The best agitation to be done right now by Nnamdi Kanu and Igbos is the peaceful and forceful agitation for the massive development of the Eastern part of Nigeria. If all energies can be used to develop the East, build good roads, create jobs, improve mentality, educate everyone to be responsible, compel Eastern governors to work with favourable deadlines, then this will be the best agitation of the decade or century. Imagine a beautiful Eastern Nigeria.

I will advise Nnamdi Kanu and the Igbos to be at peace with Nigeria, as one of its major battles now is the development of the East...

Please let all Igbo big men, socialites and those in government see to the development of the East. If this is done, many Igbos will return to the East for life and business.

If the East is like Dubai, then it is a good bargain......

Nothing will happen. You might be speaking for the SW, but the eastern part will be fine.

We eat plantain, yam, cocoyam, garri, local rice, egusi, ogbono, chicken, eggs, fish, goat meat, with our palm oil for soup, which are not from the north. We have Nsukka pepper.

The main thing that comes from the north is onions and may be tomatoes, which can be cultivated or imported. After all Nigeria still imports rice and beans and tomato puree, from other countries.

I am not Hausa/Fulani so I don’t think I can speak for them. Not that I’m saying they are not also guilty of the same religious intolerance but I hate it when people like the Ibos turn themselves to a symbol of moral authority to condemn the northerners.

For the issue of Kano, I think it is a result of a failed government structure. Normally as a state, they have the right to make any legislation they think it’s best for them since the Shariah police derive their power from the state.

However, government at the center should not give them a dime from the VAT generated from alcohol from other regions and that is a result of a directionless path of the Nigeria government structure.

As a Muslim in the South, I myself know the Northerners need a lot of liberation and need to eschew the spirit of dogmatism to religious teaching (morals) that somehow change with time.

We have the Saudis, Kuwaitis, UAE, and etc modifying their laws so I don’t see the reason why the North choose to remain dogmatic in their thinking.
