its so shocking that in a week over 200 boko haram members would be killed and you keep asking yourself questions like are they not finishing? why dont they kill the ogas at the top.. Jonathan is killing innocent civilians so that the population of the north would be reduced drastically come Feb 2015...SMH |

But in every sense of the word, why would a governor be distributing food to people...If they formulate solid economic and agricultural policies, i see no reason why anybody would come and be collecting rice and chicken from you just to feed. Imagine this kind of thing happening in lets say south africa, or somewhere in southern america...even in some less developed parts of Asia, you would not see this... |

[quote author=manny4life post=29043548]Got you!
That's the price we have to pay for electing selfish and nonchalant leaders in authority. I strongly agree with the OP as well because our leaders will be forced to look elsewhere to harness and continue their loot. When one door shuts, another opens.[/quote
Thats one point i forgot to mention.. They actually would not look else where until there is no one single kobo to loot!.. If "individuals" can single handedly put their hands and loot our foreign reserve, do you think that they give a damn what happens tomorrow? the only set of people who would look else where are new set of leadership that have the interest of Nigeria at heart who just want a change.. But for these ones there? forget it my brother.. they would keep managing the little they can still loot till the end. |
Politics › Re: Crashing Oil Prices; A Blessing In Disguise For Nigeria!!!! by redcliff: 9:18am On Dec 20, 2014 |
manny4life: I beg to differ because diversification of whether a business or economy and whether it's during growth or recession, wealth or poverty largely depends on restructuring. Granted that it's best to diversify when the economy is booming, but if the govt restructures its commitment, yes it will be hard but it's achievable. Im not saying it cant be done now.. but the right time it should have been done when there was excess, it wasnt so right now, it would inflict more hardship on the people because the in the end and during times like these, the people bear the final burden. Lets look at it with this example, a poor man who has just one motorcycle and can barely feed himself and family going to buy a car.. |
Politics › Re: Crashing Oil Prices; A Blessing In Disguise For Nigeria!!!! by redcliff: 9:09am On Dec 20, 2014 |
manny4life: Why is it too late? You do not diversify when the economy is suffering..most successful oil producing nations like qatar and the UAE did theirs when the economy was gloating from the proceds of oil! |

kourhage: It is indeed a blessing at least fir the first time we will be looking at what each region is going to bring to the table, south east more like the industrial hubb as to production, south west will bring her intellectual capacity, south south still oil, North west animal produce, and vegetables, North central more of quarry products and cement so everyone have something on table so less reliance on south south. God bless Nigeria What intellectual capacity? Face it.. SW has noyhing to offer..the men in the east and north are dummies right? |

I like what is happening. But as you rightfully said, we do not learn as a nation. This would just be an eye opener to the govt that nothing last especially if its controlled by international forces..but this eye opener wont make them still do anything about it... they are just too lazy up there..Nigeria is going broke.shoutout to poverty! |
