You can't apply for a visiting visa while your FAMILY SPONSORSHIP VISA is processing.

The duration is one year but it can exceed one year.

Hi guys, I got my police clearance certificate today and I have a question to ask.

How did you submit your police clearance certificate? Did you scan it and attach to your form online, submit it at their office here in Nigeria or did you mail it through courier service to CIC?

For those that took the online root, did you scan and attach all your supporting documents online or was there any specific document you had to send to CIC through courier service or to their office in Nigeria.

Please I urgently need the info so I will know the next step to take.

People that have successfully received visa after one year processing time should please tell me the supporting documents they submitted for their app.

2nd IELTS (April): LRSW - 9, 8.5, 7.5, 6 (Applied for remark at BC and it was upgraded to 7 after 2 wks. Funny enough I prepared for this one with just 5 days only listening and 2hrs for writing so I am a bad example lol)

ECA: March 20 WES (evaluated only masters)
POF: Fixed deposit for 6 months (bank reference letter and FD certificate only)
ITA: May 23
AOR: June 23
IP1/MEP: July 6
IP2: Oct 18
ADR: Oct 19 ( Additional Family Information) - submitted Oct 20

PPR dated: Nov 5

A friend of my husband got approval for her spouse sowp and visas for her kids on Friday, a month after application with medicals passed a day before; Nairobi, Kenya office...
My application is with London visa office and no update, it is well!

If I have a friend or relative in Kenya I would have gone and submit mine from there. Anything that will reduce my PPR processing time is a welcome development

CIC didn't process mine at all just realized last week when my husband went to their office. My app was submitted second week of December.


They said he didn't include his job details.

Ok That's true, some people prefer to talk in private, but for the sake of otherr people that it will help, you can try the MPNP if you hav a sponsor in manitoba, or express entry if you have a masters degree and ur IELTS is upto 8.0 I hope that helps

Long post alert!!!

So my canny journey started in 2016, please see my TL below.

First app: SOWP

Applied, August 2016 and refused September 2016 (paper)

Husband NOC: C

Second app: visit

Applied October 2016 and refused November 2016 (paper)

NOC was updated from C to B (2017 Long story of preparation)

Third app: SOWP

Applied January 19, 2018 and Refused February 24, 2018. (Paper)

Fourth app: SOWP

This application came with a lot of surprises.

Online route
Applied: February 26, 2018
Biometrics: February 28
Upfront medical updated: March 29
Approval and ppt request: October 19 (33weeks)
Ppt submitted: October 22 (the rest is history).

After using the whole of my family's documents in my previous apps, I decided to go for @dodoyemi's formula (by just using the required docs stated online), the statement we submitted was 3 months old and I uploaded it in a very scattered manner. When we started getting worried, I submitted CSE and got a response from Lagos embassy, hubby called IRCC and he was informed that the app was in London (U.K), I sent them a mail and was told "under active review". After 4 weeks hubby sent a mail to London but Lagos replied, my last mail to London two weeks later was very long and should have pushed any angry VO to make a decision because at that point i gave up hope and just wanted them to either reject or approve the app but i got the same one lined response. Eitherways, I was already preparing for EE.

Hubby submitted our EE profile on October 16, we were hoping to meet the October 17 draw, only for CIC to have conducted the draw on the 15th and the approval message came to my profile on October 19. Are this preparations tied? (I'm still trying to phantom the psychology of IRCC). Plus hubby's work permit expires January (due to passport expiry) and CIC issued me a 2 months visa till January (I'm still surprised).

A lot of intertwined stories but as always God is still on the throne....@dodoyemi thank you for everything.

My one penny to spouses of workers on here is that;

1.) IRCC's priorities are students and PR applicants (if I had known this, I won't be in this country by now instead of all d shakers I gave)

2.) Please start something towards EE, a step in the right direction is better than no step.

Abeg I they go pack my bag before dem change their mind.

Where did you get your police clearance certificate? On the CIC website the mentioned State CID Lagos, I don't stay in Lagos I don't know if the one I will get from my state CID will be approved of if it will be a problem...

Yes my husband went to immigration office in Quebec and the booked an appointment for them to attend to him a week after,

on the appointed day he was told my application (Family Sponsorship) was returned because he didn't include his job details. They also said he won't pay another fee for me while reapplying.

I was unaware I spent 10 months waiting for nothing.
