thinking of moving to Canada lately. No, i have never been to the UK before although, some family members have been offering to sponsor my trip there, but nah not now. Yeah there are some, but all of them are like 50 and above. And their young children........... I can just call all of them Akatas. |
