Family / What A Husband Told His Wife On The Night Of Their Wedding/marriage by remioshy(f): 7:25pm On Jul 01, 2016
Saw this on FB and so touched, want to share:

My wife, everyone has gone home. The music is quiet, the celebration is over. Our wedding was beautiful but it is now in the past. We have finished the wedding/ marriage ceremony and celebrations. It is now time to build our marriage. All that is left now is the two of us......,. What we will become tomorrow starts from tonight. Our life is no longer the same.
There was a day you put on a red dress..... You looked so beautiful in it. That day I wanted to touch you! We were in the cinema and I was so tempted, I wanted to just take you inside the toilet and kiss you but I couldn't. Guess what?. Now I can, I have you forever, I can do that everyday.
Before I take off your clothes and make love to you....let me tell you few things. I have nothing to hide from you from this day. My phone, you can use it like your own. You can access my Facebook, my Twitter and my Instagram.
From today, I have become a child. For the past five years of my life, I have been a man. I wake myself up in the morning, sometimes I go to bed hungry, I do things the way I want to, come home anytime I want to but all that ends today. From today, you become my mother, who will scold me when I come home late, a mother who will wake me up at six to go to work, a mother who will make sure I don't go to bed hungry. I am glad I have a mother in you.
I hope you will be a good, kind and loving mother to me? Don't be too harsh and I promise I won't be too stubborn. Sometimes I will give you headache but I promise, I will also be the cure of every headache.
When my parents died, I looked after my brothers and sisters. I was like a father to them. So I will not have a problem being a father to you.

Good day every one. I am glad to be a part of this forum. I will be applying for visitor's visa in August with family and I do hope we will be granted. We are researching so we will appreciate all the help we can get from here. I am glad that the timeline for visa has become shorter than before- That indeed is good news. But I want to appeal that those that submitted their applications, especially recently, let us know what documents they submitted and the outcome of the applications. Remioshy, Nam 16, and Akmusty, we do appeal that you let us know the details of what you submitted and the outcome, thank you.

Will sure do when I get the passport and share all doc submitted.

Estimated/average processing time has been coming down lately, it is at 49 days currently. That could signal an advantage for you, maybe!

Processing time is faster now, I just read of someone who did biometrics on 1st June as myself says he got email on 28th that his passport is returned, this made me go back through my mail and I saw they have sent me email on 21st of June that my passport returned, just after 20 days, scared now to go pick, why so quick, hope all is well sha

Health / Re: My Phobia Story by remioshy(f): 4:31pm On Jun 30, 2016
sumborri:
My other name is PHOBIA. I have all of them. It has made me live an unhappy life most times but God is on the throne. I am even capable of developing a new phobia with time. I remeber when a mother hen chased me as a child and pecked me all over my body simply because (as I thought at the time) I didn't greet her before passing. Till now as an adult, the sight of a mother hen coming with her kids from the east will make me go west, and if I have to go east in her direction I make sure I say good morning ma or good afternoon. Mi ori aye oshi.

My fear of dangerous heights and claustrophobia is the worst. I believe that's how I will enventually die. From being locked up in a car booth or any enclosed space. I shall definitely not make it out alive

I feel you oo, I have a terrible phobia for close space, you won't catch me in a lift on my own, I have climbed 16 stories building just go avoid going in lift, or sometimes I hang around for people to go in lift with and I jump out wherever folks they get out to avoid being left alone and use stairs to complete the rest, it's a really bad condition , it limits activities and fun sometimes, even in public toilet I don't close the door, just use hand hold the door , in trains or coaches I make sure I go to toilet before boarding as I won't use toilet on board cos of too ting closed space. I hear cognitive behaviour therapy can help with phobias. I once turned down a job when I got to the building and discovered I will be going in the lift , I turned back , that's how bad it is. Well both of you, I have to be very sincere with you? Don't fall into preying eyes of dupes, my friend in Texas would be coming home soon and he also asked me about it and I told hi categorically. It's NOT possible without you been present to capture and do biometrics. Except u fall into fake people's hand.

The only help I can do for you is the same my friend wants to do, if anytime you come to Nigeria I can take you to a Road safety office where I know some people so when you get it done and all, it comes out maximum of 1 or 2month as at the time I did mine but don't know how long it comes out, so if luckily you in Nigeria and get it done I can help you pick them up and send it down to you over where ever you are. But if there's anyone who says you can get the new drivers license without you present to capture and go for biometrics my friends. Take a walk. E no possible

Thanks, I have got to know this is the case as well. Will do it whenever in the country. Thanks

Good day,

Title pretty much sums it up. I need to get a new Nigerian Drivers license, but I am abroad, so cant be present in issuing office.

If anyone can do so for a fee, would be great.

ATTENTION: I am looking to obtain original license only. I do not need fake ones.

Thank you

@op, I'm in same situation, will link you to know if you do get it done so I can do mine.

Hello everyone,

Please I applied and did biometrics on 1st of June and the info I got was it will take 65 days, but reading through this thread it seems people are waiting longer and may affect me too, I have a ticket to travel to uk Aug 14th, I am to go to Canada from uk if given the visa, but now I'm scared my passport may still be with them when the time comes, I want to know when I should request back my passport if I've heard nothing, should I wait a week or two before I'm to travel and what is the procedure for withdrawing passport and how long it takes for it to be returned to vfs office for me to pick up.

Thanks

My dear, I will advice you to have another child now, waiting 3 or more years , you never know, a woman's fertility is a bit unpredictable, I had a friend who mistakenly Got pregnant while we were at uni, she wanted to get rid but her mother did not let her, she had the child and after two years got pregnant for same guy but got rid cos she wanted to have a career, by then she was 25, two years after she started having irregular periods, series of tests, in short she was diagnosed as having primary ovarian failure- menopause at 27, She is in her 40's now , she always bless her mother for not letting her get rid of d baby then, dats her only child today, what am saying is , and this I will say to my own daughter when you start having children, then have the numbers you want as quick as u can, not too much delay or gap , anything can happen with fertility for no reason. Cheers

Sorry about such experience and congrats.

The story would have sounded nicer to me if you had gotten some thugs to beat him up well with a good belt and whip and probably break like 3- 4 fingers, he would surely think twice before beating up another woman just cos he feels she is at his mercy.
grin grin grin grin I'm sure that would have been soooo good, it never occurred to me then that I could get back my own on him that way , I would have sooo loved it to get him beaten up by men his size. Lol. Thanks

Domestic abuse has been happening years and years ago, I prayed women will wise up and leave such relationships, I had the courage to leave an abusive relationship when I got lucky to be given another chance at living. I had been in an abusive relationship with my then boyfriend for about 2 years, he was so controlling , I was young and in love, he always beats me at every argument or provocation, I kept it to myself, I got pregnant for him in my final year at the university, heavily pregnant, he still beats me, but belts me on my legs and says you can beat a pregnant woman but only on her legs, I could not tell my mum because she didn't like him at all , I had a child for him and he still continues, I was scared to leave him cos I thot who will marry me now with a child, the last time he beat me, he was so angry he grabbed a plank and bang on my head, I woke up in hospital, his cousins took me there and they told the doctors I fell off the stairs, I realised there and then that if I don't leave him he will kill me one day, if I had died that day, his family would have covered for him, I didn't care anymore what people will say or who will marry me, I grabbed my child and left him, told him it was over and never to come near me again, I removed his name from my child and made sure he won't be able to find us. It's been 20 years now and I never regretted leaving him. Anytime I hear of such abuse I always remember him and what a lucky escape for me. Women should be courageous to walk away from a violent and abusive man or relationship. It's just not worth it, for the children and for them
