Welterweight Robert Guerrero, who won world titles in two weight classes and fought some of the biggest names in boxing during his 16-year professional career, announced his retirement from the ring on Monday.

Guerrero's announcement came two days after he suffered the first knockout loss of his career, an incredibly one-sided, third-round stoppage to former lightweight world titleholder Omar Figueroa Jr. in the main event of a Fox-televised Premier Boxing Champions card on Saturday night at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York.

Early career

Guerrero is trained by his father Ruben Guerrero, a former amateur champion, who introduced Robert and his five brothers to boxing as youngsters growing up in Gilroy, California. After an impressive amateur career begun at a very young age, Robert turned professional, at the age of 18, on May 22, 2001 with a four-round unanimous decision win against
Alejandro Cruz . After several wins and only a single draw later, Guerrero won the WBC NABF Featherweight title against Cesar Figueroa on December 9, 2004. Defending his NABF title twice, Guerrero was seen as a rising prospect, until meeting Gamaliel Diaz in a bout televised on ShoBox , on the Showtime channel, on December 12, 2005. An aggressive Diaz upset Guerrero, winning by split decision and taking the NABF belt in the process.

Guerrero rebounded from his first loss by defeating Sandros Marcos via third-round technical knock-out, setting up a rematch against Diaz, again on Showtime. Guerrero knocked down Diaz in the first round, and eventually knocking out Diaz early in the sixth round. The win set him up to face IBF champion Eric Aiken.

Barca missed out on La Liga last season to Real Madrid and were knocked out of the Champions League by Juventus in the quarterfinals, leading t plenty of debate about the direction in which the club are heading.

However, from his vantage point as Manchester City coach, Guardiola doesn't think his former sid have anything to worry about in the immediate future with Messi still at the peak of his powers.

Pep Guardiola Story In Barcelona

Born in Santpedor , Barcelona , Catalonia , Guardiola joined La Masia at the age of 13 and rose through the ranks at the youth academy of Barcelona for six years, making his début in 1990 against Cádiz . As Phil Ball writes in Morbo ,
Johan Cruyff utilised the young midfielder in the absence of the suspended Guillermo Amor. He became a first team regular in the 1991–92 season and at only 20 years old, he was a key component of a side that won La Liga and the
European Cup . The prestigious Italian magazine
Guerin Sportivo heralded Guardiola as the finest player in the world under the age of 21. Cruyff's "Dream Team" went on to retain La Liga title in the 1992–93 and 1993–94 seasons . The side was strengthened by the recent signing of
Romário , again reached the 1994 UEFA Champions League Final , but were beaten 4–0 by Fabio Capello 's Milan side in Athens . Cruyff left in 1996, with Barcelona finishing fourth in the 1994–95 season and third in the 1995–96 season , but Guardiola retained his position at the centre of Barça's midfield.

In the 1996–97 season , Barcelona, this time led by Bobby Robson , won three cups, the Copa del Rey , the Supercopa de España , and the
European Cup Winners' Cup . Much of the Dream Team had by this time left, with new signings such as Luís Figo and Ronaldo taking over from
Hristo Stoichkov and Michael Laudrup . In 1997, Guardiola was named as Barcelona captain under new manager Louis van Gaal , but a calf muscle injury ruled Guardiola out of most of the
1997–98 season , in which Barcelona won a
league and cup double . At the end of the season, Barcelona rejected offers from Roma and Parma (of around 300 million pesetas ) for Guardiola. After prolonged and complicated contract talks, Guardiola signed a new contract with the Catalan club which extended his stay until 2001.

Guardiola returned to action the following season and Barcelona once again won La Liga , thanks largely to the performances of Rivaldo and Luís Figo. On 8 June 1998, Guardiola underwent surgery to try to solve once and for all the problems that he was experiencing with his calf which had led to him missing the 1998 FIFA World Cup for Spain. A largely disappointing 1999–2000 season ended once again in surgery as Guardiola missed the last three months of the season due to a serious
ankle injury. Barcelona didn't win any silverware during the 2000–01 season and finished fourth place in the league , but qualifying for the
Champions League.

Floyd Mayweather Fighting History or Story

Mayweather was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan , on February 24, 1977, into a family of
boxers . His father, Floyd Mayweather Sr. , was a former welterweight contender who fought Hall of Famer Sugar Ray Leonard . His uncles ( Jeff Mayweather and Roger Mayweather ) were professional boxers, with Roger – Floyd's former trainer – winning two world championships, fought Hall of Famers Julio César Chávez , Pernell Whitaker and Kostya Tszyu . Mayweather was born with his mother's last name, but his last name would change to Mayweather shortly thereafter. Mayweather attended Ottawa Hills High School before he dropped out.
Boxing has been a part of Mayweather's life since his childhood and he never seriously considered any other profession. "I think my grandmother saw my potential first," Mayweather said. "When I was young, I told her 'I think I should get a job.' She said, 'No, just keep boxing'." "When I was about eight or nine, I lived in New Jersey with my mother and we were seven deep in one bedroom and sometimes we didn't have electricity." Mayweather said. "When people see what I have now, they have no idea of where I came from and how I didn't have anything growing up."

It was not uncommon for young Mayweather to come home from school and find used heroin needles in his front yard. His mother was
addicted to drugs , and he had an aunt who died from AIDS because of her drug use. "People don't know the hell I've been through," he says.

The most time that his father spent with him was taking him to the gym to train and work on his boxing, according to Mayweather. "I don't remember him ever taking me anywhere or doing anything that a father would do with a son, going to the park or to the movies or to get ice cream," he says. "I always thought that he liked his daughter (Floyd's older sister) better than he liked me because she never got whippings and I got whippings all the time."

Mayweather's father contends that Floyd is not telling the truth about their early relationship. "Even though his daddy did sell drugs, I didn't deprive my son," the elder Mayweather says. "The drugs I sold, he was a part of it. He had plenty of food. He had the best clothes and I gave him money. He didn't want for anything. Anybody in Grand Rapids can tell you that I took care of my kids". Floyd senior says he did all of his hustling at night and spent his days with his son, taking him to the gym and training him to be a boxer. "If it wasn't for me he wouldn't be where he is today," he maintains.

English Premier League History

Despite significant European success in the 1970s and early 1980s, the late '80s marked a low point for English football. Stadiums were crumbling, supporters endured poor facilities,
hooliganism was rife, and English clubs were banned from European competition for five years following the Heysel Stadium disaster in 1985. The Football League First Division, the top level of English football since 1888, was behind leagues such as Italy's Serie A and Spain's La Liga in attendances and revenues, and several top English players had moved abroad.
By the turn of the 1990s the downward trend was starting to reverse: at the 1990 FIFA World Cup , England reached the semi-finals; UEFA, European football's governing body, lifted the five-year ban on English clubs playing in European competitions in 1990, resulting in Manchester United lifting the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1991, and the Taylor Report on stadium safety standards, which proposed expensive upgrades to create all-seater stadiums in the aftermath of the Hillsborough disaster, was published in January of that year.

Revenue from television also became more important: the Football League received £6.3 million for a two-year agreement in 1986, but when that deal was renewed in 1988, the price rose to £44 million over four years. The 1988 negotiations were the first signs of a breakaway league: ten clubs threatened to leave and form a "super league", but were eventually persuaded to stay. As stadiums improved and match attendance and revenues rose, the country's top teams again considered leaving the Football League in order to capitalise on the influx of money into the sport.

Foundation

At the close of the 1991 season, a proposal was tabled for the establishment of a new league that would bring more money into the game overall. The Founder Members Agreement, signed on 17 July 1991 by the game's top-flight clubs, established the basic principles for setting up the FA Premier League. The newly formed top division would have commercial independence from The Football Association and the Football League, giving the FA Premier League licence to negotiate its own broadcast and sponsorship agreements. The argument given at the time was that the extra income would allow English clubs to compete with teams across Europe.
The managing director of London Weekend Television (LWT), Greg Dyke, met with the representatives of the "big five" football clubs in England in 1990. The meeting was to pave the way for a break away from The Football League. Dyke believed that it would be more lucrative for LWT if only the larger clubs in the country were featured on national television and wanted to establish whether the clubs would be interested in a larger share of television rights money. The five clubs decided it was a good idea and decided to press ahead with it; however, the league would have no credibility without the backing of The Football Association and so David Dein of Arsenal held talks to see whether the FA were receptive to the idea. The FA did not enjoy an amicable relationship with the Football League at the time and considered it as a way to weaken the Football League's position.

Lionel Messi The Story

Born and raised in central Argentina, Messi was diagnosed with a growth hormone deficiency as a child. At age 13, he relocated to Spain to join Barcelona, who agreed to pay for his medical treatment. After a fast progression through Barcelona's youth academy, Messi made his competitive debut aged 17 in October 2004. Despite being injury-prone during his early career, he established himself as an integral player for the club within the next three years, finishing 2007 as a finalist for both the Ballon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year award, a feat he repeated the following year. His first uninterrupted campaign came in the 2008–09 season, during which he helped Barcelona achieve the first treble in Spanish football. At 22 years old, Messi won the Ballon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year award by record voting margins.

Three successful seasons followed, with Messi winning three consecutive FIFA Ballons d'Or, including an unprecedented fourth. His personal best campaign statistically to date was the 2011–12 season, in which he set the La Liga and European records for most goals scored in a single season, while establishing himself as
Barcelona's all-time top scorer in official competitions in March 2012. He again struggled with injury during the following two seasons, twice finishing second for the Ballon d'Or behind Cristiano Ronaldo, his perceived career rival . Messi regained his best form during the 2014–15 campaign, breaking the all-time goalscoring records in both La Liga and the

Lionel Messi's Story

Messi regained his best form during the 2014–15 campaign, breaking the all-time goalscoring records in both La Liga and the
Champions League in November 2014, [note 3] and led Barcelona to a historic second treble.
An Argentine international, Messi is his country's all-time leading goalscorer . At youth level, he won the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship, finishing the tournament with both the Golden Ball and Golden Shoe , and an

Introduced in 1992, the competition replaced the European Champion Clubs' Cup , or simply
European Cup , which had run since 1955, adding a group stage to the competition and allowing multiple entrants from certain countries. The pre-1992 competition was initially a straight knockout tournament open only to the champion club of each country. During the 1990s, the format was expanded, incorporating a round-robin group stage to include clubs that finished runner-up of some nations' top-level league.

While most of Europe's national leagues can still only enter their national league champion, Europe's strongest national leagues now provide up to four teams for the competition, and will provide up to five teams from the 2015–16 season onwards. Clubs that finish next-in-line in each nation's top level league, having not qualified for the UEFA Champions League competition, may be eligible for the next level
UEFA Europa League competition.

In its present format, the UEFA Champions League begins in mid-July with three knockout qualifying rounds and a play-off round. The 10 surviving teams enter the group stage, joining 22 other teams qualified in advance. The 32 teams are drawn into eight groups of four teams and play each other in a double round-robin system .

The eight group winners and eight runners-up proceed to the knockout phase that culminates with the final match in May. The winner of the UEFA Champions League qualifies for the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.

FA Cup History

The FA Cup , known officially as The Football Association Challenge Cup , is an annual
knockout association football competition in men's domestic English football . First played during the 1871–72 season , it is the oldest association football competition in the world. It is organised by and named after The Football Association (The FA). For sponsorship reasons, from 2015 through to 2018 it is also known as
The Emirates FA Cup . A concurrent women's tournament is also held, the FA Women's Cup .

The competition is open to any eligible club down to Level 10 of the English football league system – all 92 professional clubs in the
Premier League (Level 1) and the English Football League (Levels 2 to 4), and several hundred "non-league" teams in Steps 1 to 6 of the National League System (Levels 5 to 10). A record 763 clubs competed in 2011–12 . The tournament consists of 12 randomly drawn rounds followed by the semi-finals and the final.

Entrants are not seeded, although a system of
byes based on league level ensures higher ranked teams enter in later rounds – the minimum number of games needed to win the competition ranges from six to fourteen.

The first six rounds are the Qualifying Competition, from which 32 teams progress to the first round of the Competition Proper, meeting the first of the 92 professional teams from Leagues One and Two . The last entrants are the Premier League and Championship clubs, into the draw for the Third Round Proper. In the modern era, only one non-league team has ever reached the quarter finals, and teams below Level 2 have never reached the final. As a result, as well as who wins, significant focus is given to those " minnows " (smaller teams) who progress furthest, especially if they achieve an unlikely "giant-killing" victory.

The Europa League ( Wikipedia)

The UEFA Europa League, previously called the
UEFA Cup , is an annual football club competition organised by UEFA since 1971 for eligible European football clubs. Clubs qualify for the competition based on their performance in their national leagues and cup competitions.
Previously called the UEFA Cup , the competition has been known as the UEFA Europa League since the 2009–10 season , following a change in format. For UEFA footballing records purposes, the UEFA Cup and UEFA Europa League are considered the same competition, with the change of name being simply a rebranding.

In 1999 , the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup was abolished and merged with the UEFA Cup. [5] For the 2004–05 competition a group stage was added prior to the knockout phase. The 2009 re-branding included a merge with the
UEFA Intertoto Cup , producing an enlarged competition format, with an expanded group stage and changed qualifying criteria. The winner of the UEFA Europa League qualifies for the UEFA Super Cup , and from the 2014–15 season onwards the winner of the UEFA Europa League also qualifies for the next edition of the
UEFA Champions League. The winner enters at least at the play-off round (assuming they do not already qualify through domestic performance), and will enter the group stage if the berth reserved for the Champions League title holders is not used.

The title has been won by 27 different clubs, 12 of which have won the title more than once. The
most successful club in the competition and the current champions are Sevilla with five titles after defeating Liverpool in the final to win the
2015–16 UEFA Europa League , thus taking their third straight title and extending their current record of titles.

MTV History

MTV (originally an initialism of Music Television ) is an American cable and satellite television channel owned by Viacom Media Networks (a division of Viacom ) and headquartered in New York City . Launched on August 1, 1981, the channel originally aired
music videos as guided by television personalities known as " video jockeys " (VJs). In its early years, MTV's main target demographic was young adults, but today it is primarily towards teenagers, particularly high school and college students. MTV has toned down its music video programming significantly in recent years, and its programming now consists mainly of original reality , comedy and drama programming and some off-network syndicated programs and films, with limited music video programming in off-peak time periods. It has received criticism towards this change of focus, both by certain segments of its audience and musicians. MTV's influence on its audience, including issues involving
censorship and social activism, has also been a subject of debate for several years.

In recent years, MTV had struggled with the secular decline of music-related cable media. Its ratings had been said to be failing systematically, as younger viewers increasingly shift towards digital media, with yearly ratings drops as high as 29%; thus there was doubt of the lasting relevance of MTV towards young audiences

The competition formed as the FA Premier League on 20 February 1992 following the decision of clubs in the Football League First Division to break away from the Football League, which was founded in 1888, and take advantage of a lucrative television rights deal. The deal was worth £1 billion a year domestically as of 2013–14, with BSkyB and BT Group securing the domestic rights to broadcast 116 and 38 games respectively. The league generates €2.2 billion per year in domestic and international television rights. In 2014/15, teams were apportioned revenues of £1.6 billion

The team has played its home matches in the 81,044-capacity Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in downtown Madrid since 1947. The club was estimated to be worth €3.24 billion ($3.65 billion) in 2015, and in the 2014–15 season it was the world's highest-earning football club, with an annual revenue of €577 million. Athletic Bilbao and Barcelona . The club holds many long-standing rivalries, most notably El Clásico with Barcelona and the El Derbi madrileño with Atlético Madrid .

Real Madrid established itself as a major force in both Spanish and European football during the 1950s, winning five consecutive European Cups and reaching the final seven times. This success was replicated in the league, where the club won five times in the space of seven years. This team, which consisted of players such as
Alfredo Di Stéfano , Ferenc Puskás , Francisco Gento and Raymond Kopa, is considered by some in the sport to be the greatest team of all time.

Juventus History

Juventus were founded as Sport-Club Juventus in late 1897 by pupils from the Massimo D'Azeglio Lyceum school in Turin, but were renamed as Foot-Ball Club Juventus two years later. The club joined the Italian Football Championship during 1900. In 1904, the businessman Ajmone-Marsan revived the finances of the football club Juventus, making it also possible to transfer the training field from Piazza d'Armi to the more appropriate Velodrome Umberto I. During this period, the team wore a pink and black kit. Juventus first won the league championship in 1905 while playing at their Velodrome Umberto I ground. By this time the club colours had changed to black and white stripes, inspired by English side
Notts County .

There was a split at the club in 1906, after some of the staff considered moving Juve out of Turin. President Alfred Dick was unhappy with this and left with some prominent players to found FBC Torino which in turn spawned the Derby della Mole . Juventus spent much of this period steadily rebuilding after the split, surviving the First World War.

FIAT owner Edoardo Agnelli gained control of the club in 1923 and built a new stadium. This helped the club to its second scudetto (league championship) in the 1925–26 season, after beating Alba Roma with an aggregate score of 12–1 ( Antonio Vojak 's goals were essential that season). The club established itself as a major force in Italian football since the 1930s, becoming the country's first professional club and the first with a decentralised fan base, which led it to win a record of five consecutive Italian championships (the first four under the management of Carlo Carcano ) and form the core of the Italy national team during the
Vittorio Pozzo 's era, including the 1934 world champion squad , with star players such as
Raimundo Orsi , Luigi Bertolini, Giovanni Ferrari and Luis Monti amongst others.

Billboard Charts History

Prior to 1955, Billboard did not have a unified, all-encompassing popularity chart, instead measuring songs by individual metrics. At the start of the rock era in 1955, three such charts existed:
Best Sellers in Stores was the first Billboard chart, established in 1936. This chart ranked the biggest selling singles in retail stores, as reported by merchants surveyed throughout the country (20 to 50 positions).
Most Played by Jockeys was Billboard's original airplay chart. It ranked the most played songs on United States radio stations, as reported by radio disc jockeys and radio stations (20 to 25 positions).

Most Played in Jukeboxes ranked the most played songs in jukeboxes across the United States (20 positions). This was one of the main outlets of measuring song popularity with the younger generation of music listeners, as many radio stations resisted adding rock and roll music to their playlists for many years.

Although officially all three charts had equal "weight" in terms of their importance, many chart historians refer to the Best Sellers in Stores chart when referencing a song's performance prior to the creation of the Hot 100; until the start of the rock era in 1955, radio was still in its
Golden Age and centered around spoken-word programs instead of music radio, and physical record sales were still the dominant indicator of a recording's popularity. On the week ending November 12, 1955, Billboard published

The Top 100 for the first time. The Top 100 combined all aspects of a single's performance (sales, airplay and jukebox activity), based on a point system that typically gave sales (purchases) more weight than radio airplay. The
Best Sellers In Stores , Most Played by Jockeys and Most Played in Jukeboxes charts continued to be published concurrently with the new Top 100 chart.

Charles attended Winneba Secondary School and during that time he was known as 'Ayoz'. He changed his name to "Bandana" after senior high school and released the track "Bandana from Ghana". The song made tremendous air waves in the Ghanaian music industry in 2004. After the release of his first album titled Bandana from Ghana , Bandana went into a musical hiatus until he re-branded himself to Shatta Wale and released his song "Dancehall King" in 2013, which became a hit. He is the leader, chief executive officer (CEO) and founder of the Shatta Movement (SM) or (SM4LYF).

Shatta Wale's rise happened at the 2013 VGMAs, with his musical dexterity, he composed a song against the organisers of the Ghana Music Awards titled Me Need No Awards because he alleged the organisers robbed him off the Dancehall Artiste of the Year to female Dancehall Artiste Kaakie . The song had very uncharitable lyrics. This the media, bloggers and other entertainment pundits claim led to his breakthrough and relevance in the Ghana Music Industry.

His greatest hit in 2013, "Dancehall King" took the airwaves by surprise. Shatta Wale's musical revenue is mostly generated through hosting of shows which attracts most thousands of Ghanaian youths.

In January 2014, Shatta Wale, joined hundreds of Ghanaians to welcome the Queen's Baton Relay, which was on tour of some Commonwealth countries, ahead of the games in August 2014. Grateful for the opportunity given him, he took to social media to thank those who made it happen.
"It happens once in a life time..I will like to thank the president of Ghana and the nation for granting me the opportunity to be part of the change in the queens Baton..God bless my homeland Ghana.#SM4LYF."

In May 2014, British Newspaper, The Guardian , reported Wale's song "Wine Ya Waist" featuring
Davido from Nigeria was one of five "must-listen to" songs. That same year, his song "You Can't Touch Me" was widely used for the Dancers Against Racism Campaign Worldwide.

Manchester City History

City gained their first honours by winning the Second Division in 1899; with it came promotion to the highest level in English football, the First Division. They went on to claim their first major honour on 23 April 1904, beating Bolton Wanderers 1–0 at Crystal Palace to win the FA Cup ; City narrowly missed out on a League and Cup double that season after finishing runners-up in the League but City became the first club in Manchester to win a major honour. In the seasons following the
FA Cup triumph, the club was dogged by allegations of financial irregularities, culminating in the suspension of seventeen players in 1906, including captain Billy Meredith, who subsequently moved across town to
Manchester United. A fire at Hyde Road destroyed the main stand in 1920, and in 1923 the club moved to their new purpose-built stadium at Maine Road in Moss Side .
The Manchester City team which
won the FA Cup in 1904

In the 1930s, Manchester City reached two consecutive FA Cup finals, losing to Everton in 1933, before claiming the Cup by beating
Portsmouth in 1934. [9] During the 1934 cup run, Manchester City broke the record for the
highest home attendance of any club in English football history , as 84,569 fans packed Maine Road for a sixth round FA Cup tie against Stoke City in 1934 – a record which still stands to this day. The club won the First Division title for the first time in 1937, but were relegated the following season, despite scoring more goals than any other team in the division. Twenty years later, a City team inspired by a tactical system known as the Revie Plan reached consecutive FA Cup finals again, in 1955 and 1956; just as in the 1930s, they lost the first one, to Newcastle United, and won the second. The 1956 final , in which Manchester City beat
Birmingham City 3–1, is one of the most famous finals of all-time, and is remembered for City goalkeeper Bert Trautmann continuing to play on after unknowingly breaking his neck.

After relegation to the Second Division in 1963, the future looked bleak with a record low home attendance of 8,015 against Swindon Town in January 1965. In the summer of 1965, the management team of Joe Mercer and Malcolm Allison was appointed. In the first season under Mercer, City won the Second Division title and made important signings in Mike Summerbee and Colin Bell. Two seasons later, in 1967–68 , Manchester City claimed the League

Championship for the second time, clinching the title on the final day of the season with a 4–3 win at Newcastle United and beating their close neighbours Manchester United into second place. Further trophies followed: City won the FA Cup in 1969 , before achieving European success by winning the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1970, beating Górnik Zabrze 2–1 in
Vienna . City also won the League Cup that season, becoming the second English team to win a European trophy and a domestic trophy in the same season.

UEFA Champions League History

The UEFA Champions League is an annual continental club football competition organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and contested by top-division European clubs . It is one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world and the most prestigious club competition in European football, played by the national league champion (and, for some nations, one or more runners-up) of each UEFA national association. The UEFA Champions League final is the most watched annual sporting event worldwide. The final of the 2012–13 tournament had the highest TV ratings to date, drawing 360 million television viewers.

The winner of the UEFA Champions League qualifies for the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup

Everton History

Formed in 1878, Everton were founding members of The Football League in 1888 and won their first League Championship two seasons later . Following four League Championship and two FA Cup wins, Everton experienced a lull in the immediate post World War Two period, until a revival in the 1960s, which saw the club win two League Championships and an FA Cup. The mid-1980s represented their most recent period of sustained success, with two League Championships, an FA Cup, and the 1985 European Cup Winners' Cup . The club's most recent major trophy was the 1995 FA Cup.

The club's supporters are known as
Evertonians . Everton have a rivalry with neighbours Liverpool, and the two sides contest the Merseyside derby . The club have been based at Goodison Park in Walton, Liverpool , since 1892, after moving from Anfield following a row over its rent. The club's home colours are royal blue shirts with white shorts and socks.

It was not until 1927 that Everton's first sustained period of success began. In 1925 the club signed Dixie Dean from Tranmere Rovers . In 1927–28 , Dean set the record for top-flight league goals in a single season with 60 goals in 39 league games, which is a record that still stands. He helped Everton win their third League Championship that season. However, Everton were relegated to the Second Division two years later during internal turmoil at the club. The club quickly rebounded and was promoted at the first attempt, while scoring a record number of goals in the Second Division. On return to the top flight in 1931–32 , Everton wasted no time in reaffirming their status and won a fourth League Championship at the first opportunity. Everton also won their second FA Cup in 1933 with a 3–0 win against
Manchester City in the final. The era ended in
1938–39 with a fifth League Championship.
