brendan007:Okay, bro. I've ordered for the ESCs. But they don't have 5V supply for the FC and other little components. So I ordered a PDB too. Hopefully, I'll get them in 2 - 3 weeks and continue the build. |

brendan007:I actually open another thread solely for quadcopter and that's where I've posted more. Here's a link to the thread. https://www.nairaland.com/4147249/how-build-quadcopter I sold the last craft I made. Presently, I'm making another using a slightly bigger frame. Also, I want to try Blheli ESCs instead of the SimonK that I've been using. On the other thread, I was working on a 250mm on iNav firmware for added features especially Mission flying. I'll share the updates here too. Parts list 260mm frame (Available) 2206 2200kv motors (available) Omnibus F3 FC (available) BLheli ESCs (Yet to order) 1500 4S Lipo (yet to order)

Hello. Still thanking all who contacted me with queries about this topic. I am grateful for you interests/criticism. After test-flying the last build, I was quite impressed by the hardware and wanted to proceed with the next phase; advanced flight modes. 1. WP (Waypoints) With WP feature, the Quadcopter is supposed to be able to fly a pre-planned mission on a pre-set parameters (distance, altitude). 2. Follow-Me This feature is supposed to make the craft follow the controller. This is done via constant update of GPS position passed to the FC through a Bluetooth or WiFi connectivity. Unfortunately, I had a short circuit which fried the FC and GPS module. I've ordered for replacement and will hopefully pick them tomorrow. Updates will come as soon as I get everything set. |
Hello... I have used/new Drone accessories for sale. Brushless motors (1000/920/2200kv) Flight controllers Electronic Speed controller (ESC) Power distribution Board Radio receivers Quadcopter frames (250/330/450mm). I also have a 3S 2200mah Lipo battery for sale too. Let me know if you need any. And if you have a broken drone, I can help you fix it. Thank you.

prinzadey:Mail sent. Thank you |
LionDeLeo:I want to believe I understand your point but running out to politicise and unfortunate incident like this makes me wonder what we have done in this country to deserve both you and the guys you criticize. I really wish I have time to reply all those imps that can't see this as it is: an unfortunate and despicable incident that has befallen fellow Nigerians, security men for that matter. Until we rise above the hate and bitterness, this country will continue to go nowhere. |
ShegzyB:I mistakenly did it with a 2000 Camry. Speed was about 110km/h on airport road Abuja. Going up a little incline, I'd say the tranny was in the 4th gear as I had kick up to overtake another vehicle... Then, one mumu ran into the road right under a pedestrian bridge. In my confusion at that moment, I depressed the gear shift lever and moved into reverse. I think the tires changed rotation or came to a total stop cos I heard a screeching sound. I moved back to D instantly. It's been 2 years and my gearbox remains fine. It's a bad idea to try this deliberately. |
Hello... Here's an update on the 250mm quadcopter build. A heads-up for people who didn't start with us on the thread but who are interested in more details, I planned a build based on an F1 FC with a 250mm frame for fast flights. Over time, I've made changes. 1. 20a ESCs to replace the initial 30a to cut a little weight. 2. F3 Flight controller in place of F1. This will allow us expand the features of the copter later. 3. PPM receiver in place of PWM since F3 FC doesn't support PWM directly. 4. iNAV firmware instead of Betaflight to avail me GPS-based like RTH, ALTHLD and WP. I eventually performed a test flight this afternoon and the craft flew impressively. It's easily the fastest thing I've built. I will discuss iNAV firmware, the Omnibus F3 and their features later. I couldn't take much pictures since I went to field alone

Rotentina:Sent you a mail already, chief. |
Rotentina:You have mail. |
RCDIY:So, I spent the best part of weekend working on the iNAV version for my FC. I however couldn't finish it. There were issues with the GPS and Magnetometer. First, it appeared the GPS couldn't perform well at the height I installed (probably due to electromagnetic field from the brushless motors). I increased the height and issue was resolved. The magnetometer, on the other hand, would not stay on. I tried all I could to no avail. I eventually found a solution online: installing a 'pull down' resistor in the Mag circuit. I'll do the soldering this even and try again.

Rotentina:If you mean a camera, you can install one on the quadcopter. It's either it will a good, small size camera (typically HD action camera) or a normal camera for FPV. The HD camera will obviously record videos. You can transmit videos/audios in real-time (maybe a bit of latency depending on quality of Transmitter/receiver) and view on a Google or a monitor. That way, you can actually fly the drone beyond line of sight or to the peripherals of the Transmitter range. |
tdboy59:Send a message on WhatsApp, bro. |
RCDIY:Below is the PPM receiver. I also go a PWM - PPM converter so that my old PPM receivers don't become useless. I'll continue work on the Q250 with F3 FC running on iNAV this weekend

MDonSwitch:Great! I will contact you, sir |
peacemara54:Thank you, bro. Expecting your mail. |
kolawoleibukun:Thank you, bro |
kolawoleibukun:Are you happy just messing up this thread? Would you have me close it just for you to rest? |
Ilajeboy:Please send me a mail (ogocology@gmail.com) |

You're right. We should ignore him. Thank you. |
kolawoleibukun:I've been to your profile and gone through some of your posts. 1. You're yet to create a single post on NL even though you've made about 250 posts on other people's threads where you trade insults. 2. You seem to have a lot of negative energy. Please take it easy. Thank you |
toxicbrain:Hope you had a good laugh. Please educate yourself on words and their synonyms. |
Aventures:Not sure if it's okay to post links here. But try Ali-Express and Banggood. |
Hello... Thank you all for your interest and comments. I have been actually waiting for PPM receiver to enable me continue the model I have been working on. This model, a 250 size quad, will feature an F3 Flight controller running on iNAV software. I intend to integrate advanced features like position/altitude hold, RTH, mission capabilities and 'follow me'. The receiver is presently at the post office. Will pick up after work. |
Aventures:Thank you. I actually started making a drone for my son's first birthday. While on it, I got more interested and it became my hobby. I plan putting my children toward careers as pilots, UAV operators or or craft design and maintenance. You can get all you need online. Thank you |
obatoro:You can search online. I get all my parts online |
iukpe:Brother, don't waste your time on folks who don't have anything better to do with their time. I'm sure he's still a Jambite |
devdanArthur98:RC parts and accessories. |
toxicbrain:Professor, kindly teach us the difference between building and assembly in the context of crafts and machineries. Thank you |
