kabillionaire:Good question! They're claiming it's ECOWAS whereas many ECOWAS countries including Mali, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Niger, Liberia and Chad are against it. So, let them answer who is "ECOWAS" ![]() |
Thislifesef:Shut up, I'm also Chinese .99% of those supporting this senseless war are yorubas. If you're supporting it then you're most likely Yoruba! |
Why won't yorubas support the war when Lagos and there entire region is far removed from it. They have absolutely nothing to lose but everything to gain if North collapses. All the major Northern cities and infrastructure including Kano, Abuja, Kaduna, Sokoto, Maiduguiri etc are all within range of short to medium range missiles fired from Niger republic. When millions of refugees start running from Niger republic, they will first overwhelm North. When Niger republic becomes another failed country like Libya, it is North that will suffer the most. Unfortunately, Northern Muslims don't even know who their real enemy is |
Okay, it seems the Northerners are finally waking up. To understand the hidden agenda of those hypocrites promoting this senseless war on brothers, bring same war against Benin republic with South West as the war front and see them condemn it. But they're the ones telling Northerners to accept it, that it's ECOWAS war ![]() |
Thislifesef:That's what you guys are telling the Hausas, Fulanis and Kanuris in both countries so they won't understand what is going on. Anyways, this situation will prove if indeed they're wise or dum.b. Even you yorubas will never accept this war if it were to occur between the borders of South West and Benin republic. But you're here telling them to accept it, that it's in their best interest ![]() |
Afamed:Lol, Yorubas can be very funny. Only unintelligent people will be deceived with what is happening. Now tell me, how is it ECOWAS war when ECOWAS members including Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Guinea and Chad are against the war? Is ECOWAS only for Nigeria, Ghana, and Benin? Even George Weah of Liberia has warned against war! France with support of United States are pushing Tinubu to fight this war because it's a threat to France and its economic survival. They're probably using blackmail too. Again, tell me, if Nigeria withdraws from this war, will the other so-called ECOWAS countries go ahead? |
What started like a bad joke is about to become reality. The Nigeria vs. Niger war is about to commence as the France/West side led by Nigeria says the " -Day" is set. The Russo/Niger side also seem ready to counter any offensive by the invading forces. The military junta in Niamey has moved their families out of the country. Also, there is ongoing recruitment of civilians as standby force. Uncomfirmed reports also claimed that large number of Wagner fighters are crossing the border from neighboring Mali into Niger. France is determined to win this war because it will have huge implications for them. If they lose out in Niger, it will have a ripple effect on all their former colonies in West Africa and beyond, whom they've been exploiting for ages. Some reports claimed that without dirtcheap resources and funds from these African countries, that France will eventually become a third world country! So, it becomes obvious why they're hell-bent on removing the military rulers in Niger that are now threatening to cut off their source of cheap sustainance. This war appears to be another global war similar to the one occuring in Ukraine. Unfortunately for the people of Niger, they're going to suffer the way Ukrainians have been suffering. Their land is going to be devastated. However, they're somewhat better than Ukraine in the sense that there isn't much on ground to be destroyed when compared to Ukraine where multi-billion dollars worth of infrastructure has been destroyed including entire cities and costly infrastructure. Nigeria might even end up suffering more than Niger itself considering that millions of refugees will be heading this way and the cost of war will also impact adversely on an economy that is already in coma. Some ignorant people have said it's not Nigeria vs Niger, but rather ECOWAS. How can it be ECOWAS war when several ECOWAS countries including Mali, Burkina Faso, Guinea and Chad are not in support? Even Algeria that is bordering Niger is against the war. One indisputable fact is that the military rulers of Niger are enjoying mass local support. History has proven that when locals are united against an invading army, it doesn't end well for the Invaders, no matter how strong they might be. Examples abound, such as Russia/Afghanistan, United States/Afghanistan, Japan/China etc. These countries invaders despite being overwhelmingly stronger eventually left in disgrace. Would the situation repeat itself in Niger? Which side do you think will win this proxy war? |
Lol, is it the same issese Fulani rulers of Illorin banned or another one? The fulanis even called it idolatry ![]() If issese is such a revered traditional culture in yorubaland, to the Lagos and Oyo had to declare public holiday, why then did they keep quiet when fulani emir of Illorin banned it? Why haven't they shouted ronu since the fulanis kept demonising it, calling it idol worshipping? God, IBB is very correct about this people. No wonder they're the only tribe to lose their territories to another tribe in modern history. What a big shame!!! |
Cooly100:Igbos never supported Ebola and we have been justified for rejecting him in the first place. However, it is some Northerners that support him thereby giving him the opportunity to yorubanize Nigeria. So, if they like, let them confront him or not. That's their business. |
Throwback:A Northerner accused Tinubu of bigotry but instead of challenging him, you started mentioning Igbos and Jonathan. You don't even have the courage to accuse Buhari. No wonder Fulanis conquered Illorin and banned issese yoruba tradition. Spits. |
Ibadanpikin:Lol, I pity those taking statisense serious. Two Yorubas operating a cybercafe in mushin decided to call themselves statisense and began to dish out all manner of concotted rubbish. Last time, same dubious statisense released what they called number of poor people per square kilometer. Does such trash even make sense? Reputable data organizations will inform you how they arrived at their statistics but this backyard Yahoo boys called statinonsense will never tell you how they got their data. Of course, they pulled it from their asss! |
EnterDem02:Lol, fake news as usual from tribalistic mushroom statinonsense. Only yorubas take those clowns serious because they're just used for propaganda. The funny thing is that those clowns behind statinonsense are poorly educated. At least, if you want to operate a propaganda machinery, you make use of sound intellectuals not dumbos. Ask those olodos which tribe is called Edo in Nigeria ![]() |
KwuoteYourFada:So, that's the werey emir of Illorin picked up from Ibadan? He even looks like a skull miner. No wonder, the fulani rulers banned isese paganism in Illorin 😂😂😂😂 |
Savagery101:😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Hahahaha, laugh wan kill me die. Pure slave and master relationship ![]() |
Asgard73:Lol, na today. Illorin has forever become fulani heritage. And if the capital is theirs, it means the entire state is too because the emir's authority is higher than any other traditional ruler there! As for Lagos, it's only a matter of how soon. Emir of Lagos already exists and even Sanwo olu pays him official visits. It's really a thing of shame that those who cry ronu over businessmen and investors in their midst would go silent when the real landgrabbers are seizing control of their territories one after another. Cowards 😂😂😂 |
Okay, I heard that isese worshipers are called pagans in Illorin. The fulani emir in Illorin even banned the activity there. A Yoruba man who insulted the emir in Ibadan over it was picked up and sent to Illorin to serve his due punishment. Even Soyinka was humbled when he tried to question the authority of the fulani emir of Illorin. Since then, the old man kept quiet. Slave and master relationship 😂😂😂 |
orohbirodeysmel:You mean those Yorubas he convinced to attack Igbos and Igbo looking Nigerians just for him to emerge were scammed? |
Naijaboy18:I'm in the East. I can't live in your rusted dungeon ![]() |
Just like other bewildered Nigerians, I watched how Yorubas shouted ronu while supporting Tinubu. They made it seem like Tinubu becoming president will bring great things to Yorubas. Today, the SW is affected just like every other region in Nigeria. Everyone is suffering including Yorubas. Even Illorin couldn't be saved as Yorubas were banned from practicing isese, their cultural heritage. So, if Tinubu can't even save Yorubas in Illorin or restore their dignity there, what is the benefit for shouting ronu and fighting other Nigerians so that Tinubu can become president?! |
WhisperedNoise:Okay. You can only say that on nairaland. Go to Illorin or even anywhere in the SW and say it openly and see if you will return home. Your brother that insulted the great emir of Illorin has been picked up in Ibadan and forcefully brought to Illorin to serve his punishment 😂😂😂😂. You people must learn how to respect the emir by fire by force. |
Femmyfamous4u:The great emir didn't bother again after Soyinka was humbled by his boys. The question you should rather ask is, why did Soyinka suddenly go mute even after they ridiculed him severally 😂😂 |
Ebubu3:Soludo also bannished ipob in Anambra. Uzodinma also bannished them in Imo. Mbah equally bannished them in Enugu. So, you see why you're not making sense? The sad truth you've refused to accept is that Illorin is forever gone. It has become a Fulani town just like any other town in the NW. Pele o😂😂 |
Tochi3:Lol, you know misery likes company. That's why he is trying to compare situations that aren't even related in any way. Meanwhile, are you aware that emir of Illorin has just arrested a Yoruba man that overstepped his bounds in Ibadan, and haf him brought back to Illorin to serve his punishment ![]() |
Ebubu3:You're making a mistake here. There is no comparison at all. The situation in Rivers State is just politics. Almost every tribe there bears the tag ethnic nationality. Kalahari, Ogoni, Etche, Ikwerre, Okrika etc. They still know within them where they belong. However, in Illorin, it's a master/slave relationship. One class is the master while the other are his subjects. The fulani overlords banned isese paganism in Illorin. The fulani emir even arrested one yoruba man that overstepped his bounds in Ibadan and had him brought back to Illorin to serve his punishment??!!! How can you compare such situations ![]() ? |
Lol, they're making noise because of Ebola but they fail to realize that even if a lion broke his leg, it doesn't mean an antelope will try to touch its tail. They've tried severally to question the authority of their fulani overlords in the past and failed miserably, I don't see how this one will be any different. |
Omo, this is serious. He was arrested in Ibadan and taken back to Illorin??!!! Wow, the emir of Illorin is so powerful he can pick up anyone that insult him in any state of SW. No wonder Soyinka kept quiet and didn't say anything further when they humbled him. Pure levels!!!! |
Hahahaha 😂😂😂😂😂 Hahahaha 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Hahahaha 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 Story of slaves and their masters ![]() I didn't mention anyone but watch how the slaves will attack me now ![]() |
Ogene001:If you study Nigeria, you will discover that our problem in Nigeria is actually Islam. Igbos are the face of Christianity in Nigeria, a religion Muslims hate. That's why we don't get along with Hausa and Fulanis, while Yoruba Muslims capitalize on that to sabotage us in everything. The SS minorities are not our problem, our population and human resources development will make it difficult for them to be a threat to us, even if they wish to. Adding them as adversaries will only complicate things for us. |
Ogene001:SW is the only region in Nigeria without cities. What they have is glorified slums. I was reading a book written by a British author and he stated that the only reason Awolowo built cocoa house was to give Ibadan a facelift so it won't be seen as a slum. The worst thing is that they've failed to evolve and build on awolowo's poor attempts. Abeokuta of 1969 looks almost the same with Abeokuta of 2023, a whopping 54 years later?! It's the same sorry situation in all their "cities". In 20 years time, Aba and other cities in SE will start having high-rise/skyscraper buildings but I can bet you, SW will still remain the same. |
