there's no much difference from Lagos and Ibadan... Except for the companies which are not that plenty in Ib and there are couple of them in Oluyole industrial estate and Dugbe.. And also the locals in Ib city are way too peaceful and calm than Lagos and things are very very cheap in Ib city, and electricity is good in many places. There are couple of clubs.. Many people still don't know what Ajimobi did in that city. The man transformed that city. Buh because many people have never been there since Ajimobi took charge, they thought Ib was still same Ib of yesterday.. With Operation burst everywhere in town, you wouldn't want to mess around so talk security, talk electricity, peace of mind, cheap transportation, cheap food, just name it... Just jobs, that's the only problem buh if you can do buying and selling in Dugbe then congratulations, you found the best place to stay.

igboora is very cheap probably #2000 per month as house rent. 30-45min to ogun state 1hr to Ibadan city.

Me I'm in love with Ibadan as a city but my fear is this if I resign from my #68,000 job in Lagos where my annual accommodation is #200,000 but my transportation to and fro is #200. To start up a business in Ibadan.
1. What buying and selling can move very fast in Ibadan though my line of business is cosmetic.
2. Can I see a mini flat with total package #150,000 in Ibadan bcoz I have a lot of load.
3. How about shop can I see good shop of #100,000 total package.
4. If I set aside #1,000,000 as a start up capital. Will I be getting up #50,000 as return though not up to my monthly salary.
Pls advice me before I renew my rent by January ending.

Lol how you dey cope with 68k in Lagos ? Ibadan is good just need to stay around ringroad Axis and you will make it no matter what you sell

I relocated from Lagos to Ibadan around June this year, I don't regret the decision bro, maybe because I am self-employed and my business is online-based so Location was never a barrier. Ibadan is peaceful, neat, accommodation is fairly cheaper than it is in Lagos.
If you have the mind-set of getting a white-collar job or your business is going to be largely dependent on offline customers, seek somewhere else. Electricity?, I rate am 7/10.

Even offline customers. Which cities has more offline customers than Ibadan except abuja and Lagos ?

I would also recommend Ibadan --I bought land in elebu about 10yrs ago (250k/plot) -now that same place is a new town.

And when the lagos ibadan railway line completes it would become a gold mine.

I am just looking forward to that time with high hopes. It reminds me of what happened in badore (from about 2m/to 15m)

Ibadan is just like lagos with less stress. You can get all things you need in Lagos in Ibadan, same structure. You go too enjoy life on Ibadan
