Seun:
He did that with the EndSARS protesters and they did not respond to his pleas.
Maybe if those police and soldiers were used against bandits, people wont be out on the streets protesting.
There is a global inflation trend but the obvious failings of the govt has given protesters loophole to demand for something the govt ought to be doing but isnt.
PoliticsRe: Letter From Tai Solarin About Hardship In 1983 by RepoMan007: 8:36pm On Aug 03, 2024
EyeCumInPiss:
Let's do small arithmetic:

Bag of Brown Beans in 1983
=₦200
Bag of Brown Beans in 2024
=₦100,000

So Bag of Brown Beans increased 500times in 41years

So if we continue like this, in next 41years (year 2065), price of Bag of Brown Beans will be:
500×₦100,000 =₦50m grin
lol. 250k actually.

Such a shame that people have chosen to express their grievances through violence and destruction.

Instead of building bridges, they are burning them down. This is the same pattern we see everywhere; misguided anger just leads to more chaos.

Bandits and terrorists ar businessmen while the victims of their business are treason-committing protesters.

Protest is tied to (deteriorating) living condition and not characters. The tribal and partisan taint to the protest is negligible.

Salewa97:
Na wah! All this talk about protests like say dem fit change anything for this country. The way I see am, na just another avenue for noise-making. People go gather, shout their lungs out, and in the end, na the same hardship go still dey greet dem the next morning.

You fit protest from now till next year, but if no solid plan dey behind am, wetin go change? E go just be like say dem dey play theatre for street. The same politicians wey dem dey protest against go still dey laugh as dem chop their money and waka go.

And make we no even start to talk about the so-called leaders of these protests. Most of dem na just hungry politicians looking for relevance. If dem really care, dem for don lead by example instead of just dey collect small change to mobilize people.

At the end of the day, e be like say na just to trend on social media dem dey protest for. Real change no dey come from
Did 2012 protest by Tinubu change anything? If it did, another one can.

Chinkoalhaji34:
Protests won't solve the problem.

It's like pouring water on a drowning man. Instead of creating more chaos, why not find solutions that actually work?

The same people protesting today will be the ones complaining about the aftermath tomorrow. Have we forgotten the destruction and loss that comes with these protests?

It’s high time we start thinking of better ways to address our issues rather than adding to the burden we already carry.
Normalcy hasn't solved 1% of it neither.
