Guys, anyone who got their visa today?

Yes i got my passport today. 3 Months multiple entry visa (Visitor).

Exactly 7 weeks ago.

Just received mail from VFS that my passport is ready for collection. I guess i have to wait till Monday to know whatsup.

Well, i totally agree with what he wrote. Some people have a sense of entitlement. South Africa is a sovereign nation. They get to decide WHO enters their country and HOW you enter their country. Entering their country is NOT a right, it is a privilege. YES..... it is sometimes irritating how they handle visa procedure and processing but that is totally their discretion. You dont like how they handle their business, DONT apply for their visa. It is that simple. I have submitted my passport for visa renewal for the past 7 weeks. I have 5 previous visas and if approved, this will be my 6th SA visa. Their form stated 6 business days to process your visa but before you submit your application, those VFS guys will make you attest that your application might take more than 6days and the moment you write and sign that statement, you are at their mercy. A lot of people are illiterates when it comes to things like this. They just write and sign what they are told to without really understanding what it means. LOL

BTW, i am pulling my passport if i dont hear from them in the next 1 week..

You where making sense till you are advising him to stay back home,he can decide to go anywhere he likes .

Who told you he will come there to cause problem ?

Who told you he will be like the useless Nigerians over there ? We have so many genuine Nigerians ,what are you feeling like by talking down on someone ?

The way the SA High Consulate in Nigeria delays visa applications is crazy. Imagine a useless country like South Africa holding onto people's passports for weeks, some people book flights, hotel accommodation, make solid travel plans, prepare to attend conferences and then they treat our applications with disdain like time is not of the essence. Better countries at least respect timing. What a waste of time and money. Never again.

They usually dont take this long to process visa applications. It is written on the VFS "News and Notices" section that they are having technical difficulties at the Embassy which is causing delays in visa processing time. There are some things you cannot control dear. PATIENCE.....

I forgot to ask, did you intend to travel with your kids or not? I assume they are 10yrs and below. If not, why?

I lady was recently approved. Shes traveling with her 3kids cos she cannot leave them alone with her husband. Her SOA is just 6M. Well, like you said, your gcms note will shed more light on what went wrong. No hope lost

Actually these were the same docs submitted 2 years ago when I n Hubby applied. Couldn’t have hide anything for them because they have them on file already most especially my hair Business. It’s easy to verify online. Imagine if they find that out on their own.
We’ve seen people with 100m SOA that got approval before and someone with zero balance also got approval. It’s just to show sustainability. So, don’t see it as show of wealth. My gcms note will give an insight but before then, advise is all I need

I was just thinking the same. Those funds and documents are way too much.

The truth is that, If you submitted all you just said and wrote because you want to Travel to Canada?

1. It Is Just Too much of a document !

2. Be precise in your analysis, Just like what you wrote here about yourself and application is contradicting!

3. When you finally calm down to Reapply, don't add or remove anything from what you said you applied with.

You want to travel doesn't mean you have to Bring all sorts of wealth that you posses as a Tie back home, allow them make some suggestions too with the little you provided.

That answered my questions perfectly. Thanks a lot bro.

I will advise u get a new int passport, b4 submitting..or applying for visa...upfront is a decision u make on your own after u v submitted and done your biometrics...if u don't want to do it and wait for the embassy to instruct u to do it..its all up to u to decide

Hello guys. Great work you all are doing. I am pretty new here and i have followed the thread all through and i have some questions.

I got my admission letter from New Brunswick for Msc in International Business starting in Sept. I am in the process of paying the non refundable $500 deposit to secure my space.

1. My current International Passport will expire in December 2019. Do i need to get get it cancelled and get another one?

2. I have been reading here where people keep saying they did "upfront medicals". I called one of the hospitals where they do medicals on the Island and the lady i spoke to said i cant do medicals unless i am asked by the embassy to go and do it. She said the fee is 35k or something. The word UPFRONT keep getting me confused. I thought i could get all my documents together and just submit all at once?

Please advice guys.
