He thought he's risen but his downfall will be disastrous.

The system is bad already. There is no consequences for wrong doings in these country from top to bottom, hence the reason why people's indulgence in corruption, wrong doings, evil, etc.

Until there is a consequence for wrong doing, there's no hope in this country, cos there will always be people that will compromise the development of the system.
