The Ondo state commander of the Security outfit codenamed Amotekun, Chief Àdetunji Adeleye, has said that the suspected killers of worshippers at St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo state have been arrested.

Adeleye said this in Akure the state capital, that the vehicle and of some weapons used by the suspected killers have been recovered by the security outfit.

According to him” we have arrested a number of those who perpetrated evil at the St Francis Catholic Church in Owo.

“We have also recovered the vehicle they used last after the deadly operation. We have also recovered some of their weapons.

" They came on motorcycles and hijacked a Golf vehicle.

” We have successfully recovered the vehicle and will soon arrest all the killers

A medical doctor in Enugu State has broken the internet after videos of him surfaced online.

According to a poster who shared the viral video on Twitter, Prof. Kingsley Obioha, a medical doctor has granted free consultation at his private facility for every patient that has a Permanent Voters Card (PVC).

In the video, he could be heard reiterating that everyone who has a PVC will not be charged dout consultation fee and those who have paid already will have their money refunded.

This patriotic act has received applause from social media users with many stating that we can't afford to get it wrong this time as per the Electoral process come 2023.

Ahmad Isah popular Nigerian human right activist has called out all presidential aspirants to make donation towards clearing off the lingering ASUU strike.

The CEO Brekete family made this known via a Twitter post where he promised to donate 10 million naira adding that if all presidential aspirants and well meaning Nigerians can yield to the plea then 18 billion naira could be raised to settle the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in two weeks time.

The self acclaimed Ordinary President went ahead to create a bank account for the course, releasing it publicly.

While no presidential aspirant has reacted to the "call out", social media users have gone ahead to praise the activist for the bold step taken.

Recall that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) had gone in strike since February 14th 2022 and are yet to come to a common ground with the federal Government since the strike began

Finalissima is a match played by the winners of Copa America and Euros respectively.

France won the first edition of the competition in 1985 with a 2-0 defeat of Uruguay in Paris. Les Bleus had won the 1984 European Championship and Uruguay won the 1983 Copa America.

Argentina is the defending champions of the Finalissima, having won the match in 1993 at the expense of Denmark. The last edition of the match was held in 1993 between the 1991 Copa America champions Argentina and the 1992 European Championship winners Denmark.

Lionel Messi has had a couple of rough months, having suffered Covid and a relatively bad season since he joined PSG.

In a video that is now viral on social media, a man was caught in an attempt to poison his friend at an eatery.

From the video, you can hear the Camera person who spoke in Igbo language narrating the incident.

According to the camera man in the video, the man had poisoned the food of his friend just immediately after the friend stepped out to use the rest room.

Unfortunately for him and luckily for his friend, someone had seen him while he poisoned the drink but kept quiet as he observed what could happen next.

Bandits Kill Three Niger PDP Delegates

Three delegates meant to have voted during the gubernatorial primaries of the People Democratic party on Wednesday have been killed by bandits.

The delegates who are from Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State were killed when they were traveling back to their homes to get a means of identification to enable them to get accredited.

This was made known by the Chairman of the Electoral Committee and Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, on Thursday in Minna.

The delegates were forced to travel back to get a means of identification after a protest erupted by four of the five aspirants over the authenticity of the delegates’ list.

One of the delegates who was an eyewitness Shehu Haruna told journalists that their vehicle ran into the bandits who opened fire on them between Mariga and Tegina and four people lost their lives.

“We left Minna in the late hours when PDP postponed the governorship primaries to Thursday, and that we should go and bring our voter’s card or any means of identification.

“We were returning home to get our means of identification and on the road we ran into bandits who opened fire on our vehicle. Though we were able to escape since the driver was not hit, four people died instantly.”

The four aspirants who had protested the authenticity of the delegates list are Sani Idris Kutigi, Alhaji Sidi Abdul, Former Minister of Sports, Barrister Abdulrahman Gimba, and Engr Abubakar Isah Jankara.

The Federal Government has promised to pay about N34billion minimum wage arrears Consequential Adjustments in the education sector effective from 2019.

NAN reports that the Minister of Labour and Employment, Sen. Chris Ngige, said that this was aimed at resolving the lingering crisis in the sector.

Ngige made this known while speaking with newsmen on the prolonged strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), and others on Tuesday in Abuja.

Ngige said that the beneficiaries of the Minimum Wage Consequential Adjustments included the members of the striking ASUU and their counterparts in the polytechnics and Colleges of Education.

According to Ngige, the universities will get N23.5 billion, the polytechnics N6 billion and the Colleges of Education N4 billion, bringing the total sum to N33.5 billion.

The minister, while giving an update on the ongoing strike, said committees were set up during the last tripartite meeting of the government and university based unions.

He said they were given a fortnight to turn in their report, adding they were still working and the reports of the committees were being expected at the end of the week.

The minister therefore, appealed to ASUU and other university-based unions once more to suspend their strike so that academic activities could resume once again in public universities across the country

Governor Nyesom Wike, the executive Governor of rivers state and an aspirant in the forthcoming 2023 presidential election has taken to his social media handle to share Video of Nigerian Students chanting praises on him.

According to his post on Facebook, the governor had stepped out to investigate some of his on-going projects in the state when students and youths of the community on sighting him started rendering songs of praise as a way to appreciate his good deeds in the community and the state at large.

His post reads :

"A most fulfilling part of my job is seeing our people appreciate the work we put in to develop Rivers State.

A nursery 1 Pupil has created reactions on social media after he joined Nigerian Students of the Federal University of Agriculture Markurdi (FUAM) in their protest against the 3-month-old ASUU Strike.

It is reported that while tudents of FUAM had come out in their numbers to protest today against the lingering ASUU strike , the Nursery 1 Pupil whose name wasn't captured joined the students in the protest which many has tagged as a protest to secure his future.



Following reactions on social media, some social media users have condemned the act of the young lad with emphasis on how dangerous Nigerian protests turns out which could be of negative effect to the young comrade. However, many have applauded his action adding that he is fighting for his future and he is a true leader of tomorrow.

Recall that the Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) has been on strike since 14th February 2022 till date and have vowed not to return back to the class room until the Federal Government grants their requests.

The All Progressive Congress (APC) political party in Nigeria has all of a sudden postponed the earlier scheduled presidential screening for its members indefinitely.

Recall that the screening was earlier scheduled for Monday 23rd May 2022.

The postponement of the screening was confirmed by the official Twitter page of the party in a statement signed by the National Publicity secretary of the party, Barr. Felix Morka.


While reasons for postponement weren't given in the letter, many political analysts are however of the opinion that the postponement could possibly be part of the party's political strategy against their opponents for the coming presidential primaries election.

Recall that the party had recently changed the date for its primary elections to 29th May 2022.

A thief was caught in Ambrose Alli University's Faculty of Clinical Science, Irrua, today- May 22, 2022, around 1 am.

This is not the first case of theft in the faculty, in fact, stealing has become a normal thing.

But today, the unlucky culprit was caught and of course given the beating of his life.

The security men on duty noticed some kind of disturbance coming from the roof of one of the classes in the faculty and immediately, alerted the President of the School's medical Association(AAUMSA) and the Clinical Hostel's Governor.

The hostel governor, together with some medical students contacted ISTH's security.

They proceeded to the classroom in an attempt to apprehend the thieves.

The thieves(two in number) broke the ceiling and attempted to escape upon sighting the entourage but one of the thieves who was not so lucky, was caught by angry students who chased after them.

After series of questions, it was gathered that the culprit can be addressed as Ibrahim Adamu, from Katsina State and reside in Cattle market,mopol junction.

Trying to get further information from the culprit was not possible because he barely understood English but very fluent in Hausa.

He was taken to the nearest police station in Irrua.
