There's someone here though, who was quite consistent in my dealings with him but I honestly find his approach a bit too cold for my liking. I've also told him same. I have given a positive review of his services earlier and have a pending order with him at the moment still within projected timeline.

This part of my earlier post actually was referring to papalasun. He's not one for long talks but he hasn't missed a single timeline provided for all orders I've made through him.
He has been honest and consistent on all orders that passed through him.
Even though this last order were battery goods (they are difficult to ship and takes longer) he delivered them as agreed.
And he's definitely the cheapest, especially when it comes to local logistics.

So here's another positive review for Funkam Logistics (papalasun). Thank you for saving the day!

I intentionally spread my late December/early January orders (about 10 orders) over a number of 'shippers' who advertised here. It's was a horrible mistake in most part. Too many stories.
After sometime, my aim was no longer to make profit but to minimise losses. Of course they'd make excuses and quickly absolve themselves of blames. Stuff that were advertised for 7 - 10 days took over 25 - 30 days yet the agent insisted on collecting his stated sum.
I paid extras for 3 - 5 days shipping. Items arrived in over 30 days... Lol. Most of these guys are just plain mean.

My advice:
1. Make up your mind that there will be delays in shipments.

2. If what you're buying is not too expensive and quantities are small, please buy from AliExpress and ship through the post office. Some items I ordered on Ali arrived before these the ones I paid extras for.

3. Don't believe their shipping duration at all. All these 3 - 5 days/ 7 - 10 days na wash.

4. Do not contact anyone here if you're not a VERY patient person.

5. If your order is for business and profit margins are low, please don't use anyone here.

I may give more details of my experience in due course. For now, I'm still mourning my losses. This country is hard.

Guys, is there any way to negotiate down custom duties? I got charged over 90k for items not worth more than 50k. I suspect the charge is from DHL and not customs.
If anyone has a contact that can help sort this out, I will be grateful..

Don't mind them. Some of us like to badmouth the country at the slightest opportunity.

On 2 occasions, I contacted seller to discuss after I received goods already refunded. One case was AE and the other, a shop in the US. They both told me it doesn't matter. The goods were insured and so I didn't have to pay him back. Some others asked that I buy place a new order and confirm it received, which I did.
Surely there are people who even lie about their orders just so they'd claim a refund but they're certainly not in the majority.

I shipped some items to a Chinese address and there's no way to track them. I'm having difficulty confirming if they've been received or not.
