After Abuja became the federal capital, all the infrastructures of the federal government in Lagos, including the federal secretariat in Ikoyi, the National Stadium, Surulere, the National
Theatre in Iganmu, etc, etc, were abandoned to decay.
But the presence of millions of Igbos who refused to relocate to Abuja made the city of Lagos pick up the pieces from many years of abandonment. These urchinss with their Lagos ethnic city for Yoruba are plainly ridiculous.

Lagos was built and continued to be built with proceeds from crude oil and gas deposits in the Niger Delta.
Akinola Aguda was used as Chairman of the committee that recommended the transfer of Nigeria's capital from Lagos to Abuja.
Too many people living in Lagos before then relocated to Abuja.
Too many Igbos living in Lagos before then refused to relocate to Abuja from Lagos. They continued with contribution of resources and taxes to build Lagos.
Many of you who now claim Lagos as an ethnic city for Yoruba lack hindsight and are plainly toxic. I have told you earlier that you don't deserve any more response.
