NOTABLE CHANGES ON THE NEW CAC DOCUMENTS & E-Certificate.

Countless time, I have had arguments with clients after we deliver their certificate to them, they claim that it is different from the old certificate and all their nature of business is not written on their certificate for those who register under the business name category.

As an Expert, I had to take my time to explain to them that there has been an upgrade and changes on the new cac documents.

For new emerging entrepreneurs, and startup, kindly take note of the changes in the new cac documents below.

A major and remarkable feature of the new system introduced by CAC is the E-certificate. January 2021, the commission adopted issuance of E-certificate as against the former manual system where we have to walk into their physical office to pick up certificate of registrations and incorporation for our clients.
How it works now
Upon completion of your company and business registration, the certificate is automatically generated to our accredited dashboard where we download at our convenience.

 The CAC logo at the top is now changed to the Nigerian Coat of Arms for all entities.
 The CAC logo is moved down to the bottom of the certificate as a SEAL + a QR code
 For Incorporated Trustee, i.e NGOs, Church, Foundation etc the notes and caution on the certificates are removed.

Introducing E-Status Report

The commission also introduced a document format called E-status report to replace the old CAC forms issued upon new registration/incorporation of all entities.

The E-status report will now replace the Form CAC 1.1 for limited company, BN 1 for Business name registration, IT form 1 for Incorporated Trustees.

Passport Photograph, signature and phone number no longer appear on the e-status report for business name.
