She is not stupid anything. She is hurt and perhaps seen it that this guy seemed to care more about money than her. For one, we dont know if the said 'policeman' at the bank contacted her, harassed and embarrassed her. That part is missing. Secondly, did you read where Op himself said he was not picking her calls because he felt she was up to something? He IGNORED her then and here she is, pained and you feel that is stupidity? It's not pls. Like you advised, he should give her time and reach her through proxies. You never can tell, she may soften. Next time, we should lean to give people benefit of doubt.
