Anyway, i got my visa too in Abuja 2day. The interview was very similar to Oyewelejo's. He only askd for my I-20 ( Going for Ms, Computer Netwks @ CSU, East Bay) and my GRE scores. There were no WHY questions, Just What School, course, who is sponsor, what does he do etc. No bank statements request. When he asked for my SEVIS receipt, I knew i already got d VISA. From the originator to the very last contributor, thank u all for ur advice, support and prayers. God Bless u all.

SEVIS fee payment when made it will take about 2-5 days for processing depends on the application filed in that week. So when your payment has been reviewed wait for about 2-5 days for them to put it on their date base on the internet to generate the online receipt, then wait for 30 days for the original receipt to be sent to you mailing address or if you pay a extra $30 with the $200 SEVIS fee payment you should get it in 5-7 days maxs. because it will be sent via a courier companies , lie FEDEX,UPS,e.t.c.

i'l say thats an easy question which u made difficult. while not advising you to lie straight out, IMO, me thinks its best if you make no mention of that cause i learnt such things do not encourage them to give you the visa that you might want to find a way of joining your sibling overthere. what i think is best for you then is to pray and hope no such question is asked from you.

My fellow nairalanders, What effect does having a brother who is a citizen in the US have in the success of an F-1 student visa interview. I would not want to lie on that part or any other part the interview. But if it's going to lead to denial, i may not have any other option.

Yeah. we all agree that the xbox 360 has technical flaws, it's blu-ray-less and won't have MGS 4.  But one thing that amazes me is that people keep on trooping out in large numbers to buy the console.
Ohh.  or is it because of its: sleek design and excellent dashboard;Stunning and superior HD graphics in both exclusive and multiplatform games; Xbox live/ marketplace; almost complete backward compatibility.

We all know that the reason gamers buy game consoles is to play game, not to watch movies. Most ps2 consoles in nigeria today don't play DVD movies and the owners are not complaining at all. I doubt even if some of them have ever slotted in a DVD to check wether it's working or not.

Maybe people buy xbox 360 because they want to play FABLE 2, BIOSHOCK, HALO 3, LOST ODYSSEY, MASS EFFECT, DARKNESS, GEARS OF WAR and great multi-platforms like ASSASSIN'S CREED, KANE & LYNCH, COD 4, GTA IV(with online episodic contents for 360 alone), FIFA 08, PES 2008 and not because they want to watch SPIDER-MAN 3 in HI-DEF.

IF YOU WANT TO PLAY GEARS OF WAR 2(Nov., 2008), PLEASE BUY AN XBOX 360 CONSOLE.

Please can anyone hint me on the waiting time for the whole Canadian immigration process? I applied last december(from Nigeria). Someone told me it may have to be the december after next before the completion of the process. How is their interview? i hope i won't be in for a surprise when they finally call me.

Fact is that it is now very difficult a task to choose between both franchise. It's agreed that KONAMI has the gameplay while EA has the presentation and licences. So now, it all depends on what you want from your football game. If you want the game with the most realistic simulation of the beautiful game, then FIFA is your option. FIFA makes you feel like you are actually playing(or watching) 90 minutes of live football footage in which no moment is missing. FIFA is not all about bashin the buttons to put the ball in you opponent's net. It's more about passing, dribbling and shootingin the right manner and also slowing down the play to think and take crucial decisions just the same way a real life player would. There is no doubt that FIFA is the flashier looking game.
But if you want to experience only those magical moments of football(like highlights), where every moment is thrilling while it lasts, PES is the game to go for. Pro Evo provides the complete gamer immersion where you respond to every button press in away comparable to no ther soccer game, not to mention its great multiplayer appeal.

In the end, i do agree with a reviewer who said: "If you prefer GAMING, choose PES; if you prefer FOOTBALL, choose FIFA.

In current gen consoles, Konami has set standard in soccer gameplay. While FIFA is good on the presentation side with the aid of thier licence.

But EA is really harnessing the technology available in the next gen consoles to improve their gameplay to meet that of Konami's. I beleive in the next few years, it will be really difficult to choose one over the other over gameplay alone.

From the two extracts above, it is apparent that there is going to be a heated battle between EA and KONAMI to determine who rules the next-gen soccer genre.

GTA IV is not only coming to xbox 360. Exclusive GTA 4 episodic contents are planned for only the xbox360 (though it's rumoured that Microsoft paid $50 million dollars for that).

It's even speculated that MGS4 may be ported over to the 360 6 months after its ps3 launch.

Check out any game sites for the preview of 360 exclusives like Mass Effect, Fable 2 and youywill confirm what DMZ is saying.

The only war PS3 is winning so far is hi-def movie war or blu-ray vs HD-DVD.
If it's the war in hi-def gaming/game line-ups and exclusives, just check the net, u'll know that the ps3 is lagging way behind the 360.

I am happy to here that about the 360. The 360 is a great system and the wireless pad is amazing except for the huge consumption of batteries. Microsoft claims each fresh battery can last for about 40 hours of gameplay.

I know it's in gameplay, especially the shooting mechanics, that FPS really shines. i was jus talkin' bout my preference. Actually, for players that like shooters, fps is really the genre to go for. When i was playing MGS 2, i was always using the 1st person aim/shot because it was way easier that way. But i do not want to pretend that i am the one shooting because i know i am not the one, it's master chief.

A lot of people are complaining about xbox 360 overheating problems and the 3 red rings of light. For how many hours exactly can one play the 360  and does this overheating really affect the durability of the game? Those of u who use the nyko intercooler, does it really make any difference?

Yeah, i know people are crazy about FPS especially the Halo series but i still prefer it the "GEARS OF WAR" way. I don't like to see just gun or melee weapons moving around. Instead i prefer to see the character i am controlling and all his actions. To me, it's more movie-like.

Does anyone know anything about xbox 360 firmware flashing and upgrading. i heard that after doing it, u can play backup(copied) cds and also back up saved games, media files on your PC Hard drive without chipping the 360. Please, DMZ, if u know anytin bout it, share it wit us.

I have been playing Halo 2 since last week. Although i've never liked FPS. I wonder what people enjoy so much about the Halo series and FP shooters in general.

It's good news that xboxlive marketplace can be accessed from Nigeria. The bad news though is that Starcomms doesn't operate in KD where I stay. So i guess i've got to start looking for "cafe connections". I wonder if live works on telephone dial-up connection.To me, missing out on xboxlive is like missing half of what xbox 360 has to offer.
There has been lots of complaint about the poor xbox 360 ac power supply. Apart from the fact that it is expensive, i heard it's also scarce. so what can a 360 owner do after his power pack get broken.

Are u guys saying that one can connect his/her xbox 360 to any standard cafe and have access to xbox live maketplace?How can one get microsoft points in Nigeria in order to purchase demos and other stuffs from Xboxlive marketplace.

As for hooking your xbox360 to a pc monior, you can order for a HD VGA AV cable online.
This is the cheapest way to get HD visuals(up to 720p) if you have a pc monitor with a VGA input port.

MGS 4 and FINAL FANTASY XIII are PS3's jokers. Have U checked out the trailers for these two games  (on youtube.com).  I must confess, they are hooooooooooooooot. Even though i'm a 360 fan, i must confess ps3 is worth buying even if it's just for these 2 games.

Thanks to microsoft's(or Bill Gate's) fat wallet, Xbox 360 has a great line-up of exclusive games like Mass Effect, KANE and LYNCH: Dead men, Lost Planet, Halo 3, etc.

In this next-gen battle, it's not the console that can do more teraflops that wins the day, but the one with the highest no. of interesting games.

There are lots of gamers who are ok with their dvd drives. Sony should hav made the BD drive an option just the way microsoft made the HD-DVD Drive an option.
