Well, the truth is that the success of a marriage does not depend on someone prophesying for you about who to marry..

That doesn't make God less powerful...

Jesus speaking in John 12:46 says :I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.

What happens when you switch on the light in a dark room?
The place gets bright... It is no longer dark...
You can walk into such room and pick up whatever you want without being confused or stumbling around...

Now let's do a little exercise..
Imagine the world is that room and Jesus is the light switch...
Jesus coming into the world(your life) means darkness can no longer exist in your life.

God creates a longing to repent
The longing you sense to change the course in your life has been created by God. In the Bible the question is asked; “[Do you not know] that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?” Romans 2:4. The apostle Peter once spoke to the Jews. He made it clear for them that they had sinned when they crucified Jesus. When they heard this, “they were cut to the heart.” Acts 2:37. That’s how it can feel when you know you’ve done something wrong and your conscience reminds you of this. You become sorry, and maybe you feel grief. It is God’s goodness that you become sorrowful! You can actually rejoice when you experience this sorrow. It gives you a longing to be converted and is a confirmation that God has started working in you!

A radical decision
The condition to be able to get rid of these heavy burdens and to get rest, is that you acknowledge your sin.

“Yes, but what is sin?” you may ask. To sin is to act against your conscience and the good laws of life that God has given to us and that we find in the Bible. Elias Aslaksen’s introduction to the book “I am crucified with Christ” starts like this:

“It is one thing that Christ was crucified, but it is quite another thing that we are crucified, just as it is one thing that He did God’s will, but quite another thing that we should do it. His purpose in being crucified for us was not so that we could avoid being crucified, but rather that we should be crucified with Him.”

What if they're wrong and the Islamic religion is true? also since there are over 5,000 gods each with its own version of "hell" for those who don't believe in it do you think sticking to one makes sense? also if you attempt to please other gods in conjunction with your own you'd still lose anyways as many gods regard worshipping any other god alongside it a sin too.
