double0seven:Get sense bro, I did go to school Fam. He gave a order and attached this sanction to it. Or will the Hotel say they did not hear or were not duly informed of the governor's directives? |
ThierryJay:Bro there's a big difference with him giving orders and him attaching sanctions to punish defaulters of that order. He already stated the punishment to be meted out for failure to comply to the order, and they willingly disobeyed. Do People who complied to the order have two heads. Movement is allowed insofar as you have permit from.the Governor or you're providing an essential duty to the State. |
misano:But it will limit the spread. Na in two weeks time, Lagos go know wetin dem do dem self. The way cases go high ehn |
ThierryJay:No, that's not what he's doing. As far as he gave a directive before it happened, that's a big difference. Nigerians normally no dey hear word. They like flouting orders. So this punishments will serve as deterrents to future defaulters |
Redstone:Thank You, no mind these cretins wey dey talk nonsense. Inasmuch as I don't like the lockdown that much, certain directives must be in place to curtail the spread of Co-vid19, cause the virus is on a high rise. |
I see some Nigerian's condemning his actions. I don't understand, what is wrong with you people, wetin Una want exactly. Cause insofar as government is concerned or law is concerned, the governor of a state gave and announced an order backed by sanctions which he painstakingly noted out too. People obeyed, but some people consciously flouted the order, now he punishes them according to the aforementioned order he gave, and you guys are condemning him?? Did the citizens who obeyed his directives have two heads ??. What is law or order if it is not backed by sanctions? The guy is just trying to protect his state jare |
Lol, some would say it borders on the mindset one has when hoping for a miracle, some on faith, some on works. It is what it is though

The Nigerian forward was the leading top scorer in the Dutch top-flight before the 2019-20 campaign was abruptly cancelled on Friday Heracles forward Cyriel Dessers said he deserves to win the Eredivisie top scorer award after the season was declared void by the Dutch FA. The KNVB reached the decision in a meeting with clubs on Friday and ruled that there will be no promotion to relegation in the top-flight. Ajax sat on top of the Eredivise table with a superior goal difference ahead of AZ Alkmaar while Dessers was the joint-top scorer in the league alongside Feyenoord 's Steven Berghuis with 15 goals after 26 games. No official decision has been made regarding the top scorer prize, however, Dessers is confident on his chances of winning because he was the first to score the 15th goal of the season, against Ajax in February. "This outcome is unique. We will all remember this day. Nobody yet confirmed I will get the title, but I feel I deserve it,” Dessers told his club's TV channel. “I was on top since November. I'm sure I would have scored some more in the remaining matches. We did very well this year." Following the cancellation of the season, Ajax advance to the play-offs for next season's Champions League while AZ will play in the second qualifying round. Third-placed Feyenoord go straight into the group stage of the Europa League with PSV and Willem II qualifying for the second qualifying round for the competition.

The reduction of player salaries has been a big talking point since the outbreak of the coronavirus, with the Blues deciding against such measures Chelsea have released a statement confirming that, as things stand, their players will not be taking pay cuts to help with the running of the club and that no full-time staff will be furloughed. Football clubs in England - and especially those outside of the Premier League - are experiencing severe financial issues during the coronavirus crisis, with income streams having been decimated. The severity of the situation has led to some clubs asking their players to sacrafice a portion of their salaries, with Arsenal having recently reached an agreement over a 12.5 per cent reduction. And Chelsea have now made an announcement over their stance regarding player salaries, insisting that they are not currently asking their first-team squad to contribute to assist the club's financial situation. The statement read: "Representatives of the Chelsea board have recently held extensive talks with the men’s first team to discuss how they can contribute financially to the club during the coronavirus crisis. "The objective of these talks has been to find a meaningful partnership around ensuring we preserve jobs for staff, compensate fans and participate in activities for good causes. "We are grateful to the team for having played their role in assisting the club with community activities as well as all the charitable causes they have been supporting in their respective home countries and through the Players Together initiative supporting the NHS. "At this time, the men’s first team will not be contributing towards the club financially and instead the board have directed the team to focus their efforts on further supporting other charitable causes. "As this crisis develops the club will continue to have conversations with the men’s first team regarding financial contributions to the club’s activities." The west London club also confirmed that they will not be furloughing full-time staff, adding: "The club can confirm we will not be taking advantage of the government’s current Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme which runs to 30 June. "We are not planning any general redundancies or furloughs for our full-time staff who are continuing to be paid 100 per cent of their current wages. "Casual workers and match day staff employed by the club are being compensated by us through 30 June as if matches had been played and we had been operating as normal. "We are continuing our current level of financial and other support to our professional women players and also to our women’s academy programmes. Our women’s team and staff have been very supportive of our charitable activities during this crisis which has been appreciated by both the club and the respective charities."
