Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, the fiery Enugu Catholic Priest, has apologized and prayed for the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, according to Daily Post.

Mbaka made the apology after declaring that Peter Obi can never be Nigeria’s President.

He had during his latest ministration at the Adoration ground said that unless God ceases to exist, Obi would never smell the seat of the President adding that it was better to have an old man as President than a ‘stingy young man’.

The comment by the Catholic priest had stirred diverse reactions from Nigerians who accused him of hating Peter Obi because he refused to donate to his church.

However, the cleric in a statement he personally signed said he had no intention to malign His Excellency, Peter Obi’s image but to pray for him

He, therefore, apologized to Peter Obi and his supporters and paid that God will bless them.

”I am grateful to God for His unquantifiable and favourable blessings, miracles, love and life for the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Nigeria.

I assure the people of God and Nigerians that I am praying for Good Governance and Good Leadership in this country and that God will give us leaders after His own Heart.

”As it stands right now, it is obvious that Nigeria is passing through indescribable insecurity challenges, an inestimable unemployment crisis, massive corruption, heinous crimes, and unbearable suffering engendered by bad leadership. I bear with my fellow countrymen and women in whatever we are passing through in this trying time. I call on the adorers and the entire people of God to join hands in praying that God will deliver us from the plans of the devil and its wicked agents.

”I am a servant of God and my intention is not to malign His Excellency, Peter Obi’s image, but to pray for him. May God’s will be done in his life. I pray to God whom I serve to give our beloved people good and excellent leaders who will take care of them and lead them to the promised land. Anyone who God wishes to make our Leader is my choice. Former presidential media aide during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has called out Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi over the action of his supporters.

According to Omokri, the supporters of the former Anambra State Governor have been insulting him and Obi has just been watching them without taking any action.

He added that the supporters have also been insulting the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar.

Omokri in a Twitter post on Wednesday in which he lamented the development also alleged that Obi had lobbied him in 2019 when he wanted to become the running mate to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

Apostle Johnson Suleman, founder of the Omega Fire Ministries has sent a warning to people using health status to mock others.

In a Twitter post on Wednesday, the man of God warned agains insulting people based on their health challenge.

Even though he didn’t mention, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress who had battled health issues, many knew that his message was directed at the presidential candidate.

Tinubu had in different videos left tongues wagging with his shaky hands, and even drained agbada.

The deadline given by INEC to all candidate to produce their running mate is drawing near and the rate at which all candidates are searching for their running mate is so commendable.

In compliance to this, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the composition of a committee to screen Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, his Delta State counterpart, Ifeanyi Okowa and others as possible vice president nominees.

Recall that former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar emerged the party’s 2023 presidential candidate in a keenly contested National Convention last month.

However, the INEC last week announced Friday, 17th June 2022, as the deadline for political parties to submit names of presidential candidates and their running mates.

Consequently, the PDP as contained in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, Wednesday, constituted the Vice Presidential Candidate Screening Committee (VPSC).


According to the statement,

“pursuant to Part VI, Paragraph 14 of the Electoral Guidelines of our great Party, the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) has approved the nomination of the following Party members to serve on the Vice Presidential Candidate Screening Committee for the screening/verifying of the nominated Vice Presidential Candidate of our Party for the 2023 general elections”.

PDP appointed High Chief Tom Ikimi as Chairman and made Dr. Akilu Indabawa the Secretary.

Other members of the PDP VPSC include: former governor of Kogi State, Capt. Idris I. Wada (rtd), former minister of aviation, Chief Osita Chidoka, Rt. Hon. Binta Bello, Chief Mrs. Alh. President Buhari’s former aide, Bashir Ahmad, has reacted to reports that Labour Party, LP, collapsed its structure into the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ekiti State.

The former Personal Assistant on New Media to the president urged LP to collapse its national structure and work with APC ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Reports claimed that LP has promised to work with APC’s governorship candidate, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji in the governorship election in Ekiti State.

Residents of Ekiti State will file out to vote their next governor next week.

However, the former Presidential aide described the merger of LP and APC as a good thing to do.

In a tweet, Ahmad wrote: “Just read that the Labour Party has collapsed its Ekiti State structure into the APC with a promised to work assiduously for the victory of Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji in next week’s guber election.

A cow has been arrested by the South Sudanese authorities for killing a 12-year-old boy.

Police said they detained the cow along with its owner after the animal allegedly attacked the child near a farm in the Lakes State.

It’s been reported that the child was killed instantly due to the ferocity of the attack.

Major Elijah Mabor, a South Sudanese police spokesman, has confirmed that the animal is “under arrest”.

He said: “The bull is now under arrest at a police station in Rumbek Central County.

“The boy was taken to hospital for post-mortem and he was taken home for burial.”

Just a month ago, a ram was arrested and charged with the murder of a 45-year-old woman in South Sudan. The cow was then sentenced to three years in jail .

A Nigerian man identified as Yinka Oyewusi has revealed his reasons for resigning from his ministry at Winners Chapel to become a ‘babalawo’

The ex-cleric claimed he received occasional visits from spiritual entities who told him that he was born to be a native doctor and as such, should not abandon his purpose.

The forces showed their powers when he attempted to resist by attacking his family.

The cleric wrote:

“In my formative years, we were three fiery brothers practising Christianity in Iwo town — two of us very poor, but with strange will to survive. After secondary education and with nothing to live for, first among us was a talented beggar.

As the second guy, my mother is late, and my father’s whereabout was unknown. So, the first guy and I were living in one of the three houses I knew belonged to the father of the 3rd guy, but the father didn’t care about the 3rd guy, though.

The first guy is a genius in gathering monies through request for “urgent 2k” — we lived on this for years.

Miraculously, I and the 3rd guy obtained degrees in science and administration respectively; the first guy obtained a degree in theology and became the chaplain of a university Chapel.

But those days as a fiery Christian, I lost 40% of my hearing. The last time I visited the first guy of a chaplain, he needed me to source urgent 5k for him. Just this morning, the 3rd guy called me that he has bone fractures and is receiving treatment at the Ogbomosho general hospital.

He needs money at least for feeding, but none is forthcoming. Let me add that the first guy is in Baptist, I was in Winners Chapel while the 3rd guy is a Mountain of Fire adherent.

Then I joined the ministry in Winners Chapel. Oratory is still my best physical gift — those in Winners Chapel Adeeke, Iwo in 2005 will remember me by the name Yinka.

I had studied the scriptures from “paali to paali”; prayer sessions I handled those days looked like wartime events. While in the university, I was sent to pastor a new church in another town and did so successfully.

But when I started full-time ministry, what you would usually call hosts of hell came banging at my door. They would tell me what would happen the following day and they would come to pass. They would tell me Mr A was at my door while I was still sleeping by 6:30am and that would be so

Later, those spirits told me why I am on earth, and if I neglect my path, I would regret being born. They said I’m a Babalawo by design. I quickly went on overdrive binding “thoughts that may setup their selves against God’s knowledge and every disobedience…”

Then I would hear strange laughter of a group of persons suggesting the spirits were many. Then I traveled to see a primary school mate who is making waves as a general overseer of a church. All his prayers or deliverance made no difference.

Then voices started threatening me and commanded me to go to a village whose name I never heard hitherto saying that someone is waiting for me there. I googled the name of the town and I found it. I went there because previous messages didn’t fail.

I met the person and the priestess gave a stern warning that refusing to work for the gods would be a deadly decision. I accepted the calling right away.

But divination is not that easy to learn. I know someone who spent eight years on it. I became a pro within five months by some rare twists of events and within nine months, I became a full-blown Babalawo.

I’m tempted to say that Christians practice something different from what the Bible taught me. In 2020, my daughter was on life support at Bowen University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomosho. The bills were clearly beyond what my 50k salary could handle.

I requested for help from the church hierarchy by calling the district pastor, and he said I should follow a correct route in channelling my request. I replied that I first of all called the area pastor who directed me and gave me his number to call. The district pastor started sounding offensive. That was why I went to nairaland and made a thread for help.

Someone I met online sent huge amount of money to me in the following thread to clear hospital bills.

I tendered a resignation letter in Winners Chapel in 2021 with two weeks notice. Before the notice elapsed and till today, I never heard anything from them about my resignation. But when the district church mistakenly paid a sum of money into my bank account after I had left (that money ought to be sent to the current pastor of the church) I told the accountant and he asked me to refund it immediately.

While working there, I never had any history of misconduct. They treated me as though I never existed; that action reduced me to a new low, lower than the basest of animals…

The following advice is indispensable: life is not all about money; you’re here on a certain assignment”

A woman who reportedly survived the massacre that took place at St Francis Catholic Church, Owo has given her testimony on her birthday.

Recall that many people were killed during the massacre inside a church on Sunday.

Friends have also taken to her Facebook page to thank God for her life.

Sharing her testimony on her birthday, Stephanie Ajibo Olitex wrote:

“We were inside the church when they started shooting from the outside. People at the back started running towards the altar. Some jumped fence, our priest escaped through the sacristy with the help of our catechist.

By the time I ran towards the Sacristy door, it was already locked by members who were able to reach there before me. I had to hide myself under the cupboard inside the choir room with the baby in my hand. He shot somebody right in front of me near the Sacristy door. He looked around, when he didn’t see anybody or sound, he went away. He was on mask, loaded with Ak 47.

Note that the distance between the heavily loaded gunman and me was like kitchen to dinning. Our choir master who was hiding with us was shot on his chest before he ran into the room with us. I pray he survives the bullet.

They killed children, youths and elderly. We’ve recorded almost 100 death and still counting..I came out alive and escaped through the fence that demarcated our church from the Palace of Olowo of Owo Kingdom and ran to the palace for the fear of the unknown. The baby with me is safe, I’m also safe.

A Ghanaian herbalist identified as Nana Adu-Boafo has exposed a man who attempted to use his daughter for money rituals.

The man had taken his daughter to the traditionalist and asked that ritual rites be performed with her life for him to become rich.

However, Adu-Boafo who shared the story on his Facebook page, saw the wrong in his request and secretly called Ghana police to get the man arrested.

A Nigerian employer has narrated his experience with a female staff who allegedly had an odd addiction to men.

He said the female worker always made up excuses for staying away from work or coming late in the morning.

On all occasions, she was scolded yet pardoned but the week after being pardoned, she arrives late again for work with the excuse of dropping children at school.

Nkereuwem Emah,a 52-year-old man and father of five, has been sentenced to death by hanging for killing his pregnant wife, whom he accused of infidelity before her demise.

Nkereuwem according to Punch Newspaper, is an indigene of Ibiono Ibom local government area of Akwa Ibom State state.

Reports gathered that Emah killed his pregnant wife while she was asleep in their residence using a machete.

The Chief Judge of Uyo high court, Bassey Nkanang, found Emah guilty of killing his pregnant wife with the use of a machete after he accused her of cheating.

Three witnesses including the 10-year-old son of the suspect and demised testified against him. With that, the judge found him guilty of the charges raised against him and sentenced him to death by hanging.


The suspect had earlier told the Police that he used a machete to kill his wife because he was informed by someone that she sleeps with one of his neighbours anytime he wasn’t around.
