PoliticsReno Omokri reacts to President Buhari's re-election by reicherMan(op): 11:02am On Feb 27, 2019
Reno Omokri has reacted to news of President Buhari's victory in the 2019 election.

1-Dear President @MBuhari,

Congratulations on your stolen mandate. You DID NOT win an election. You won a selection, but lost integrity. I congratulate you for your theft. If God spares my life and yours, I will torment you every step of the way

2-Congrats for revealing your true nature. There is now no difference between you and the politicians you look down on with disdain. You are corrupt, like them. You rig, like them (only less intelligently). Unlike them, you pretend to be a saint

3-How are you better than Shagari you overthrew? You rigged worse than him. You are more corrupt than him. Your handling of the economy is worse than his to the extent investors removed ₦85 billion from the economy when your win was imminent

4-To those @OfficialAPCNg leaders now celebrating, exactly what are you celebrating? The next 4 years will see you get poorer. When you beg China for loans, remember that Nigeria’s poverty is self induced. @MBuhari is a magnet for EXTREME POVERTY

5-Finally, on behalf of the people of Borno and Yobe, who MIRACULOUSLY doubled their voter turnout despite being war ravaged, I hereby declare you, @MBuhari the President-Select by the majority of rigged votes. What you have is a LEPROUS mandate

PoliticsPres. Buhari Thanks Millions Nigerians Who Voted For Him (full Text) by reicherMan(op): 6:32am On Feb 27, 2019
Re-elected President of the Federal Republic of NIGERIA, Muhammadu Buhari thanks Nigerians who voted for him, also promise to keep keep effort on Restructuring, Economic and fighting corruption.

His statement:

My Dear Nigerians,

First and foremost, I give thanks to Almighty God Who has spared our lives to witness another victory for Nigerian democracy and victory for our party APC.

2. I thank the millions of Nigerians who voted to re-elect me as your president for the next four years. I am deeply humbled and profoundly grateful to you for judging me worthy of continuing to serve you and for your peaceful conduct.

3. In particular, I would like to thank Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for his masterful leadership as Co-chair of the Campaign Council. I would like to also thank the Party Chairman Adams Oshiomhole, the Director General of the Campaign Council Rotimi Amaechi, all members of the Presidential Campaign Council and other various Support Groups.

4. My grateful thanks to all those who contributed to the logistical expenses of the campaign in such a vast country like Nigeria.

5. I also thank the millions of volunteers, self-appointed overseers, canvassers, agents, escorts and sentries who sacrificed so much of their time and resources to ensure the success of these elections. I do not have the words adequate to thank them.

6. Although Saturday’s elections were relatively peaceful, troublemakers in a handful of states attempted to disrupt an otherwise orderly process. Security agencies will bring to justice all those arrested in the process.

7. I am very sad at the grievous loss of lives during these elections. Security agencies will step up their efforts to protect voters in the forthcoming State elections.

8. I would like to commend our security agencies, as severely overstretched as they are, for handling the difficult task of securing the country during the election period.

9. I will like to make a special appeal to my supporters not to gloat or humiliate the opposition. Victory is enough reward for your efforts.

10. We give thanks also to our Domestic and International observers for contributing to the success of our elections and for their interest in our country and our developing democracy.

11. The new Administration will intensify its efforts in Security, Restructuring the Economy and Fighting Corruption. We have laid down the foundation and we are committed to seeing matters to the end. We will strive to strengthen our unity and inclusiveness so that no section or group will feel left behind or left out.

12. I thank you for your support and may God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria

CrimeDismissed Soldier, 16 Others Paraded For Robbery, Rape (photo) by reicherMan(op): 5:00pm On Feb 05, 2019
The FCT Police Command has paraded 17 suspects including a dismissed soldier for various crimes including armed robbery, rape and fraud in the capital city.

While parading the suspects, the FCT Commissioner of Police, Bala Ciroma, said the success recorded by the command was as a result of aggressive intelligence gathering, raid of identified black spots and criminal hideouts, diligent investigation of cases, foot and motorised patrols, conduct of stop and search operations and community engagement.

He said the command arrested one Goodluck Onyewenyi, 40, for fraudulently opening a bank account with the name of a patient suffering from kidney failure and in dire need of financial assistance to undergo kidney transplant.

“The suspect, who happens to be a family friend to the patient took advantage of the relationship to write to wealthy individuals, corporate organisations and highly placed government officials for financial assistance.

“The suspect used a bank account he opened in the name of the patient to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.

“Preliminary investigation has revealed that the suspect uses names of patients identified to be suffering from kidney failure to solicit for financial assistance which he converts to his personal use,” he said.
The CP added that the dismissed soldier on his part was arrested for allegedly supplying firearms to three other robbery suspects who were nabbed on December 27 by police operatives on stop and search duty at Nyanya area.

The suspects are Tochukwu Nwodo, 32; Gabriel Ileso, 32 and Michael Damelak, 20, who, according to the CP, confessed during interrogation that the firearm was supplied to them by one Friday Audu, 32. They said they were going for a robbery operation when vigilant policemen arrested them.

Also, the CP said, three suspects – Ibrahim Iliya, Rilwanu Abdullahi and Victor Besini – were arrested on January 8 by operatives attached to the command’s Safer Highway Patrol Team on duty at Yangoji, Kwali in possession of an unregistered Boxer motorcycle that was later discovered to have been stolen from its owner at Kpada village two days earlier.

The owner of the recovered motorcycle, he said, is currently on admission in hospital as a result of injuries inflicted on him by the suspects, adding that the suspects are notorious for attacking their victims with dangerous weapons and inflicting injuries on them.

Three other suspects, Sunday Abraham, Sunday Obi and Tochukwu Chibuike, were also arrested for allegedly robbing a woman in Lugbe area of the FCT and raping her. Responding to questions from journalists, the suspects all admitted to robbing the woman, with Abraham and Obi also admitting to have raped their victim.

The dismissed soldier, while responding to questions, however denied supplying the firearms to the robbery suspects but admitted ownership of one of the firearms and the military kits found in their possession. He said one of the suspects, Nwodo, took the gun from his bag.

Politics10,000 Prostitutes Storm Abuja In Support Of Atiku, To Declare Free Sex by reicherMan(op): 4:26pm On Feb 05, 2019
No fewer than 10,000 members of the National Association of Nigerian Prostitutes, NANP, on Tuesday stormed Abuja, the nation’s capital ahead of the February 16 presidential and National Assembly elections.

The group vowed to mobilize its members across the country for the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Secretary General of the group, Sandra Efosa, said they settled for Atiku after studying his policy documents carefully for several weeks.

Efosa said under the current government, their ”bed-to-wealth” has suffered low patronage due to harsh economy.

“Hi Bro, just entered Abuja with my President, Madam Tamar Tion and 10,000 other members ahead of the presidential election to declare our support for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

“We shall be mobilizing our members across the country to work for the election of the PDP candidate. I shall let you know of our next step,” Efosa said in a message sent to our reporter on Whatsapp.

When prodded further if the association would be declaring ”free sex” like they did in 2015, Efosa said, “of course, that is our tradition but I will issue a comprehensive statement on why we settled for Atiku having endorsed Bukola Saraki earlier,” she added.

The Bus Conductors Association of Nigeria (BCAN) has promised to mobilise more than six million votes for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari during the February 16 presidential election.

Israel Adeshola, National President of the association, made the promise on Tuesday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.

Mr Adeshola said the association stands for good governance and corruption-free leadership, adding that it would strive for the president’s re-election.

“We have mobilised all our members nationwide and other artisans in affiliation with the Buhari Campaign Organisation (BCO) toward the elections.

“We are promising President Buhari of our votes with other artisans affiliated to BCAN, numbering over six million members nationwide,” he said.

The BCAN president also urged the electorate to shun vote selling so as to ensure better tomorrow for the coming generations.

“I urge the electorate not to sell their votes unless you do not want better tomorrow for your children.

“We must beware of gifts because behind the facade of that gift lies monstrous and devious plan to mortgage your future and that of the coming generations,” he said.

PoliticsTruck Loaded With INEC Materials Allegedly Impounded In Cross River by reicherMan(op): 4:41pm On Jan 11, 2019
A truck with registration no, UNN 148 XA allegedly loaded with INEC ballot papers and other materials has been intercepted in Ogoja Local Government Area of Cross River State.

The truck was intercepted by an unnamed Taskforce on Thursday afternoon along Ogoja-Abakiliki Road, Egbung, in Ogoja LGA, while trying to convey the ballot materials to an unknown destination.

An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity alleged that the truck was intercepted during a routine stop and search of vehicles by members of the task force. “When the truck was opened, it was loaded with unused ballot papers belonging to Boki Local Government for 2015 State Constituency election, as well as computer hard drives and other secretariat documents.

“The driver said he had the authority of INEC to move them from Calabar where he claimed he was coming from. But he wasn’t sure where he was going. He first said he was going to INEC headquarters in Abuja.

”He later said he was going from LGA to LGA to mop them up. Not long after, he said he was going to Abakaliki, then lastly claimed that he was only moving them to Onitsha for one Emmanuel Kalu, who is the buyer. So it was obvious that something is fishy and the truck has been arrested by the youths,” our source stated.

When newsmen contacted the Resident Electoral Commissioner for Cross River Dr. Frankland Briyai, he said that the Commission (INEC) did not sell ballot papers but obsolete INEC materials.

Reacting to the news of an impounded truck with obsolete INEC materials and some 2015 ballot papers, Dr Briyar said sometime last year, they had a lot of obsolete materials and someone came and bought them off but they did not include any ballot papers.

According to him, the said truck was stopped at a security checkpoint in Ogoja area of Cross River and on further checks; it was revealed that the truck had some obsolete INEC materials and 2015 ballot papers, so the security officials raised the alarm.

He said the commission would investigate the matter and ensure that those found culpable would go in for it as the commission does not sell ballot papers even if they were old.

“I had a call from some security operatives that they impounded a truck at Ogoja with some useless papers and 2015 ballot papers. First, I asked the lady in charge of the ballot if she knew anything about ballot papers going out and she said no.

“I have notified the security agencies including the police and Department of State Security (DSS). I don’t know what they will find out, I have also alerted my headquarters”, he said.

When DAILY POST contacted the Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO) Ms Irene Ugbo, she said, Ii is confirmed but INEC was expecting materials, “It was actually going to INEC office in Calabar.

“INEC was aware, what they say is that they normally move their materials at night and it was intercepted because the security personnel needed to be sure of what the vehicle was conveying.

“It wasn’t a stolen material, nobody has been arrested, no vehicle was impounded, INEC was expecting the truck and the materials, it is neither a case of stealing nor impounding of vehicle, not at all,” she stated.

PoliticsTambuwal: How I Rejected Bribe From Buhari, APC Government by reicherMan(op): 2:10pm On Jan 11, 2019
The Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal has disclosed how he rejected a bribe from the All Progressives Congress, APC, in a bid to stop him from defecting to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Tambuwal disclosed that the APC-led Federal Government “hurriedly packaged” a road construction project in his village as a way of preventing him from dumping the ruling party.

He made the disclosure at a rally in Silame area of the state while flagging-off PDP campaigns.

The former PDP Presidential aspirant insisted that the hunger in the country was due to the incompetence of President Buhari led administration.

He assured that PDP would win every available position in the state to punish the APC for its hatred for the people.

According to Tambuwal: “When they realised I was about to leave the APC, they hurriedly packaged a road contract in my village to plead with me not to leave. We cannot continue to tolerate a government that has abandoned its people.

”The APC hates to invest in our people. Sokoto state will punish the APC at the elections. We will mobilise our people to come out enmasse to vote for PDP. We don’t make empty boasts like our opponents.

“Sokoto is a PDP state, there is no doubt about that. No matter what some propagandists may say, this state will be delivered to PDP 100 percent. How can anyone claim that 50,000 of our solid and faithful members defected to APC in the small courtyard of Senator Wamakko.

”We cannot be detained by the past, especially by those who plundered the state resources and wanted us to keep quiet. By the special grace of Allah, there will be no retreat, no surrender. We will not surrender our state to people who do not mean well for our people.

”Why Yari should take his empty seat home Noting what he described as his refusal to plunder the economy of the state as reportedly done by his predecessor. Our opponents are angry because we have refused to open the treasury to service so-called godfathers and their thugs.

”Our mandate is with the electorates and we will do everything humanly possible to deliver on our campaign promises without equivocation.

”We are doing everything within our powers to ensure that we forestall the incursion of any armed banditry that has continued to ravage our sister Zamfara state. Our hearts and support are for our neighbours always.”
