Two persons including a dispatch rider, were killed during a brawl between hoodlums popularly called ‘area boys’ at the Fadeyi area in Lagos state today April 10th. According to reports, the dispatch rider died after he was hit by a stray bullet.

The fight started at about 11am with sporadic shooting that left people scampering for their lives and the federal road closed down for hours. No one knows the main cause of the fracas.

“The crisis is not a small matter. Immediately the shooting started, the police on ground ran away, because those boys were heavily armed. They were not carrying pistols. I don’t know how to describe their guns, but the guns they carried surpassed that of the police in terms of the sophistication. It was after the whole crisis has simmered that the police and some SARS officials came to the scene,” a resident of the area said.

Police officers, stationed at the area to maintain orderliness, confirmed the killing, adding they have deposited the corpses at the morgue.

The Niger State Police Command has arrested a 50-year-old grandpa for stabbing his neighbour, Asabe Zagi, 60, several times, for allegedly making love advances to his granddaughter.

According to a report by Vanguardngr, the suspect, Malam Sani Yusuf, revealed that: “My neighbour, Zagi, who is a staff of Bosso Council has been running after my granddaughter and luring her with SIM cards and other things in order to have carnal knowledge of her. .

He denied it when I confronted him, but as far as I know, I am sure that my allegations are correct and I stabbed him severally to teach him a lesson. I didn’t have the intention of killing him, hence the stabbing, but I regret what I have done and I plead for forgiveness.”

The marine biologist turn neo-soul singer took to her Instagram page to revealed her real name are Amarachi Chinonso, a Nigerian from Eastern part of the country.

SZA was raised in a family that practiced mixed religion but was mostly groomed as a Muslim, the singer was named Solána Imani Rowe at birth on November 8, 1990. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri and groomed in Maplewood, New Jersey.

To get Dubai Visa now go hard

The Federal Government has condemned the action of five Nigerians arrested for alleged robbery of Dh 2.3 million Dinars in Sharjah area of Dubai, United Arab Emirate (UAE).


The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Abike Dabiri-Erewa said this in a statement to NAN by her media aide, Mr Abdur-Rahman Balogun, on Tuesday in Abuja.

The five Nigerians had on Sunday allegedly stormed a money exchange centre in Sharjah and fled with 2.3 million Dinars before they were arrested by the Dubai Police.

The five suspects who were on visitors visas to Dubai include Chimuanya Ozoh, Benjamin Ajah, Kingsley Ngoka, Tochukwu Alisi and Chile Ndunagu.


According to the police, the men barged into the exchange and smashed the glass barrier between the customers and the staff, stole the money in multiple currencies and fled.

The presidential aide said the action of the five Nigerians was condemnable.

She described the action of the Nigerians in a foreign land as despicable and shameful as it is not in accordance with good character of Nigerians.

Dabiri-Erewa, however, warned Nigerians living abroad to be good ambassadors of the country and desist from tarnishing the good image of Nigeria.

She also advised embassies to screen applicants for visa and ensure that they are of good character.

Nigerians on social media as reacts to Minister of Agriculture, Audu Ogbeh claim that Nigerians import Pizza from London using their mobile phones.

According to the minister who appeared before a Senate committee on Agriculture to defend his 2019 ministry budget.

He said: “Do you know, sir, that there are Nigerians who use their cellphones to import pizza from London; they buy in London and bring it on British Airways in the morning to pick up at the airport. It is a very annoying situation and we have to move a lot faster in cutting down some of these things.”

An Ondo state High Court sitting in Akure has sentenced Seidu Adeyemi to die by hanging for killing Khadijat Oluboyo, daughter of former deputy governor of Ondo State.

Adeyemi was charged for killing his girlfriend, Khadijat Oluboyo, on July 2, 2018 and burying her inside his room at Aratusi, Oke-Aro area of Akure.

Khadijat was a final year student of Adekunle Ajasin University in Akungba Akoko (AAUA) until her death.
