What kind of disgraceful party is this?

PDP is a learner with the kind of corruption going on this ADC. Looks like Obi made a pact to enter the party alone and all the other tickets were sold by dickson to the highest bidder.
What am i even saying, Obi must have also paid a lot of money for the ticket.

You know this is what happened in PDP in 2015 that got all the northerners angry. GEJ told the party to print just 1 presidential form. No one else could contest for the ticket against him. And Obi was active in that government he knows how it went down.

These people want to take us back to Egypt, when we are all trying to make the electoral system fairer and transparent.

Your party cant even hold primaries. They were collecting 10 million from contestants after they had bought forms. Huge fraud.
Contestants didnt even know venues of primaries the day before.

Finally when primary venue was announced, they were entering rooms and choosing winners. No queues being counted in your primaries, just fights everywhere.
After dissing APC, even with all the long queues we saw in their wards of their members and leaders diligently voting, this is what you people could come up with? Fake primaries where people were already chosen (from Aishas mouth herself)?!! You really need to sit ur ass down.

PS - According to the electoral act, choosing a candidate must be by consensus or direct primary. If you chose by consensus, other candidates must publicly step down and agree. If u lie that it is direct primary and there's no primary but people are handpicked, that is illegal. Get ready for court cases.

Lol! They think its easy to build a political party in Nigeria, where everyone has varying interests? You have to have exceptional leadership skills to last 1 year leading a party, not to talk of excel at it.

Put some respect on Tinubus name. That guy was pressed, pushed, slapped and endured so much to continue to build his party and lead people. A lot of sacrifice and selflessness is in that story.
And this primary season the APC had the most sane primaries among all the political parties.

When returning the forms they are all now asked to pay 10million each (additional development fee) before they can be screened. There’s no guarantee you’ll get the ticket after the screening fee o.

Only people that pay this additional fee will be considered for the seat. They are grumbling and feeling scammed. They said Seriake Dickson na thief. They said it’s better they just tell them the ticket will go to the highest bidder or they should’ve added 10million extra to the initial fees for the forms.

Many of them are so disillusioned & cant speak out cos they support Obi.

Go and work hard, like the APC has worked hard.

When they were making deals and bringing in Governors from the PDP last year along with their state supporters, u guys were still looking for stolen mandate.

When they were doing door to door membership registeration & PVC registration since January (Yes, i saw them canvassing in my LGA), you guys were still doing one leg in and out of political parties.

When they announced that they have successfully registered over 12 million members in their digital register, you guys sneered and didnt take it seriously until INEC deadline came months later about digital register. They were already done with that and planning their primaries.

Now primaries has finished, they are going into fraying nerves of their members that lost so they can plan for proper campaign, you are still questioning primaries, instead of facing ur race.

Wont you guys wake up and actually WORK?!!! You think elections is cho cho cho. Do you even have officers for all 8809 wards? They just showed you last week that they do. If u dont have officers there, how will you be present to sign off on sheets.

This is actually a true form of local democracy, even though things look a bit rough, the organisation will get better in the future.

In a funny way, conducting a primary may actually help to galvanise voters to turn out for a party during the actual election.

Compared to areas where consensus is adopted, voters who vote in direct primaries will feel a true sense of being part of the process.

See Mr Obasa. When was the last time anyone witness a 'big man' subjecting his political fate to the hands of ordinary people.

Politicians who go through this process will know ordinary citizens can terminate their political career if they perform poorly and come back to contect another primary in the future.

That’s what happened in Kosofe. The crowd was massive and the current incumbent Kafilat Ogbara came last with 5000 votes. Mayor Dele Oshinowo scored over 15,000 votes cos he was an excellent LG chairman in the past.

Two other people scored higher than Kafilat. She came fourth, cos she sat in Abuja and didn’t really connect with the grassroots. I felt bad for her, but for like 30,000 people to come out and vote against u, it means she forgot her roots.

People like Akin Alabi in Ibadan go home every weekend for grassroots discussions and acting on what they request, that’s why they keep electing him back to Abuja.
