The Blues Music Awards are awards presented by the Blues Foundation , a non-profit organization set up to foster blues heritage. The awards, started in 1980, are according to
Offbeat music magazine "universally recognized as the highest accolade afforded musicians and songwriters in blues music."

The awards were formerly known as the W. C. Handy Awards (or "The Handys" but were renamed in 2006 in an effort to increase public appreciation of the significance of the awards.

The awards had been presented annually in
Memphis, Tennessee , where the Blues Foundation is located, although the 2008 award ceremony was held in Tunica, Mississippi . The 35th Blues Music Awards were held on May 8, 2014, at the Cook Convention Center in Memphis. The 36th Blues Music Awards were held on May 7, 2015.

Ice Prince

Ice Prince was born Panshak Henri Zamani in the city of Minna , Niger State , Nigeria. At age two, he moved with his family to the mining city of Jos , Plateau State, Nigeria. While residing in Jos, he attended St. Murumba College. He also attended the Science Tutorial College in Jos.
In 1999, he began writing Rap songs and started performing them at social events held at his school. It was not until 2001 that he began going to studios to record. In 2002, he got together with a couple of friends and formed a group called the "Ecomog Squad". They had few performances as a group and split a year later. In 2004, he connected with M.I , Jesse Jagz, Ruby, Lindsey, Eve, Taz, and together they became what is now known today as the "Loopy Crew". During an interview with Adeola Adeyemo, Ice Prince was asked to summarise his story. He said "I started out in Jos in a group called ECOMOG squad. We used to rap and sing together. The group split up after a few years and after that, I joined the choir in my church and started singing Tenor. That was about the time MI moved back to Nigeria and we became friends, we became family, we started living together, started making music together. I had a song that made it to Number 1 in Jos, that was when I started getting more attention. Then I got admitted into University of Jos to study Zoology but then I couldn't really continue because of some financial constraint at the time." Ice Prince also opened up about the passing of his parents and the challenges he faced early on.

INTRODUCTION TO ROBOTS

A robot is a machine —especially one programmable by a computer —capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically. Robots can be guided by an external control device or the control may be embedded within. Robots may be constructed to take on human form but most robots are machines designed to perform a task with no regard to how they look.

The branch of technology that deals with the design, construction, operation, and application of robots, as well as computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and information processing is robotics. These technologies deal with automated machines that can take the place of humans in dangerous environments or

Wladimir Klitschko The Boxing Story

As an amateur , Klitschko represented Ukraine at the 1996 Olympics , winning a gold medal in the
super-heavyweight division. After turning professional later that year, he defeated Chris Byrd in 2000 to win the WBO heavyweight title. Klitschko's first reign as champion ended in an upset knockout loss to Corrie Sanders in 2003, which was followed by another knockout loss to
Lamon Brewster in 2004. It was during this time that Klitschko hired Emanuel Steward as his trainer, which began an eight-year partnership that lasted until Steward's death in 2012. In particular, Steward was credited with Klitschko's transition from an aggressive puncher to a more defensively-oriented boxer, much as he had done with Lennox Lewis in 1995 to 2003.

The World Masters Games is an international
multi-sport event held every four years which, in terms of competitor numbers, has developed into the largest of its kind.
Governed by the International Masters Games Association ,the World Masters Games is open to sports people of all abilities and most ages – the minimum age criterion ranges between 25 and 35 years depending on the sport – with Auckland , New Zealand scheduled to host the major event's ninth edition from 21 to 30 April 2017.

HISTORY OF CAMERAS

A camera is an optical instrument for recording or capturing images , which may be stored locally, transmitted to another location, or both. The images may be individual still photographs or sequences of images constituting videos or
movies . The camera is a remote sensing device as it senses subjects without physical contact. The word camera comes from camera obscura , which means "dark chamber" and is the Latin name of the original device for projecting an image of external reality onto a flat surface. The modern photographic camera evolved from the camera obscura. The functioning of the camera is very similar to the functioning of the human eye .

A camera may work with the light of the visible spectrum or with other portions of the

Crystal Palace Football Club is a professional

Anthony Joshua , MBE (born 15 October 1989) is a British professional boxer . He has held the IBF heavyweight title since 2016, having previously held the British and
Commonwealth heavyweight titles from 2015 to 2016. As an amateur he represented Britain at the 2012 Olympics , winning a gold medal in the
super-heavyweight division; he also represented England at the 2011 World Championships , winning silver. As of February 2017, Joshua is ranked as the world's best heavyweight by
BoxRec , second by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, and fifth best by The Ring magazine. He also boasts a 100% knockout -to-win ratio.
Joshua is the second British boxer, after James DeGale , to win both a gold medal at the Olympics and a world title by a major professional sanctioning body, as well as being the first British heavyweight to do so. He is also the second boxer, after Joe Frazier, to win a world heavyweight title whilst still reigning as Olympic champion at the top weight.


Early life

Joshua was born in Watford to Nigerian -born parents. His cousin is fellow unbeaten professional boxer Ben lleyemi. The pair made their professional debuts together in 2013.
Joshua grew up for some of his early years in Nigeria and returned to the UK halfway through
Year Seven to join Kings Langley Secondary School . Growing up on the Meriden Estate in
Garston, Hertfordshire, Joshua was called 'Femi' by his friends and former teachers, due to his middle name 'Oluwafemi'. He excelled at football and athletics and broke the Year Nine 100m record with a time of 11.6 seconds.

Amateur career

A late starter in the sport, Joshua only began boxing in 2007, aged 18, when his cousin suggested he take it up. His club, Finchley ABC in Barnet , North London, is also home to professional heavyweight Dereck Chisora . Joshua won the 2009 and 2010 Haringey Box Cup. Joshua won the senior ABA Championships in 2010, in only his 18th bout, and later turned down £50,000 to turn professional. "Turning down that £50,000 was easy. I didn't take up the sport for money, I want to win medals." He also went on to win the same tournament the following year.

In 2010 his domestic success earned him a place on the GB Boxing team and later the same year he became British amateur champion at the GB Amateur Boxing Championships after defeating Amin Isa. In June 2011 at the 2011 European Amateur Boxing Championships he beat Eric Berechlin and Cathal McMonagle but was stopped by aggressive Romanian southpaw Mihai Nistor after receiving several standing counts. In October 2011 he was named Amateur Boxer of the Year by the Boxing Writers Club of Great Britain.

Chelsea Football Club History

In 1904, Gus Mears acquired the Stamford Bridge athletics stadium with the aim of turning it into a football ground. An offer to lease it to nearby Fulham was turned down, so Mears opted to found his own club to use the stadium. As there was already a team named Fulham in the borough, the name of the adjacent borough of Chelsea was chosen for the new club; names like Kensington FC , Stamford Bridge FC and
London FC were also considered. Chelsea were founded on 10 March 1905 at The Rising Sun pub (now The Butcher's Hook), opposite the present-day main entrance to the ground on Fulham Road , and were elected to the Football League shortly afterwards.

The club won promotion to the First Division in their second season, and yo-yoed between the First and Second Divisions in their early years. They reached the 1915 FA Cup Final , where they lost to Sheffield United at Old Trafford, and finished third in the First Division in 1920, the club's best league campaign to that point. Chelsea attracted large crowds and had a reputation for signing big-name players, but success continued to elude the club in the inter-war years.

Former Arsenal and England centre-forward Ted Drake became manager in 1952 and proceeded to modernise the club. He removed the club's
Chelsea pensioner crest, improved the youth set-up and training regime, rebuilt the side with shrewd signings from the lower divisions and amateur leagues, and led Chelsea to their first major trophy success – the League championship – in 1954–55 . Manchester City History

Manchester City Football Club is a football club in Manchester, England. Founded in 1880 as St. Mark's , they became Ardwick Association Football Club in 1887 and
Manchester City in 1894. The club moved to the
City of Manchester Stadium in 2003, having played at Maine Road since 1923.

The club's most successful period was in the late 1960s and early 1970s when they won the

A beauty pageant or beauty contest is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants, although some contests have evolved to also incorporate personality traits, intelligence, talent, and answers to judges' questions as judged criteria. AS MONACO HISTORY

AS Monaco FC was founded on 1 August 1919 as a unification of numerous local clubs based in France and the principality . Reminisce His Story

Reminisce (Alaga Ibile) is a Nigerian household name, a musical icon amongst today’s youth, and an internationally recognized artiste. Reminisce is a versatile (singer, rapper and a songwriter) Nigerian artiste from Ajilete, Yewa South LGA in Ogun state, western part of Nigeria. He was born on the 26th of January, in Kaduna state in Northern Nigeria . In school he listened to various genres of local and foreign music, and performed in school activities. Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound. The 2017 awards were based on the reporting period of March 18, 2016 through March 16, 2017. Awards are given for the top album/artist/single in different genres.

From 1989 to 2006, the show had the same categories and category names every year. In 2011, for the first time, all of the awards were renamed to "Top [award title]". The "of the year" portion of each category title no longer exists, and many of the awards have been further renamed. Other awards, including both "crossover" awards (No. 1 Classical Crossover Artist and No. 1 Classical Crossover Album) were discontinued. Since 2011, the nominees have had five nominees.

CDQ Biography

CDQ real/full name is Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf , he was born on May 6, 1985 and hails from Kwara State. He is a Nigerian rapper signed to General records owned by The beat maker Masterkraft.

Interview with dailymail " How did you come about the name CDQ?
When I was in secondary school, I was one of the social directors then and I was so familiar and close to the Abokis so they said every artiste do have a stage name, so let’s create one for you.

My name CDQ was carved out from my name Sodiq and along the line when I met Banky W, because he happened to be the patron in the music industry, so he gave full meaning of the name. He said when you go to the market to purchase a CD in the olden days and the music in the CD is good, you will say the CD is quality. So CDQ also means CD quality at the same time.
He got into music in 2002 and that was when he did his debut concert in school with alot of stars in attendance including the like of late Baracko grin also Dagrin , Jesse Jagz, M.I, Dj Jimmy Jatt and Wizkid . The concert was a huge success and from that point people began to know him in his school and around his neighborhood.
CDQ won a rap battle at the famous industry night show on December,2012 at the Oriental Hotel , in Lagos .


That was where he got attention from the general public as there were huge and loudest audience present at the event,
CDQ officially became a role model to many rap lovers in Nigeria . Just few months after inking his name in the Nigerian book of gifted rappers , he caught the attention of Mastercraft and he was signed to his Record Label ‘General records’ and since that high point of his life he has done alot of songs and as well features alot of stars including Wizkid , M.I and many more.

CDQ released his debut single at ‘General records’ titled “ SUALA” just few days after being signed to the label . The Song was also produced by his mentor Masterkraft and it was massively accepted while it also enjoyed constant airplay on radio and tv stations .

Manchester United History

Manchester United was formed in 1878 as Newton Heath LYR Football Club by the Carriage and Wagon department of the
Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway (LYR) depot at Newton Heath . The team initially played games against other departments and railway companies, but on 20 November 1880, they competed in their first recorded match; wearing the colours of the railway company – green and gold – they were defeated 6–0 by Bolton Wanderers ' reserve team. By 1888, the club had become a founding member of The Combination , a regional football league. Following the league's dissolution after only one season, Newton Heath joined the newly formed
Football Alliance , which ran for three seasons before being merged with the Football League.

This resulted in the club starting the 1892–93 season in the First Division, by which time it had become independent of the railway company and dropped the "LYR" from its name. After two seasons, the club was relegated to the Second Division.

Under Ernest Mangnall , who assumed managerial duties in 1903, the team finished as Second Division runners-up in 1906 and secured promotion to the First Division, which they won in 1908 – the club's first league title. Founded as Sporting Club Anderlechtois on 27 May 1908 by a dozen football lovers at the Concordia café (located in the Rue d'Aumale/Aumalestraat in the municipality of Anderlecht), the club beat Institut Saint-Georges in their first match by 11–8. They joined the official competition in 1909–10 , starting at the lowest level in the Belgian football league system , then the third provincial division. In 1912–13 , they gained promotion to the second-higher level of football, then named the Promotion . With Jef Mermans, a striker signed from K Tubantia FC in 1942 for a record fee of 125,000 Belgian francs, Anderlecht won their first league title in 1947. Anderlecht played in the first European Champion Clubs' Cup in 1955–56 , and lost both legs of their tie against Vörös Lobogo . They had to wait until the 1962–63 season to win their first European tie, with a 1–0 victory over Real Madrid , which followed a 3–3 draw in Spain. For the first time, they advanced to the second round, where they beat CSKA Sofia before losing to Dundee in the quarter-finals. The 1982–83 season was a noteworthy season for the club for numerous reasons: former Anderlecht favourite Paul Van Himst was named the new coach, they won the 1982–83 UEFA Cup and the rebuilding of the club stadium began. But in the domestic league, Anderlecht had to settle for second place behind Standard. Their bid to retain the UEFA Cup in 1983–84 failed at the final hurdle against English side Tottenham Hotspur. Anderlecht reached the final controversially by beating another English side, Nottingham Forest, with a debatable extra-time penalty to win 3–2 on aggregate. It was later found Anderlecht had bribed the referee the equivalent of £27,000 to ensure passage to the final.

After three second-place finishes in a row, the Purple and Whites secured an easy 18th title in 1984–85, 11 points ahead of Club Brugge. In 1985–86, Anderlecht won the championship again, but this time after a two-legged play-off against Club Brugge. Anderlecht won their 20th championship on the last matchday of the 1986–87 season. Borussia Dortmund History

The club was founded on 19 December 1909 by a group of young men unhappy with church-sponsored Trinity Youth , where they played football under the stern and unsympathetic eye of the local parish priest. Father Dewald was blocked at the door when he tried to break up the organizing meeting being held in a room of the local pub, Zum Wildschütz . The founders were Franz and Paul Braun, Henry Cleve, Hans Debest, Paul Dziendzielle, Franz, Julius and Wilhelm Jacobi, Hans Kahn, Gustav Müller, Franz Risse, Fritz Schulte, Hans Siebold, August Tönnesmann, Heinrich and Robert Unger, Fritz Weber, Franz Wendt and Benno Elkan. The name Borussia is Latin for Prussia but was taken from Borussia beer from the nearby Borussia brewery in Dortmund. The team began playing in blue and white striped shirts with a red sash, and black shorts. In 1913, they donned the black and yellow stripes so familiar today.

Over the next decades the club enjoyed only modest success playing in local leagues. They had a brush with bankruptcy in 1929 when an attempt to boost the club's fortunes by signing some paid professional footballers failed miserably and left the team deep in debt. They survived only through the generosity of a local supporter who covered the team's shortfall out of his own pocket.

The 1930s saw the rise of the Third Reich , which restructured sports and football organizations throughout the nation to suit the regime's goals. Borussia' s president was replaced when he refused to join the Nazi Party , and a couple of members who surreptitiously used the club's offices to produce anti-Nazi pamphlets were executed in the last days of the war. The club did have greater success in the newly established Gauliga Westfalen, but would have to wait until after World War II to make a breakthrough. It was during this time that Borussia developed its intense rivalry with
Schalke 04 of suburban Gelsenkirchen , the most successful side of the era (see Revierderby). Like every other organisation in Germany, Borussia was dissolved by the Allied occupation authorities after the war in an attempt to distance the country's institutions from its so-recent Nazi past. There was a short-lived attempt to merge the club with two others –
Werksportgemeinschaft Hoesch and Freier Sportverein 98 – as Sportgemeinschaft Borussia von 1898 , but it was as Ballspiel-Verein Borussia ( BVB) that they made their first appearance in the national league final in 1949, where they lost 2–3 to VfR Mannheim.


Between 1946 and 1963, Borussia featured in the Oberliga West, a first division league which dominated German football through the late 1950s. In 1949 , Borussia reached the final in
Stuttgart against VfR Mannheim , which they lost 2–3 after extra time. The club claimed its first national title in 1956 with a 4–2 win against Karlsruher SC . One year later, Borussia defeated Hamburger SV 4–1 to win their
second national title . After this coup, the three Alfredos ( Alfred Preißler , Alfred Kelbassa and Alfred Niepieklo) were legends in Dortmund. In
1963 , Borussia won the last edition of the
German Football Championship (before the introduction of the new Bundesliga) to secure their third national title.

Juventus History


Juventus were founded as Sport-Club Juventus in late 1897 by pupils from the Massimo D'Azeglio Lyceum school in Turin, but were renamed as Foot-Ball Club Juventus two years later. The club joined the Italian Football Championship during 1900. In 1904 the businessman Ajmone-Marsan revived the finances of the football club Juventus, making it also possible to transfer the training field from Piazza d'Armi to the more appropriate Velodrome Umberto I. During this period the team wore a pink and black kit. Juventus first won the league championship in 1905 while playing at their Velodrome Umberto I ground. By this time the club colours had changed to black and white stripes, inspired by English side
Notts County .
There was a split at the club in 1906, after some of the staff considered moving Juve out of Turin. President Alfred Dick was unhappy with this and left with some prominent players to found FBC Torino which in turn spawned the Derby della Mole.



Juventus spent much of this period steadily rebuilding after the split, surviving the First World War.
League dominance
Fiat owner Edoardo Agnelli gained control of the club in 1923, and built a new stadium. [2] This helped the club to its second scudetto (league championship) in the 1925–26 season beating
Alba Roma with an aggregate score of 12–1,
Antonio Vojak 's goals were essential that season. The club established itself as a major force in Italian football since the 1930s, becoming the country's first professional club and the first with a decentralised fan base,
which led it to win a record of five consecutive Italian championships the first four under the management of Carlo Carcano and form the core of the Italy national team during the Vittorio Pozzo 's era, including the 1934 world champion squad . With star players such as Raimundo Orsi, Luigi Bertolini, Giovanni Ferrari and Luis Monti amongst others.

Juventus moved to the Stadio Comunale , but for the rest of the 1930s and the majority of the 1940s they were unable to recapture championship dominance. After the Second World War, Gianni Agnelli was appointed honorary president. The club added two more league championships to its name in the 1949–50 and 1951–52 seasons, the latter of which was under the management of Englishman
Jesse Carver .

Two new strikers were signed during 1957–58 ; Welshman John Charles and Italo-Argentine Omar Sívori , playing alongside longtime member Giampiero Boniperti . That season saw Juventus awarded with the Golden Star for Sport Excellence to wear on their shirts after becoming the first Italian side to win ten league titles. In the same season, Sívori became the first ever player at the club to win the
European Footballer of the Year . The following season they beat Fiorentina to complete their first league and cup double, winning Serie A and Coppa Italia . Boniperti retired in 1961 as the all-time top scorer at the club, with 182 goals in all competitions, a club record which stood for 45 years.


During the rest of the decade, the club won the league just once more in 1966–67 , The 1970s, however, saw Juventus further solidify their strong position in Italian football. Under former player Čestmír Vycpálek , they won the
scudetto in 1971–72 and 1972–73 ,with players such as Roberto Bettega , Franco Causio and José Altafini breaking through. During the rest of the decade, they won the league twice more, with defender Gaetano Scirea contributing significantly. The later win was under Giovanni Trapattoni , who also led the club to their first ever major European title, the
UEFA Cup , in 1977 , and helped the club's domination continue on into the early part of the 1980s. During Trapattoni's tenure, many Juventus players also formed the backbone of the Italy national team during Enzo Bearzot 's successful managerial era, including the 1978 World Cup , UEFA Euro 1980 and 1982 world champion squads .
