Health / Re: Sex Preselection, Is It Possible? by readydad(m): 10:20am On Sep 14, 2010
Limar my friend, its not so difficult I discovered wink knowing the ovulation day is a combination of several factors and methods: temperature, body fluids and calender and observation for some months. Your wife will have to know her body readings carefully too. Google billings' method and leave the rest to God.

GenBuhari:

I wonder whether baby dancing every day during fertile periods would help. We have been babydancing daily a week now, since day 10 or 11 of her cycle.

Methinks everyday for a week is rather too much for a baby boy wink, the advise is to target the real ovulation day or the highest peak and not for the whole fertile days!

GenBuhari:

@ada24 .
No offence taken.
I fully understand where you are coming from - I saw the tv programme also and was surprised how obsessed some of the women were (and it was nearly always the women that were obsessed) undecided

Incidently it seems my wife is also beginning to go this way -to the extent she want us to get medical assistance to concieve a boy but I am strongly against that idea.

@labella12,
Thanks for your explanation smiley
Is it interesting that lifespan of female and male spermatozoa mirrors (in minature) those of females and males respectively grin

I completely empathise with you man. I have been on this issue and had valuable replies on thesame topic in this forum. Check them out in this link:

Is all advice from a 'elder' good? I wonder what kind of advice we can adhere to from the likes of OBJ

Of course plenty plenty fringe benefits. Or you thought only the British monarchy get royal treatment? The Oba's life is one of leisure and comfort for himself and his descendants for life. He is a mover and shaker in society and never has to work for anything. Free food, cars, houses and property, even free phone credit sef wink
Family / Re: Men: Would You Carry Your Baby On Your Back At Home? by readydad(m): 11:42am On Aug 12, 2010
Too funny, many men miss out of the opportunity to form a lifelong bonding process in the name of being 'macho' The women already have the biological advantage over us in bonding by carrying the kids utero for 9 months and breastfeeding for many months later so we should use every chance to be close to our kids to make up if we want to have them love us dearly later in life.

Inked_Nerd:

If I can remember the name of the procedure that I saw, I'll get back to you. I hope I'm not offending you, but it doesn't seem like its worth it. Its such a costly procedure. On the bright side, if you guys have 10 or 15 children you can start you own football team lol.

Thanks a lot for your suggestion. A fat lot of good it will do me to have 15 kids mostly beautiful girls who would have drained my bank account by the time they are old enough for high school. They fix their hair (even at their tender age) with more than I spent cutting my hair. If only I can persuade my wife that 3 is enough girls or boys sigh!

Do you see what i can't see, cos from what i can see, the original post is still a work in progress, and needs more input from the OP to make sense tongue

I agree, the problem is kinda obsure.I cant see very clearly the nut (or is it knot)of the problem. I must have been infected with thesame eye problem busybody has here lol shocked

Inked_Nerd:

I've seen it on tv on ABC, reporters interviewed a woman who had 4 sons and wanted a daughter. Its possible but it costs thousands of dollars. Its a cheap procedure at all. I've never heard of the procedure being done outside of the US though undecided Why do you want a son so bad if you don't mind me asking?

After 3 daughters my wife really wants a son and am scared she wont stop having till we hit 10 or 15! embarassed and that thot stresses me no end!
Food / Re: Should Boys Help Out In Cooking Food? ? by readydad(m): 1:56pm On Aug 10, 2010
Of course since boys have 2 hands and one mouth and usually bigger appetites, they should learn how to cook and take their turns in the kitchen chores. As a kid we rotated the chores equally and my sisters can change sockets and car tires as well as men can wink. My parents believed all skills were to learnt equally for survival in any situation

Readydad at least you did not plug in to sell us some magical chewing stick so i no vex with you oh grin
I was just cranky on that day and was reading through posts and saw some hearbal medication ,links ,church names called out etc. some links are sometimes insensitive (i know it is the web no control on nothing)and the last thing we women need here is someone just thinking they know the very root of everyones problem was just making sure nobody was disturbing my sisters here.so just said how i felt no hard feelings towards you.And of course this place is for everyone just that some links and posts just tie my brain in a knot.
Meanwhile let me yab you small since i am still crancky and my husband has gone to work and you are the man that came my way i was on my own jeje je so,
You are looking for method to have boys? grin grin you men una no dey taya oh so the girls are decoration abi? if you find the method post it here oh. grin

lol mama-bonboy or baby, thank God u that did not vex for me o! I fear vexed pregnant women cry they are awesome n their element. No be me want boy o! na my wife. She insists and am scared for us not to hit baby number 10 in her quest! Me, I love my girls(and they are beautiful and precious I tell u). Keep ya fingers crossed for us. I am searching all sites and all helpful sources. That link up helped with other issues sha!

Where is busybody then? was kind of enjoying her humour. But really, the problem is not being solved.
Health / Re: Sex Preselection, Is It Possible? by readydad(m): 12:33pm On Aug 10, 2010
Yes already read and tried the billings method for my 2nd and 3rd daughters but alas! it didnt succeed. When is immediately after her menses? it differs in duration so it's kind of difficult to use that guage. Thanks anyway for the tip.

Not to sound annoying but i am getting slightly irritated by people who just come in here one time and drop links on how to get pregnant or advertise for some mumbo jumbo thing. We really appreciate all your info, but it is getting annoying , you know nothing about the people here you just think everyone has the same issues so sending a link on how to hump from The 9th day to 14 day of ovulation is the magic trick or someone chewing your herbal stick will make them pregnant presto!!! angry maybe i am just hormonal today who knows but this is how i feel. angry

Moving on, Hello my people i am fine i thank God can not complain just taking each day a step at a time.
I am just having some wicked back pain trying to find a good sleeping position getting hard and i think this child has tuned my bladder into a trampoline because yesterday on my way to church i peed 4 times in 10 minutes not fun at all but i will just smiley
My peace No be small Boy Alinco i say i don rest for the matter for now before i give my self brain gay. I am thinking that stages has dropped the baby oh has anyone heard from her?

Haba Arlington mom-to be, it must be the hormones talking oh! pele anyway for the back pain, it will surely ease off after the baby comes(I speak as an experienced papa of 3 girls). I came upon this thread after posting a problem on how to easily concieve a boy pikin in another thread and found this one equally interesting. The link some of us post is to help other posters find possible solutions, afterall we also freely got the info and spreading it does no harm surely? unless of course if this thread is meant only for a real MD, I believe its a free world to share information and it is left to the consumer's discretion to select what to take or leave.

Hey men and women trying to conceive! the internet is really great. Being able to talk so freely about this hitherto hush hush issue is awesome. The resources too are limitless. Stumbled upon this thread and also on this one from another site and thought to share it, I believe it would be useful for all TTCs:

Family / Re: Deposed Deji’s Wife Begs For His Return by readydad(m): 12:29pm On Aug 09, 2010
I agree, she must be crazy angry to protect what children's interest? they are better off without a father like the Deji jare! he meant to take her life for goodness sake, what if he had succeeded? what would those kids or her parents say? If the Olori were to be my sister or daughter, I would dress her down for that kind of move. She was ill advised.
