Family / FAMILY: 10 Awesome Ways To Show Your Kids You Love Them Every Day by remspotng: 11:52am On Oct 17, 2014
Do you miss your child during the day and wish you had more time to connect with her? Do you have multiple kids and you want to make sure all of them know that you love them a lot? Are you tight on time and wish you could take your child to do a special full day activity, but you just don’t always have that kind of time? Then this article is for you. All of these sweet ways to tell your children you love them are quick to execute, but each will make your child feel very special.

1. Notes in unexpected places.
Even if your little one can’t read yet, you can draw them a picture. Kids will love this surprise in their pocket and will treasure knowing that you planned this especially for them. Examples of places you could put them include: under their breakfast plate, in their coat pocket, in their car seat, on top of their toothbrush, folded inside their cereal bowl.

2. Stickers.
Stickers are cheap, quick, and popular with kids of all ages. Buy many sheets of stickers in advance and then put them on your kids’ shirts before they go to school. Tell them that whenever they see the sticker, they can remember that you love them!

3. Journal.
Buy a special notebook that your child picks out. Every day, write down their favorite thing they did that day. They will be able to read this over later in life and will cherish it, and best of all, it literally only takes a minute or less. If you get into the routine of doing it at the same time every day, like dinner time, it will be easy to remember.

4. “Tattoo.”
Using a ballpoint pen, draw your child a special little picture on the inside of their arm. Tell them that this is a special tattoo that shows everyone how much you love them, or for a shyer child, tell them that this is a secret tattoo that only you and her know about, that means you love them. For bonus points, let your child draw one on your arm too, so you match.

Career / 10 Career Mistakes Everyone Should Avoid by remspotng: 10:50am On Oct 17, 2014
You have decided you are going to make your mark and you will have a stellar career. That’s great, but let’s hope you avoid making these career mistakes which could shatter your dream in the long term. In order to make it to the top, here are 10 mistakes you should never make.

1. You limit your networking to inside the company.
Some employees cannot be bothered to start networking outside their company. They may be pretty friendly and helpful inside the company, but this is just the tip of the iceberg. Just think what would happen if you were not in the loop when a new acquisition was proposed. You are the production manager and because you neglected networking, you were just not on the ball. You failed to exploit your contacts outside the company to gain valuable feedback, support and knowledge of market trends and innovation. That is the value of networking, yet many managers underestimate its importance. A lot of this needs to be done offline because it is the real social contact and human interaction that counts. It will give you a chance to seize an opportunity because you have your ear to the ground.

2. You place too much importance on salary and benefits.

How does a temporary salary cut appeal to you? If you are considering a move, think of the experience rather than the money. In the long term, this will pay handsome dividends as the new job will be a challenge for you to achieve new goals. Aim to widen your skills set, broaden your responsibilities and manage teams. Think of the job satisfaction that it will give you and also how impressive it will be on your resume. Nobody will notice your salary increases.

3. You are afraid of failure. If you are afraid of failure, it is doubtful whether you will be able to learn from mistakes. The successful manager has to factor failure in for every project. One good piece of advice is to look at a project before it becomes operational and ask your team to list what could go wrong. This is a great way of identifying possible problems and obstacles and it can help you make adjustments if necessary.
When failure does happen, you have to be ready to react without playing the blame game. Wise tactics include listening, getting feedback and analysing what went wrong. There is some excellent advice along these lines in the book, Managing Yourself: Can You Handle Failure? by Ben Dattner and Robert Hogan.
Success will not teach you; failure will. This is the bitter lesson that Bill Gates learned when he failed to develop a Microsoft search engine. When he did develop Bing, it was already too late. It had little success and it cost Microsoft more than $2.5 million than it earned in 2011.

“Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can’t lose.” —Bill Gates

The Kim Kardashian's bu.tt is what most women into body enhancement are now seeking. According to a research released over the weekend, Kim K has the World's Best bu.tt and over 45% percent of women seeking to enlarge their butt in the last one year want what they now refer to as 'The Kim'.
Longevita plastic surgeon Prof. Dr. Fuat Yuksel, who commissioned the research, said:

'Kim has been popular among women seeking bottom augmentation or "Brazilian butt lifts" as they are more commonly known, for a few years, but in the last 12 months we’ve had a massive rise in the numbers asking for a Kim Kardashian bum. The procedure is performed through liposuctioned fatty tissue being injected into the buttocks. Kim has risen from just outside the top ten to the number one position in record time and is a firm favourite among women in the UK and elsewhere around the world."
"The Brazilian lift is now one of the most highly sought-after procedures we do - we’ve seen a 200 per cent increase in the number of UK enquiries for this procedure in the last 12 months alone. British women love beauties like Nicki Minaj and Kim Kardashian who have bigger bums and are not afraid to flaunt them.' Dr Yuksel said

Romance / WHY Young Ladies Marry Older Men; It's Not For Their Money by remspotng: 3:49am On Oct 12, 2014
When I saw this piece of article online, had to share it with you guys... I mean what else is there if a young lady of 25-30 gets married to an older man of 50-70
An interesting feature in the punch has just revealed why it has become a trend today, for young ladies to marry men who are old enough to be their father.
Enjoy the long but interesting piece below:

The Ighalos and the Olawales are neighbours, and have also been good family friends for the better part of the last five years. But interestingly, their first meeting didn’t go as well as their current relationship suggests.
When the Ighalos newly relocated to their Surulere residence from Ikeja, both in Lagos in 2009, the Olawales were the first family to welcome them to the neighbourhood. The age difference between Niyi Olawale and his wife, Olanike, is wide apart and so, they were offended by the new neighbours’ remarks on hearing that they were not father and daughter. Olawale was 60 while Olanike was 33.

“It was a first for us to see a couple with so much age difference. Although we didn’t know their ages as of the time, it was glaring that the man was much older than the woman. It was later after we had become friends that they told us how they felt insulted by the way we reacted to the information.
“Honestly, my husband and I thought the man was the woman’s father and that they were teasing us, so we freely joked about it. I think they got annoyed because as they tried to explain to us that they were a couple, we kept insisting that it couldn’t be. We were like ‘how could he (Mr. Olawale) be married to a woman that young?’

“I think my husband also joked about being the first person who would volunteer to call the police if he knew that Mr. Olawale was having sexual relations with his daughter,” said Victoria Ighalo, who is three years younger than her husband.

Love is in the heart, they say, and if it’s true that it is also blind, then looks, educational qualifications, fat bank accounts and certainly age should not matter. Such idioms are quite popular but the society is still amused by relationships and unions such as that of the Olawales.
Some people still believe that such relationships exist only because of their financial rewards and so are hardly willing to accept claims by such couples of being hit in the heart by the cupid’s arrow. The young partners in such marriages are usually branded gold diggers and the fact that the older partners are usually very rich does help arguments that such unions have anything to do with love.
In spite of this general perception, many of such couples don’t care if people snigger at their backs. To them, they are in love, married and ready to live their lives together, even with the chances that the old man or woman, depending on the situation, could die soon. One of such persons is Olanike.
After being introduced to our correspondent by the Ighalos, Olanike agreed to share her experience with our source, but with her husband’s permission. Olawale, though, declined to offer any comments.
The Olawales have been married for about eight years. Olawale was a rich widower when he met Olanike, but she insists that her attraction was based on pure unadulterated love for him.

“He had lost his wife when we met but I didn’t marry him for money; people can say whatever they like. It is not everyone who marries old men that do it for the money, sometimes, it is because they have genuine love for each other,” Olanike said with a measure of conviction.
“I love my husband because he’s caring, mature and responsible. I like the way he pampers and gives me attention. People often think that marrying someone much older than you means there will be no sex, but that is a lie.”

The secret
Olanike attributed the secret behind the success of her marriage to a much older Olawale to moderation.

Culture / |the King Of Swaziland| Offers Virgins $18 A Month To Remain Virgins For Him!? by remspotng: 2:27am On Oct 11, 2014
he was said to be Among the list of Africa's richest kings and also Africa's richest presidents.
The King of Swaziland, King Mswati III, is now offering virgins in his country around $18 a month if they continue to refrain from sexual activity.
King Mswati III hopes that the sponsored program will help decrease the speed of HIV in his homeland. At 26 percent, Swaziland has one of the highest HIV rates in the world. A $18 monthly payment is a great offer to the virgins in Swaziland since most people there make only less than a dollar a day.
The King already has 15 wives and he chooses a new one every year at an event called the Reed Dance.

At the event virgins dance in order to impress the King. Critics are accusing the King of wanting more HIV-free future wives instead of wanting to help his country.

Family / 17-month-old Baby Dies In Hospital After Judge Orders Withdrawal Of Life-support by remspotng: 3:20am On Oct 08, 2014
So sad!
A 17-month-old boy who hasn't even been named and suffered brain damage has died days following a ruling by a High Court judge Ms Justice Russell, directing that he should be taken off a life support machine which the family were not in support of.
The little boy was prematurely born by emergency Caesarean Section in ‘poor condition’ and had been in the care of a hospital managed by London’s King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust until his death. It was learnt that the NHS Trust had asked the judge to rule the withdrawal of the life-support treatment.
Meanwhile, he reportedly went through a cardiac arrest which lasted for about 20 minutes and needed resuscitation.
Last week, the judge, Miss Justice Russell ruled that it was better for the boy to be relieved from the ‘life-sustaining intensive care’ asserting that the little boy was going through ‘profound irreversible brain damage’.
Speaking about the death of the little boy, a lawyer Yogi Amin who stood in for the parents of the late boy expressed that the death of the boy had caused them serious pains.

Education / Talent Over Brains: Miss Unilag Gets A Brand New Car + Cash Gift While Unilag's by remspotng: 1:25am On Oct 07, 2014
It becomes extremely discouraging for youths who are holed up in the library or laboratory studying hard, when someone who probably has little or no brain tend to get a lot more appreciation, simply for being easy on the eye, in essence, being good-looking.
A situation which best describes this scenario has recently occurred in the University of Lagos.
At the 2014 Miss UNILAG beauty pageant, a 4th year law student at the institution, Damilare Babajide, was crowned winner, and her winning prizes included cash-gift and a brand new car.
While, earlier, on 10 September, 18-year-old Zainab Olaitan, a 2nd year political science undergraduate at UNILAG, won the university’s arduous debate competition, but her ‘winner’s perks’ was a far cry from that of Babajide, the winner of the beauty pageant.

TV/Movies / Paralysed Bride Amazes Wedding Guests As She Walks Down The Aisle by remspotng: 10:54am On Oct 06, 2014
After a bad car accident, athletic Gina Giaffoglione was tragically paralysed from the waist down. That means she cannot feel her legs and cannot walk. Since her accident, Gina has had to use a wheelchair to move around each day.
After her fiance John Springhower proposed in 2012, 27 year old Gina set her mind on a seemingly impossible goal…walking down the aisle.
Her fiance, her dad Gary and close family knew about the plan but all the other guests were in for a major surprise! People Magazine reports;

Gina went through months of physical therapy at CHI Health Rehabilitation Center at Immanuel Hospital to make this wish come true, and managed to keep her progress a secret the entire time.
After a year and a half, Gina learned to straighten her body and walk with a brace and crutch. Prosthetics specialists with the Hanger Clinic then redesigned the bride’s bulky leg brace, so she could covertly hide it under her wedding gown.
On their wedding day, tears flowed as everyone watched the bride walk down the aisle hand-in-hand with her dad and then say her vows to her husband, standing up.

Health / 10 Simple Ways To Manage Stress So It Doesn’t Make You Sick by remspotng: 2:04am On Oct 06, 2014
I experienced a long-term illness relating to prolonged high levels of stress because I hadn’t learned ways to manage stress. I came to a point where I had to do something major about it. It was a life-changing experience. I dove into books, meditation, and prayer. I saturated my mind with research. I took time off work.
My stress resulted from a series of events. Because I hadn’t learned the right ways to manage stress, my body became very sick. What also contributed to my stress was my thought patterns. I always focused on high achievement and tried to go beyond my abilities. As a result I burnt out quite a few times.
Witnessing people twice my age who suffer from an array of problems due to a lack of stress management skills really put things in perspective for me. They have accomplished amazing things, but at the cost of their health, family and own well-being. Seeing the complications and regrets of some of these people has really enforced my desire to learn how to lead a balanced life from a young age.
When my body wasn’t functioning properly, stress was completely overlooked. The doctors and specialists never asked about stress or tested my body for increased cortisol, hormones and symptoms related to stress. I had to find out about those factors through my own research and by turning to a naturopath. I am not against doctors, but the experience made me realize that we are responsible for our own bodies. We need to recognize the warning signs, take time out to center ourselves and always be conscious of our health.
Before you jump into the stress-management techniques, you should look at some of the symptoms of stress to see if you might be suffering from it.

Physical signs of stress:
Tiredness, fatigue, lethargy
Heart palpitations; racing pulse; rapid, shallow breathing
Muscle tension and aches
Shakiness, tremors, tics, twitches
Heartburn, indigestion, diarrhea, constipation
Nervousness
Dry mouth and throat
Excessive sweating, clammy hands, cold hands and/or feet
Rashes, hives, itching
Nail-biting, fidgeting, hair-twirling, hair-pulling
Frequent urination
Lowered libido
Overeating, loss of appetite
Sleep difficulties
Increased use of alcohol and/or drugs and medications
Psychological signs of stress:
Irritability, impatience, anger, hostility
Worry, anxiety, panic
Moodiness, sadness, feeling upset
Intrusive and/or racing thoughts
Memory lapses, difficulties in concentrating, indecision
Frequent absences from work, lowered productivity
Feeling overwhelmed
Loss of sense of humor

Prolonged and/or intense stress can have more serious effects. It can make you sick! There are more symptoms/signs—this is just a guide.
Now, what are some ways to manage stress?

1) Don’t rush through life
Why are we all rushing anyways? I don’t want to be morbid, death awaits us all. Are we in a rush to die? People put their health at risk to pursue their ambitions. This can create an urgency that leads to stress. I myself have felt this need to achieve a lot from a young age, with the result that I was always busy and put in a lot of effort toward the future. Currently when I feel that need to rush and be busy, I immediately recognize it and do something about it, even if it means a day or two off. This centers my mind and body and helps me live in the moment. Slow down, enjoy the ride and be effective—not just busy.
For those in their 20s (like me) this quote hit home for me: “Nothing will ruin your 20s more than thinking you should have your life together already.”– Aimee-Cherie

TV/Movies / VIDEO: Tiwa Goes Mute When Asked If All Is Well With Tee Billz by remspotng: 1:22am On Oct 06, 2014
Tiwa Savage who has been on the spot light for weeks now following her marital issues with hubby, Tunji Balogun, was a guest on Saturday’s edition of “The Truth” with Olisa.
During the interview session, she addressed a lot of issues including her controversial hit track ‘Wanted’ video, and how her success has redefined how women entertainers are perceived within a male-dominated industry.

“Every woman has that element and that period where they just feel sexy inside.I think I was going through a phase. Yea I wasn’t scared to show it and wasn’t scared of any backlash that was going to come ,because I know that whatever happens,I can always back up any controversy with my talent . The song is my favourite in my album. It might not be most people’s cup of tea in Nigeria, but internationally, they listen to that song and they love it . The guy who produced it is Oak, who produced “Your love “for Nicki Minaj. So I love the song. I’m influenced by Beyonce and by Mariah Carey by Rihanna, Brandy. I’m influenced all the time. I wasn’t thinking whether Nigeria was ready or not, I was just doing something from an artistic point of view.No regrets at all” She explained.

However, when asked if all is well with Teebillz, she refused to say a word, all she did was “zip her mouth” – even when asked about where they spent their honeymoon, she kept mum.

single for six years she had built up a brilliant relationship with herself - and creating that bond with someone else seemed like too much hard work.
Inspired by the Björk song Isobel, which includes the line, 'My name's Isobel, married to myself', the Londoner said the lyric struck a chord with her and it was then she decided to walk solo down the aisle.
Grace bought a dress, a ring, rehearsed vows and eventually wed in a farmhouse in rural Devon watched by her sister and friends -sealing the deal by planting a kiss on a mirror. Speaking to the Guardian, she said:

Jobs/Vacancies / 10 Things You Need To Do If You Are Unemployed by remspotng: 1:34am On Oct 04, 2014
Regardless of your background, times today are tough. Uneven economies around the world have made it incredibly difficult for many people to find work. Regardless of age and qualification, stretches of unemployment have affected us all in recent years. While we might not be able to control being unemployed, we can control how we react to it. Despite difficult conditions, there are many ways to grow and stay hopeful. Whether you’re looking for work, or just taking a breather between assignments, these 10 endeavors will keep you busy and productive. Plus, some may even help push your resume to the top of the next pile.

1. Keep a schedule
It’s fine to take a few days after you’re finished at work to relax, but try not to get too comfortable. As welcoming as permanently moving into your sweatpants may seem, keeping a schedule is one way to stay productive and focused. While unemployed, if you continue to start your day early, you are more likely to get more done. Also, keeping up with day to day tasks makes you less likely to grow depressed or inactive.

2. Join a temp agency

One of the easiest ways to bridge the gap between jobs is to find temporary work, or work with a temp agency. While many unemployed people job hunt religiously, rememberer to include temp agencies in the search. While not a permanent solution, you will be in a better position financially while you search for something permanent.

Business / WHY: 6 Excuses That Keep People From Starting Up A Business by remspotng: 4:43am On Oct 03, 2014
Starting your own business is challenging, but it can also be very rewarding. Many people do it with great results. However, there’s a lot of work to put into the project. Planning, meetings, investors, setting up a website—there’s a lot to be done. If you’re thinking of starting a business, but you’ve been apprehensive about starting it, go for it! And don’t use any of these 6 excuses that keep people from starting their own businesses.

1. “I don’t have time.”
No one has as much time as they’d like. It’s just a fact of life. However, efficiency and planning can get you a lot more time than you might think. Just keep a tight schedule and redirect some of your free time to starting your business. There’s never going to be a perfectly convenient time to do it, so just put in the extra effort and you’ll see great results. It will be a balancing act, but so is everything in life—this is just one more thing.

2. “I don’t have a business background.”
That’s okay! Tons of people who don’t come from business backgrounds successfully start their own businesses.Richard Branson never even went to college, and look how well he’s doing! If you truly have no idea how to run the more business-y side of your business, consider taking a course or partnering with someone who knows the technical details of starting a company. It’s totally okay if you want to start a business but are more on the creative side of things. That’s what the Internet, classes, and business partners are for.

TV/Movies / Diddy Was A Huge Part Of My Success - J.lo by remspotng: 4:37am On Oct 03, 2014
PDiddy, recently gushed about Jennifer Lopez and how he was lucky to have dated her. He also called her butt a work of art which even Kim's can't compare. J.Lo has returned the favour, telling Access Hollywood, there is still a lot of love, she also admits she learnt a lot from him considering when they were dating, she wasn't half as famous or worth much financially.. ..

"We spent three years of our lives together, you know almost every single day,As much as he roots for me and as proud as he is of me and of the time we had together, I, I am just as proud to see what he's done.Seeing him involved in Revolt and all the things that he's done as a business man and still being so true to his music and his art trying to uplift his community in his own way, and it's the same thing that I try to do and I feel like I learned a lot from him coming up, watching him,He gave me so many cues and taught me so many things,' I'll always be grateful to him for that and I love that he can be so supportive of me so many years later and that there's still so much mutual respect, admiration and love there.'

Art, Graphics & Video / UNBELIEVABLE: These Photo-realistic Portraits Were Hand Drawn And Painted by remspotng: 4:14am On Oct 03, 2014
They are not photos but paintings! When portraiture looks this realistic, it can be hard to accept that what you see is just paint on a canvas, or ink scratches on a page.
