An egg looks like a crazy jellyfish underwater A cracked egg on land might make a big mess, but 18 metres (60 feet) below the surface of the ocean, the pressure on the egg is 2.8 times atmospheric pressure, and it holds it all together like an invisible egg shell. [img][/img]

The following information will contain different facts both science, non science and others ......e.t.c. They are subject to research and change overtime. Water can boil and freeze at the same time Seriously, it's called the 'triple point', and it occurs when the temperature and pressure is just right for the three phases (gas, liquid, and solid) of a substance to coexist in thermodynamic equilibrium. Oh my gosh, yes. Not only is this an incredible example of total internal reflection, it also shows how fibre optic cables work to guide the flow of light.

And finally a short story from one of my best books.... THE DEATHLY HALLOWS "'There were once three brothers who were traveling along a lonely, winding road at twilight –'" "In time, the brothers reached a river too deep to wade through and too dangerous to swim across. However, these brothers were learned in the magical arts, and so they simply waved their wands and made a bridge appear across the treacherous water. They were halfway across it when they found their path blocked by a hooded figure. And Death spoke to them. He was angry that he had been cheated out of the three new victims, for travelers usually drowned in the river. But Death was cunning. He pretended to congratulate the three brothers upon their magic, and said that each had earned a prize for having been clever enough to evade him. "'So the oldest brother, who was a combative man, asked for a wand more powerful than any in existence: a wand that must always win duels for its owner, a wand worthy of a wizard who had conquered Death! So Death crossed to an elder tree on the banks of the river, fashioned a wand from a branch that hung there, and gave it to the oldest brother. "'Then the second brother, who was an arrogant man, decided that he wanted to humiliate Death still further, and asked for the power to recall others from Death. So Death picked up a stone from the riverbank and gave it to the second brother, and told him that the stone would have the power to bring back the dead. "'And then Death asked the third and youngest brother what he would like. The youngest brother was the humblest and also the wisest of the brothers, and he did not trust Death. So he asked for something that would enable him to go forth from that place without being followed by Death. And Death, most unwillingly, handed over his own Cloak of Invisibility.' Then Death stood aside and allowed the three brothers to continue on their way, and they did so talking with wonder of the adventure they had had and admiring Death's gifts. "'In due course the brothers separated, each for his own destination. "'The first brother traveled on for a week more, and reaching a distant village, sought out a fellow wizard with whom he had a quarrel. Naturally, with the Elder Wand as his weapon, he could not fail to win the duel that followed. Leaving his enemy dead upon the floor the oldest brother proceeded to an inn, where he boasted loudly of the powerful wand he had snatched from Death himself, and of how it made him invincible. "'That very night, another wizard crept upon the oldest brother as he lay, winesodden upon his bed. The thief took the wand and for good measure, slit the oldest brother's throat. "'And so Death took the first brother for his own. "'Meanwhile, the second brother journeyed to his own home, where he lived alone. Here he took out the stone that had the power to recall the dead, and turned it thrice in his hand. To his amazement and his delight, the figure of the girl he had once hoped to marry, before her untimely death, appeared at once before him. "'Yet she was sad and cold, separated from him as by a veil. Though she had returned to the mortal world, she did not truly belong there and suffered. Finally the second brother, driven mad with hopeless longing, killed himself so as to truly join her. "'And so Death took the second brother from his own. "'But though Death searched for the third brother for many years, he was never able to find him. It was only when he had attained a great age that the youngest brother finally took off the Cloak of Invisibility and gave it to his son. And the he greeted Death as an old friend, and went with him gladly, and, equals, they departed this life.'" This story was gotten from J.K ROWLINGS BOOK HARRY POTTER...from the TALES OF BARD AND BEEDLE ...precisely If you haven't read any of the Harry Potter books or watched the movies you are missing..... |
LOVE AND DEATH Though I go into the bosom of Gaia elevated, I ascend to Olympus higher i was formally a friend to cupid but his arrows struck me acrid Tell Venus she brought chaos even now the fate of the world hangs in imbalance cupids arrow have met deception it no longer touches the heart but the head Psyche had borne evil that depletes love its no longer love that I see but lust those depraved minds crave for bodies instead of the heart, without love, so cunning My eyes saw enough to last my years so I begged thanatos for his help let me go without feeling this sweet pain let cupid remember me as a bad hero Thanatos came but he was peaceful I felt alone yet feel his every presence and when he asked for a kiss of life I obliged with my head resting on my side Then I felt a piercing in my heart it was painful, but it came with pleasure and there I saw beside thanatos, cupid no one leaves without experiencing me Though I go into the bosom of Gaia elevated, I ascend to Olympus higher i was formally a friend to cupid but his arrows struck me acrid. |

I AM STILL HERE I am still here and you are still there I never left, I just went for a short walk I now flow with the northern wind I now accompany the eastern breeze I am always here beside you When you smile, and even when you cry do not speak my name with pitiful emotions let not the tone of your voice break in motion Speak of me with pride and joy let my memories spark a note of love see me as stars that litter the night skies and believe me, out of sight but not mind Play with my memories of us Smile with every thought of my jokes pray for every one of my numerous sins Life meant all that it ever dealt me I await your coming, not soon though before then live freely, love dearly nothing was lost but everything was found Life is here now but may leave tomorrow Before I go, don't forget to drop petals Let them rest on the tombstone beside my grave for I'll pass by soon with friends in the coming days I am still here and you are just there. |

THE LAMB The dibia looked up at the king and shook his head, the silent whispers of the trees around the palace seems to convey an odd message, the dibia looked at the king and said “Eze okala, your son has travelled beyond the reach of Amazinkwe, am afraid you have to bury him, there is no need crying when the head is off” he ended and picked up his ofo, looked around the palace, peering into the face of the chiefs sitting around their king and started on his way out but before he got to the entrance of the palace he shouted “that animal should never be mentioned again in this land, it has taken away the happiness of the royal family and is therefore an abomination, all of it remaining should be killed”, he ended before stepping out as the noise of his ofo and his constant mumbling to unseen spirits were fading with the chirping of the birds as he walked back to the shrine of Amazinkwe at the outskirts of Umonobodo. The king looked quite advanced with heavy build ,dark complexioned and sitting beside the throne was the queen at his feet crying and looking at the face of the pale boy who was lying on the mat, with the gloomy face of the elders sitting on the bench that sat beside the throne inside the palace, some whispering unheard murmurs about the incident ,the king got up and looked in the direction of the guard to his left, “you heard the dibia, do what is necessary”, he got up as he finished talking and helped the crying queen up as they walked out of the palace to his hut behind amidst the various mumblings of the chiefs. So my children “that was how that long forgotten animal came to be an abomination and is never mentioned aloud, it killed the only child Eze okala brought to this world as his wife never bore him any sons again”, Emechie finished his story looking at the young faces of his three children, it was dark and the winds carried nature's ventilation around alongside the various noises of nocturnal animals, obi the youngest boy with an inquisitive look in his eyes tapped his father Nnayi, “but how did the lamb kill the boy?”, “you were sleeping naw otondo how will you hear?, when papa already said that the boy was playing with the animal before he fell into a ditch and was later discovered by a maid who saw both the lamb and the boy later on inside the ditch”, replied oluchi the eldest of the children, “but how did they know it was the lamb that killed the boy?” retorted the other girl Nma looking at the face of the elder sister with sheer curiosity, “okay thats all for this night you may all go to your hut”, their father ended the spat without speaking further about the issue ,he knew the questions that arose from the events of that gloomy day still hang with the gods, “with time they will understand”, Emechie added silently. As obi trudged behind his sister he wondered how the lamb managed to have killed the boy inside the well, but was there not any maiden or royal guards around?, maybe someone who was the foe of Eze okala had ended the life of the boy or maybe the perpetrators of the crime were inside the palace savouring the defeat since the king was now on his death bed with no heir to the throne, but how could they tell?, it has been fifteen years now that a lamb brought an end to the lineage of the king or maybe it was just an accident, questions were crossing his mind as he yawned, he better go to sleep as there would be much work on the farm tomorrow. |
Another short story by me accompanied by a short kinda poem. My baby, how come a full adult like yourself stooped so low to be called my baby, how come through the months that followed i never knew your track was a full album but it was a solo filled with too many sorrow, how come the moments we shared acted like road bumps and potholes, how come when I smiled you cried, when I loved you hate , when I blessed you cursed, when I was asleep you were awake bearing the pain, that my heart was not fully there with you and the fear in you pushed you closer to the cliff of our love story, and when I walked closer you walked backwards, I was mad over you but instead you preferred one over two, my absence became your pain killer but your absence was my high fever, you caused my scenes to change from love to hurt, from the top to the pop of my balloon of feelings, I never saw your byes not even the mind to go for a healing, and yet I still had hope for a minute that you would come back and smile for me, I thought you would come back to dance with me, I thought you knew that J was here before I met you, I thought you prayed for his help yet you fail his test, I thought you knew my attention being scarce was not for Glory but to keep myself holy, I thought you knew that I never kissed you because I felt your body was his temple, I thought you knew that I have always loved you but not as much as he did, I was close as your arm's length but he was closer than your breath. I thought you knew............ #Hezeqel #D-E.p #she will understand |

© Obaz Hezeqel ,2017. All rights reserved. This book or any portion thereof may not be reproduced or used in any manner whatsoever without the express written permission of the author. This is a work of fiction. If love was this sweet how come my taste of it is different ,it was one heart break after another for the past six years from the twenty six I have spent on earth ,my name is Ijeoma Obodo ,a graduate of economics from the university of Benin and I had a good job with an auditing firm. Until I met Johnson Okon ,I had thought all men were heartless and wicked and just want to take advantage of my curvy body and simplicity. But all that changed when I bumped into Johnson some few months back. That day, I was coming back late from work in a frantic frenzy to get home early ,I was carrying some foodstuffs which I intend to do justice to that evening, cooking a nice soup and do a tasteful collabo with eba then enjoy the rest of my weekend at home watching movies from my p.c ,but all that turned sour when the garri I bought was caught by Johnson's car keys at the busy ring road, the polythene bag burst open and the whole basket of garri I bought just started streaming down ,with red eyes I looked at my garri and then looked up to see the fool who could not keep a sharp object hidden in his pocket ,but when i looked up, i saw a young dark handsome face on a well built body and ,he was wearing a T-shirt and a jean but all that didn't matter before I could say the next word ,he muttered slowly “I am very sorry ,pls let me pay for that ”, he pointed at the already spilled garri ,out of anger my reply to him was “really?”, and I stormed pass him heading towards the buses that normally go towards ugbowo ,as I still lived in the apartment I rented during my school days. I never knew he was following till I came down from the bus when i alighted close to ubth and I saw him come down from his Lexus 330 jeep and I waited as i knew he was coming to apologise better, he came closer and after ranting and cursing himself for spilling my garri and repeating how sorry he was, we had a little chit chat that was how my love life saw a new turn. Though he was a year younger but the love we had was one that knew no bounds ,he was a chemical engineering graduate from UNIPORT ,currently working in benin with pepsi-cola and he showed me all the love and care I had been deprived of the past few years, he was my hero, my jack, my everything and after three years of dating ,he popped the most awaited question every young girl hopes to put an end to their life of being a spinster. And when he did I said yes, consenting with all the happiness and pride i could muster and just like every fairy tale his personal business blossomed ,he went to see my parents in Anambra and a date was fixed, he later on bought me a new Honda accord car to boost my quick movement around the busy roads in the city of Benin. Until one faithful day while I was coming back from work, driving on ekenhuan road back home after I went to collect some audit documents from a sick co-worker I was listening to patoranking's wedding day, it was barely two months from the traditional marriage, I got a call from one of my friends who just heard the goodnews of my marriage ,she was a coursemate and a friend back in school ,we were having a conversation through my Bluetooth speaker on the car connected to my phone and one split moment I saw a young girl trying to quickly cross the road ,I was not really on speed and tried to make a swerve and all I remembered was a scream..... My supposed marriage was yesterday and I just finished discussing with Johnson as I angrily threw his engagement ring at him because he tried persuading me going abroad for surgery and rehabilitation so I can get walking again as the specialist doctor had suggested, because am currently sitting in a wheel chair and yes, the marriage was post-poned indefinitely and i feel God should have allowed me to die in the accident instead of this shame and pain. Though Johnson has been supportive since the accident I still think I'm just a burden to him, he should move on and let me think of the next step in my life, which is obey my parents and Johnson, go for the surgery as the doctor suggested or drink the whole caplet of valion 5 and sleep on to never wake up, mind you i have a suicide note already and this thoughts have been with me for some time now, i have been nursing these feelings the past few days...... ............LIFE IS NOT FAIR and I don't know what to do ??Sometimes the pain we feel are enough to pull us down and break us, but the only solution to pain is either you allow it put you down or you do something about it ,and as they say in waff town “do something ,before something do you” and that something is never suicide, its HOPE, it's what keeps us going never give up HOPE. PEACE. |

LAW AND ORDER A drug smuggler spelt truth, justice is bind with blindfolds, holding a scale and a sword, too blind to notice the bribe, that outweighs more than truth. The man in black can risk his life, putting it on a thin line of bravery, it cuts subjecting family to slavery, his reward rakes in poverty, pains and suffering their daily gallery. When promotion awaits losers, the hands of the highest bidders, bravery is thrown to the mud, who cares about the dedicated man, our government and her perfect system. The fraudster will feign smiles, years before tossed insults daily, your friend is a graduate, you tussle with jamb, until he pressed the code 4-1-9. He now owns cash and cars, every insult has fall aside, even the law turns white black, if you placed the right cash, where do we place our values. The recipe served now is injustice, the law is not on the menu, justice is outside the order, use of inks and keypads, reveals our foe and its impact. We forget the price to be paid, a life short brute and ugly, misshaped attitudes towards her, we put her aside with our lives, Till we believe the blindfold is a veil. Till our priorities reveal honesty, Leaders reflect transparency, Followers represent unity not tribalism, She will die crumbling to dust, Till we believe in law and order. |
APHRODITE OR CUPID Have you been kissed by Aphrodite?, when your eyes become blind to facts, leaving your feet to be led by your heart, when you see the world through the stars, the fragrance of death becomes attractive. Have you felt his love tingles the brain?, the priceless smile on the mothers face, as she cuddles her innocent baby in rest, knowing one day his heart will stray away, to find its missing piece in another's. Have you been knocked by cupids arrow?, to see the relation between death and love, that they both care for your body and mind, as a baby yearns for the mother's milk, without you they are not complete. Have you heard of the love story?, of how the sun died every night, each night to remind the moon and the stars, how he loves and wishes them to shine bright, because without death a love story is incomplete. |
I DON'T KNOW When will I become rich, words speak of me as a star, but I have not yet reach the Sky, my display remains my leap for the sun. When is he coming back, the promise to prepare a place, the hope of arrival once again, hangs on a thin thread if damnation. Will my country rise again, to emerge the giant of Africa, to be free of debased ideologies, do we have leaders of tomorrow. When will I stop seeing charlatans, self acclaimed cultive illetrates, whose certificates betrays alma-mater, they remain as space employers matter. Will our youths learn hard work, stop singing and chanting soft work, their ways a product o smart work, their days an antidote to bad thoughts. When will I become a man, rise up on the sunrise with dreams, be a reflection of reality at sunset, will I become taller with time or grow wiser as the clock chimes. Questions my daily cup of tea, mixed with pain and anxiety, fear for what the future holds, what Delphi unfolds remain hidden, I don't know an answer to my questions. Written by: EAZYKIEL
