My dear nairalanders and health practitioners in the house, a close one of mine abroad have been complaining about serious pains on his waist since last year in which the waist have been swelling up too. He has went to various government hospitals over there abroad and all they do is to always give him appointment for a long time to come back and when he goes back, they will tell him that they can't treat him and direct him to another hospital and when he gets to the new hospital they will also do the same thing.

A nurse in one of the hospital told him it's lumbar disorder and sciatic pain after examining him but said she can't do anything about it and directed him to another hospital, but when he got to the hospital they also couldn't do anything. Mind you, the language barrier over there is also a big issue for him and the health practitioners over there.

My dear nairalanders and health practitioners in the house, please, is there any drug one can get to help treat this lumbar disorder and sciatic pain? Even if it's to get it here in Nigeria and send it to him, that wouldn't be an issue.

1. Loneliness Will Deal With You


In Nigeria, even if you’re broke, you have people. Neighbours, family, friends, noise, gist.
Abroad?

You can stay months without real human connection.
Everyone is busy. Everyone is tired. Everyone minds their business.


Many Nigerians abroad battle silent depression, but won’t say it because they don’t want people back home saying “you wanted to japa, now see you.”


2. You’ll Work Jobs You Never Imagined
That “abroad” dignity fades fast.
Doctors become caregivers.
Engineers wash dishes.
Graduates do night shifts nobody wants.


Nothing is wrong with honest work — but the mental shock is real, especially when you remember how people respected you back home.


3. Bills Will Humble You
Yes, currency is strong — but expenses are stronger.
Rent.
Tax.
Insurance.
Transport.
Utilities.

I was in in Lasustech(former Laspotech) area at Ikorodu, Lagos for about 2weeks last month and the power situation there was something else despite the area being a student environment. They hardly see light for up to 30 minutes in a day over there and the people told me that the situation has been so since January this year. Same thing my people in my hometown are also complaining to me all the time, and someone else living and working in a big man environment in Lagos island just make same complain and u are busy talking out of point as usual.

A commissioned Naval officer has better responsibilities than standing as a security man in an undeveloped property of a former CNS. Soldiers should concentrate on their duties of defending the country from external aggression instead of interrupting pubic officers from during their jobs.

Soldiers only takes order from their superiors, the defence ministry/advisor and the commander in chief. What was Wike himself doing there in the first place if not for abusing, intimidation, oppression and to show off? Is Wike a law enforcer agent? Since the soldier was given an order from his superior, all Wike should have done was to put a call to the defence minister, once the defence minister put a call across it wouldn't take 2 seconds b4 those soldiers evacuate that premises in a civil way and not the oppressed and intimidating way Wike was trying to use on them.
