Yes. However, the Consular officer did not specifically state the reason for my refusal.
Yes, I was not told the reason for the refusal.
Yes, the consular may have refused my visa application because I could not convince him/her that I'm a credible student.

These are just sample. What do you think might have caused your refusal during the interview? Think about it, and craft a short 1 or 2 sentences in the box available for answer. Your response will NOT be used against you during the next interview.

But prepare for your next interview, whether it will be next month, in December or next year. Look at the responses you gave during the interview and see how to strengthen them for a positive outcome next time.

Thank you very much. I was going to write the feedback I got from the consular. "Your visa cannot be issued at this time but you're welcome to re-apply".

Been following this thread for a while and it has been immensely helpful. I have some few questions though.

For someone who got their F1 visa delayed last year for no clear reason although has the 214B paper issued and is re-applying, what's the best explanation for the "have you been denied" question while filling the DS-160.
