Politics / Re: Sule Lamido Threatens Yusuf Over PDP Campaign Fund by RealYaks: 2:22pm On Apr 17, 2015
dodoniyi:
The war of words between Jigawa State governor, Sule Lamido and ex-Minister of Internal Affairs in the Second Republic, Senator Bello Maitama Yusuf, over Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, campaign funds heightened yesterday, as the governor vowed to jail Yusuf before leaving office on May 29.

Governor Sule Lamido
Senator Yusuf, aside from dragging the leadership of PDP in Jigawa State before a Federal High Court in Dutse for defamation and character assassination, also vowed to expose the governor’s activities and release the threat message sent him by the governor.
The governor and PDP had accused Senator Yusuf of diverting the money given him to distribute to the electorate in his constituency to mobilize them to vote for the party, but was angry that the Senator did not only divert the money but also defected to All Progressives Congress, APC.
Governor Lamido’s text message, according to Senator Yusuf, read: “True, I have only five weeks to go, but I will jail you before I go.
“We also, today (yesterday) at council meeting, discussed Garun Gabas road contract and by council authority sent all related documents to EFCC and copied same to Buhari, the President-elect.”
Effort to contact Commissioner of Information, Babandi Ibrahim, for further comments on the issue proved abortive as he did not pick several calls made to his line.

Let’s see who ‘ll be jailed—YUSUF
However, in a swift reaction, Senator Yusuf explained that no amount of threat and intimidation from Governor Lamido would deter him.

Senator Bello Maitama Yusuf,
He said: “He is just not happy with my defection to APC and if he continues to threaten me, I will expose some of his shady deals. So we will see who will be jailed.”
Meanwhile, Senator Yusuf has sued PDP for defaming his character, having alleged that he diverted N15 million campaign fund given to him to distribute to the electorate in his constituency.
In a statement by Yusuf’s Media Consultant, Mohammed Ismail, he is seeking for an order of perpetual injunction at the Federal High Court, Dutse, against the defendants for defamation of character, asking for N1 billion damages.
Yusuf said: “Did they give me cash or cheque? Sule Lamido will never forgive me because he felt I was the one who brought him down.
“Why should he give me money for campaign? Am I a leader of his party? What kind of money?
“This is a person who will never want go down alone. I swear by Allah, he will never relent to want to tear my name.
“Do you remember five years ago, when he revoked a road contract and said I had to refund some money, which turned out to be false?
“He is just blackmailing me for leaving PDP to join APC and to help in its victory in the just-concluded elections. The whole thing is his fabrication.”

Go and DIE!
Politics / Another Bomb Shell From Sheikh Gumi. Your OPINION? by RealYaks: 7:50am On Apr 03, 2015
Dr. Ahmad Abubakar Mahmud Gumi
2015 Elections
Insha Allah tomorrow I'll give a talk immediately
after the Jumuah prayers on our gratefulness to
Allah.
It's Time for more prayers
Congratulations is given when one relinquishes
power safely and free of major misdeeds while
prayers are for he that ascend to power. Such a
person is never congratulated because of the
enormous responsibly attached to leadership. The
Power that comes effortless without sweat, God
promised to intervene. Power came to GEJ
without plan therefore God came to intervene of
relieving him of the burden despite his inequities.
He's an international hero now.
The anticipated calamity of the very close contest
between GEJ and GMB was only averted by Allah.
Therefore All praises and thanks goes to the
almighty God alone.
No doubt the nation is now sharply divided as a
result of this
division which is still an insidious time bomb. It
has happened in Egypt between the Muslim
brotherhood and the secularists movements
despite being a homogeneous society. It took a
year to explode. So also is in Libya, Yemen and
the other "change' societies. When a sudden
'change' leads to sharp division in polity, the
natural reaction would be a counter reaction and
'sabotage'.
For Nigerians, it's truly unfortunate that so far
the Nigerian economy is based mainly in the
region that doesn't favor the 'change'. This is the
miscalculation that is feared to likely surface
again in the near future. We need more prayers.
As for GEJ, he has seen his miscalculation
already. Had he accepted not to present him self
in the first place as adviced, he would have saved
his party PDP turning into a regional party after
being a national one. So also APC is still just a
multi regional party short of a national one in
every corner of the country.
In the future, considering our peculiar nature, if
the nation survives at all, parties should field the
candidates from the same region just to avoid
this kind of dangerous regional division.
So far there is a serious division in the polity that
can be a precursor to disintegration. So it's then
too early for congratulations but continuation of
fervent prayers.
We only thank Allah He alone for averting the
unnecessary anticipated post election blood shed
of Nigerians. In a nation of about 70m eligible
voters, with a meager 2.5m votes difference, the
danger can be visualized. These hundred over
zealous youth that killed themselves celebrating
GMB's victory would have attacked and killed
thousands innocent people should perchance GEJ
also won.
We therefore pray for all to embrace one another
and form a broad based government of national
unity from all parties and regions equally
represented.
God we are grateful! May You guide our leaders
aright. Amin

Politics / Another Analysis For Remaining States. .. 4 Tannoids by RealYaks: 8:00am On Mar 31, 2015
We've seen all the result even before INEC starts
confirming them all. We are aware that all states
have released their results to their party agents
before going to Abuja for official announcement to
the public.
Here are the states won by GMB and GEJ which
are yet to be released.
GMB Won in the following states:
KEBI, SOKOTO, ZAMFARA, BENUE, ADAMAWA,
LAGOS, GOMBE, BORNO and BENUE.
Bauchi:
APC: 931,598
PDP: 86,085
A
BENUE:
APC: 373,961
PDP: 303,767
SOKOTO:
APC: 671,926
PDP: 151,199
NIGER:
APC 650,000
PDP 148,000
LAGOS:
APC: 763,234
PDP: 652,431
While GEJ won in the following states:
EDO, CROSS RIVER, DELTA, BAYELSA, TARABA, EBONYI &
RIVERS.
The margin GMB garner from the unconfirmed
Nine states so far is over over 4 millions votes.
Add this to the 2.0m of yesterday = 6.0m.
Are PDP fans saying GEJ will fetch over 6m votes
from this six states which don't have much
population to nullify GMB votes?
Some people need to wake up from self
delusions. GMB is our new president.
Already GMB got over 25% votes in more than 24
states.

How APC will WIN the Presidential Election. SS/SE
will not be relevant to the winning equation.
GMB /APC will get the required 24 states:
Win in 21 states - Ondo, Oyo, Ogun, Osun,
Lagos, Niger, Kogi, Kwara, Adamawa, Bauchi,
Gombe, borno, Jigawa, kaduna, Kano, Katsina,
Kebbi, Sokoto, Yobe, Zamfara and FCT
25% or more in 6 states - Edo, Ekiti, Benue,
Nassarawa, Plateau, Taraba.
Total is 27 states already. So, minus all the
remaining SS/SE states GMB will win at the
first ballot.
