The most important trait is that he believes in young, book-smart talent & pushes them for leadership.
When he was governor, he brought a lot of young driven people into the parastatals he created. A lot of young people that studied abroad are scouted to come work for the Lagos state government.
That's why its the only city that works at the moment.
Fashola, Ambode, Sanwoolu & Hamzat are smart people from the private sector and are not politicians. Tinubu, being able to roll in the mud of politics & fight for them is the reason smart people from the private sector can become Lagos governor.
Once Tinubu leaves the scene. Its going to be the wild wild west of politicians fighting dirty to get into the Lagos state house. It would be difficult finding a combination of a technocrat with the understanding of Nigerian politics like Tinubu has. Most smart technocrats are butties. |

He pulled an Azikiwe. 'I was out of the country when...' Anyways, Tinubu is also a political strategist so he already saw the long game you were trying to play. To get to become speaker in your 4th term, you needed Obasa gone. Thats why you orchestrated it. Fact is Sanwoolu had nothing to gain whether Obasa left or not, he was already in his 2nd term. You instigated the house and wanted to con all of them in Lagos APC, even Gbajabiamilla didnt see it, but Tinubu saw through you. Dem no dey call am jagaban for nothing. Lol! |

DeLaRue: This is actually a true form of local democracy, even though things look a bit rough, the organisation will get better in the future.
In a funny way, conducting a primary may actually help to galvanise voters to turn out for a party during the actual election.
Compared to areas where consensus is adopted, voters who vote in direct primaries will feel a true sense of being part of the process.
See Mr Obasa. When was the last time anyone witness a 'big man' subjecting his political fate to the hands of ordinary people.
Politicians who go through this process will know ordinary citizens can terminate their political career if they perform poorly and come back to contect another primary in the future.
Good for democracy. That’s what happened in Kosofe. The crowd was massive and the current incumbent Kafilat Ogbara came last with 5000 votes. Mayor Dele Oshinowo scored over 15,000 votes cos he was an excellent LG chairman in the past. Two other people scored higher than Kafilat. She came fourth, cos she sat in Abuja and didn’t really connect with the grassroots. I felt bad for her, but for like 30,000 people to come out and vote against u, it means she forgot her roots. People like Akin Alabi in Ibadan go home every weekend for grassroots discussions and acting on what they request, that’s why they keep electing him back to Abuja.

Tinubu wrote an article about Africa creating its own rating agencies in the global economic magazine, Financial Times last month.
Yesterday, he spoke in Kigali about how the international credit rating agencies were not fit for purpose for Africa.
Today S&P has done the needful. A bold and audacious president.
The message from Kigali yesterday from the 2 presidents was Africa need to start taking charge and leading its future and stop thinking small. Produce & add value to our raw materials ourselves or force investors to add value here, trade with each other by starting product exchanges and then have our own credit rating system for investors on the continent. Build infrastructure linking countries. Tinubu thinks like a CEO, not just an administrator. |

American and Nigerian forces have eliminated an African Isis leader named Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, President Donald Trump has claimed.
The US president said that Abu-Bilal al-Minuki was the global second-in-command of the terrorist group, and had been killed in a joint operation by the two nations.
Donald Trump, posting to his Truth Social platform on Saturday, said:
“Tonight, at my direction, brave American forces and the Armed Forces of Nigeria flawlessly executed a meticulously planned and very complex mission to eliminate the most active terrorist in the world from the battlefield.
Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, second in command of ISIS globally, thought he could hide in Africa, but little did he know we had sources who kept us informed on what he was doing.
“He will no longer terrorize the people of Africa, or help plan operations to target Americans. With his removal, ISIS’s global operation is greatly diminished.”
“Thank you to the Government of Nigeria for your partnership on this operation. God bless America!” Source: https://www.thetimes.com/world/africa/article/us-and-nigerian-forces-kill-isis-second-in-command-trump-says-svd3rc060

givedemwotowoto: APC why are you so obsessed with what the Obidient movement does?
APC is in crisis mode. Peter Obi being on the ballot was their worst nightmare.
First, Tinubu delays his trip abroad on hearing that PO joined NDC, something he has never done with the level of senseless murders and insecurity in the country.
This same PO that made Tinubu delay his trip, Tinubu has never mentioned him in any of his criticisms, he rather kept criticizing Atiku. This tells you one thing, it was deliberate. The target on ADC was Peter Obi not Atiku. He was very careful not to mention PO so that people won't know PO was the target.
Now that PO left, they're no longer interested in de-registering or destroying ADC Are u guys cursed? Which trip did Tinubu delay? The president is working hard bringing in investments and jobs to Nigeria and the economy is the fastest growing in the world for it. He has been in France since 2 days ago. He had a high level meeting with investors today. You and ur obi are where APC wants you to be.

lionphil: They will come out in support of their APC lord's but it ends there... Did you see how many millions entered NDC after Obi moved? Those numbers must be killing your APC urchins.
If Obi moves to a new party tomorrow, those same millions will still move with him just like they did when he moved to ADC.
We move anywhere he moves, it's organic, you can't buy or pay for it, you can deceive some people sometimes but you canr deceive all the people all the time.
Tinubu keeps shaking in Aso rock even with all the over 30 governors he has, he has more than half the senate and house of reps but he still doesn't sleep well.
As soon as Obi enters a party, suddenly, lawsuits start flying up and down just to deter him from contesting, ask yourself, why is it that any party he enters starts to have court issues. When he isn't there, all will be well but as soon as he enters, they start creating lawsuits. That should tell you that Obi won the last election and they know it is easier now for him given the hardship around the country.
They don't want OBI to contest because they know APC will be booted out just like in the 2023 election.
Every government gives their best during the first tenure... This is the best Tinubu has to offer. Another 4 years will see your accounts being emptied, prices of things unbearable and everyone turned to slaves. We can't allow that to happen. The tax law is waiting to be implemented as soon as he enters office.
You will see the true definition of chaos all over Nigeria if the right results aren't pronounced. ENDSARS will likely be a joke. People are angry and dying. I don't know whey many of you are so selfish and wicked, supporting evil while your own family members are hungry. Damn! Who is going to read all this 🗑️? |

Politics › Follow Us To NDC To Unseat APC Government – Buba Galadima Begs Atiku by renderme(op): 4:15am On May 05 |
A stalwart of the Nigerian Democratic Congress, NDC, Buba Galadima, has appealed to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to join the party to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Galadima made the appeal on Monday in an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, monitored by DAILY POST.
The appeal came a day after former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, counterpart, Rabiu Kwankwaso, joined the NDC.
The political heavyweights defected to the NDC from the African Democratic Congress, ADC, citing court cases and internal divisions.
Speaking on the programme, Galadima said, “We didn’t leave the ADC until there was a judgment setting a booby trap for everybody within the ADC.
This is why we are using this opportunity to call on the remnants of our comrades in the ADC to come to the NDC, where we will have a level playing ground.
“We are particularly calling on former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to jump ship and come to the NDC so that there will be a level playing ground for everybody.” Source: https://dailypost.ng/2026/05/04/2027-follow-us-to-ndc-to-unseat-apc-govt-buba-galadima-begs-atiku/

Day 1 in a new party NDC, and obidients are already dissing the party chairman Seriake Dickson and his IJAW tribe.
They are also calling for one of the executives to be investigated.
These are people that have spent their time and money working in this party. They have started bullying and rubbishing them. On day 1.
This is how they entered a peaceful labor party sidelined people and scattered it. To the extent Obi and the chairman that brought him in were fighting publicly.
SMH.
