Good morning house. Please I drive a 2013 Altima. Firstly Theres an issues with the shift lock button, I have to use a sharp objects to press it before I can move my gear from park. The shift lock button itself is broken at the top so u have to press it inside the hole. I don't know if there's a remedy or I should continue with this method since it seems like a security measure to me. Secondly I noticed the transmission is not smooth at all, don't know what to do about that, like when you are driving and listening to the engine change its gears it's quite irregular. Finally I noticed sometimes the gear doesn't not change to a higher gear while speeding and the O/D now shows on the dashboard until I press d Of/D button on the gear then it normalises. I am in Asaba.

Oga Gazzuzz, my Nissan Altima 2003 keeps going off intermittently while in motion, for no obvious reason.
While driving at any time, the car just seems to trip off and go off, with the AC and power windows still working.
Then when you try to restart it, it cranks for some time before coming on, like its trying to start but finding it hard to start.
Sometimes it restarts immediately, but most times, you have to crank it like 2-3 seconds before it restarts. Sometimes I have to pump the accelerator pedal a few times while cranking it, before it restarts.
Was scanned some time ago (at least my mechanic claimed he took it for a scan), with no definite results. Can't get the results of the last scan.
However the problem still persisted.
Had the fuel pump changed like 1-2 months ago (because the car was not starting at all at that time and my mech said the fuel pump had gone bad), the problem seemed to abate for a few days/weeks and restarted again after that.
I've noticed it seems to be particularly worse after rains, can trip off 4-5 times in a 15 minute trip, but sometimes may not occur at all for one or several short trips.
Any ideas on what the issue is??

I'm considering buying a car with a swapped engine, so I'm seeking advice from professionals here in NL.
For example, I've seen a Volkswagen passat (2.5L, V6) being swapped with a Volkswagen golf 3 (1.6L). What are the advantages and disadvantages?
To me I think the weight of the Passat would drag the small golf 3 engine, making it to work harder, thereby making it to consume more fuel than normal.
Please I would really appreciate professional advice and experiences.
