THE FINAL STEP

Believe in what you're doing, if you are a Muslim; pray to Allah. If you're a Christian, pray to God.

Make sure, you do all that is needed to be in the best condition for the exams.
In all honesty, make the right choice, where to enroll your exams, the tertiary institutions you are to select as your choice.
Because they all have consequences, some are tribalistic, others you'll have to bribe your way into the school.

So look before you leap...
First Understand the battle in front; WAEC and Jamb. Then take the needed route to be the winner by;
Secondly; Preparing adequately and properly, there are no shortcuts to success, take the long hard road to freedom...
Thirdly, avoid all forms of distraction, feed your focus, starve the distractions...
Lastly, Believe in your dreams, follow all means to get there. Spiritually and physically, mentally, financially, and of course choose the right schools and the best institutions that suit you...
Because it all matters...
Success....

Hopefully I will be posting tips on other important exam issues as time goes on..

Now you may think distractions do not come when you're so serious with the books, trust me they will come.
We are human beings prone to mood swings, losing interest, and of course lack of zeal to continue...

What helped me scale through...
-----_----------_----------------

I remembered why I was reading, why I was doing all the necessary essentials concerning the subjects, I reminded myself of finishing the university early, I dreamed of entering school at a very young age, I made it a priority to be among the best or if possible be the best for me, myself and I.

That became my adrenaline, so what is your adrenaline....

Remember time lost can never be regained, if your mates leave you behind, it's gonna be difficult to catch up and it is difficult to even play catch up....

More tips will follow....

THE THIRD STEP
Distraction is the biggest sin...
This is the biggest sin, you can commit while preparing for an exam. T.V, social media, I mean all things that can cause you to lose focus is a distraction. And you should do away with all especially when you're studying.

I do not mean, no FB, Twitter, or IG but I mean doing the right thing at the right time.
Savvy.....

THE SECOND STEP
Studying Adequately is a must...

There's a salient difference between reading and studying. Even the Bible says study to show yourself an approved workman....
It's not just about reading and answering the past questions but how much have you been able to derive from the books and past questions. How much have you gained and how much do you know.

Now if you must be at the top of your game, practicing past questions must be at the top of the list, let me tell you the methods I applied and from this you can develop your own method. My brain and your brain is not the same, so don't expect what works for you to work for me and likewise the other way round.

Now, I was juggling in between past questions while preparing for exams, attempting theory questions and trying to answer as much as possible and if I fall behind while trying to get the questions right. I revise with my textbooks and re-attempt the questions again. If you must become better, you must be able to study past questions for long, re-attempt the failed theory questions without spying from your notes or your textbooks.

The act of studying doesn't always seem easy but the rewards are bountiful, if you can put your heart to it for the next few months, you will be smiling when you see your results....
So study and study real hard...

FIRST STEP
How much understanding have you acquired on WAEC.

The questions are not always straightforward, nor will the marking be.
If you're depending on your school note to prepare you for the exam, that's a big joke. I am not one of the opinion of believing in tutoring centres I never attended any, though they can come as an added advantage. But so many tutors I know are just there to show off, catch the elderly young Jambites and of course sell their books. And I know this, because I know so many personally....

So first understand that WAEC is an external exam that will be marked by someone you will never know or explain why your English was incorrect or why your handwriting was looking like fowl scratch or why you did not write your examination number....

So whatever you are gonna do, do it in a manner where when you leave the exam hall, you have no doubts of what you've written or if you'll pass.

In a nutshell understand the WAEC syllabus, the marking scheme and act on it.
The next tip will follow shortly, thank you.
I await questions and other ish.... smiley
EducationRe: Tips On Acing WAEC And JAMB by REDInks(op): 9:04am On Jan 15, 2019
I wrote my WAEC and JAMB many years back, then the JAMB was PPT(paper and pencil test) and I nailed both with little or no help...
Let's get underway, the first step to winning a battle is understanding your opponent and preparing for every counter measure for every new trick they decide to pull out of their magic hat.

So first question is; How much understanding have you acquired about WAEC, the syllabus, the marking scheme and the little tiny bit of details that matters.
Depending on your school teachers to teach you what you feel will be included or based on the exam questions is the first step to failure.
Your school can never, your teachers can never finish the syllabus, or teach you all you need to know.
Majority of the work starts and ends with you, and if you're someone who believes in miracle centre. God help you, because even with miracle centres people fail....

THE FAILING MUSIC INDUSTRY

“Eledumare bless you with money o....”, thanks for opening this post. I hope you can be able to soco soco; (suck all) the lyrics am about to throw down your lungs...lol

“Mo ti gbana moti elevate”, I was not even high writing this, I took my time to play most of our hit songs and without their table of contents, their songs seem abstract, no conclusion or recommendation. Then surely, this is an incomplete project.

“I don't even minddddd, troubling youuuuuu” with how many times, I have to listen to so many hits that has no major concentration except on love, sex and money; SHUGA.

Is that what music is all about?, even the worst set of artists in America who do drugs, take out time to dish out a sensible song at least to address social issues, sometimes insulting their leaders and this is also found inside the tracklist of a whole load of trash.
“Nobody for here get liver”.
I know some of us are “Mr lover lover, I know say you like naija music well well”, and I pretty much love most of our sound, but the message is still very much trashy.

Shout out to the short black man from Jos, for he saw it fit to release the evolution of yung denzl after the rendezvous looked like a crawling boxer laid to rest by the ever constant punch of nonsense lyrics from so called rappers I know.

Am just broke, and am also praying for “poverty to die die die, poverty die”, but then I still think we can do better with the lyrics of the songs we push. Afterall “I surren, I surrender to your....”.
I still give it up to our amazing artists, they have done a wonderful job this year and next year of course promises better, but they should learn to stick to the root and the truth when it's necessary.
Because, “This is Nigeria, look how we living now, everybody dey sing rubbish”, the only notable track that pushed everything to the limelight was banned, nice one by NBC. They are as irrelevant as MBC to GOtv.
When we saw that they didn't like the truth, we motivate ourselves, “my biggest motivation na those men wey no pay me for song wey I write o”. Story for anoda day.

But “as the gbedu dey enter body”, let's not forget music is a food to the soul, when we constantly feed our sub conscious with trash, we feed our growing children with trash, they see videos that are trash.
Let's be expecting well cultured sweet boys and beautiful stew gangs. Well I cannot comman kill myself, am on a codeine diet, sorry I meant protein diet.

After we nówó during this festive period, our country demands a lot from us and our artist. Because I'm expecting more banger to banger, and this songs should not only be a beauty because of our beats or the sound.
I still laugh at top charting songs like “werk”, omò otedola pushing trash music.
Abegiiii “Baby give me your love, aroma schnapp, because I love you with all my heart”, abeg forget all this shit above we go still jogodo to these tracks when they come on.

But then, it can be wonderful for our artists to portray the situations of the majority that are broke, hungry, and poor; those who will still take their small one hundred naira to buy airtime, sub midnight data and download their trash.
Sometimes they should speak the mind of the people, that is why FELA is still living in our hearts, so I pray for everyone who read this post to see it fit to broadcast of course with my name under it, so it's not just about the beats or the shaku shaku,
But the Truth; our industry needs to rise up from its dead life.
For those who want to criticise; “Bad energy stay far away, make you stay far away”...... lol

WHO FAILED WHO?

Before you unleash yourself on my post like a world recognized critic, take out time to examine the following lines and you will be able to read the truth in between.
Where is our moral compass, who stole it?.
Was it removed from office alongside Jonathan, because with patience I have observed the first point of duty call has been left naked.
Mummy and Daddy no longer care, the kids no longer hear or even pay heed. They are too broke listening to songs like “wetin we gain” in reality not understanding the deep truth behind the lyrics.
So the first barrack of defence; parenthood is now in shambles, as most parents rather prefer watching TV, spending the last few hours before bedtime on social media or trying to explain to the kids how they are working their ass off to put food on the table, than actually take time out with the kids; know them, understand them.
But that feels like a lot of work and “the heat alone for this house when we no dey get light..., no need, open the window, we need breeze abeg!”, well that's cool.

The song our Church play to the ears of the teenagers and youths are no different, they continually barrage the audience with sermons of little offering,
“don't put #20 inside offering box, its a sin against God”.
No longer salvation their message preach, just the blessings, their audible essays teach.
They can't reiterate the truth of the parents, because the parents laid down no truth. They are only concerned with the seed that can open the windows of heaven,
“so our able God can shower his blessings”.

Kind of ironic you know, the church is no longer in charge of checking the excesses of the congregation, “because, if you preach wetin them no like, you go lose members”. So this week “you shall sell like never before, you shall receive a miracle phone call and the church thunders.....Amen!”.
Let's share the grace in fellowship already.

Oh you think I am lying, Oya hit me!...
My Reverend took out time on a particular sunday to criticise parents on the privilege they've given to their children to display all forms of irresponsibility through their dress code, but after his short abstract sermon off the Bible. He shouted praise the Lord and the whole church refused to respond....well, hallelujah!.

Moving out of the home and the church since we are all Christians and believers if you are not a christian, you surely believe in something. That's to address the latter(believers).
The society is one place that is lacking moral beings.
We have so many Yahoo boys with no laptop who are constantly on the rise, well shut up!...
I know, my post tastes bitter, I should have done this in a chocolate city for most persons who would lick through immoral lyrics and lines, let's not even go there.
I am coming for the music industry, let me finish this one dance with who is to blame first.
All these lyrics, all because our youths are constantly in need of motivation. To do what exactly?
Go to the club, pour expensive drinks on their expensive jewelries after all they just had a fill of the icebox, youths with their expensive shits....lol

Yes, where's our Government in all this?. They are like a big sleeping giant, feeding off their slaves; the masses.
The government do this when they feel it is the needful and the people are so petty, don't blame them.
They are need full.
Are they the cause?, I don't know. You ask yourself, every four years the pot bellied excellencies remember they are a certain group of people who are in need of constant light, good water, good roads and proper education and social amenities. Then they retrace their routes, come in their flowing agbada and well tailored senator attires with enough cash inside the boot of their Toyota Jeeps. You should sometimes listen to their manisfestos with an open mind and laugh at their stupidity; I will create 1 million jobs. “Ehnnnn, uncle you can lie o”.
This gossip looks juicy, but it's true.
No matter the cream you use, you can't bleach a lie to become truth, because I still think bleachers are not enlightened.

And by the end of the day, they are sure of their victories at the polls. After that nothing else matters, they resume covering up previous tracks of stolen monies and continue amassing wealth for their fourth generation who are yet unborn.
And where is amaka in all of this to disappoint them?, she is waiting for a true saviour and “she don wait so tey, she don lose weight”.
What can I say?, when we don't know if we have a part time president or a full time traveller.
And what's this I heard about a clone?, whether Jubril of Saudi Arabia or PMB, he has failed us and he's still failing us, and I don't even need an assurance that he is my president.
So while some of you are ATIKULATING OBIDIENTLY, I still feel cheated of my country's right to get THE PRESIDENT, but then I still prefer the lesser evil, if you know, you know.
A wise man once said, “you want to read a good story, write one”.
Instead of choosing between the umbrella and the broom which is more useful for the different weathers, let's ask ourselves a simple question; Our parents are no longer interested in the growth process of their children, our teachers are too concerned with their pay home to impart knowledge and of course too many strikes; that thunder cannot even count.
The government is constantly falling sick, it's like it has a never ending fever, in truth; our country is a big pot of stew lacking so many ingredients.
So who failed who?
