since September, and you have not traveled? Just curious...do they give a wide period within which you can travel?

Please, how do I make hotel reservations? Can you give me a link to a hotel?
LOL. The last time i checked, september was 7days ago. His visa will most likely have 3months validity with a condition of how many days max he can use on each visit. As for hotel, you can use hotel.com. Filter by "No prepayment and free cancellation."

Good day to you all. I am applying for a study visa and I am planning on submitting in Lagos this week, but I have a question. I just got the Bank Statement of my sponsor yesterday and it was 6 months even though I told him I only needed 3. I want to know if the vfs office in Lagos would accept 6 months, as it is stated on the requirements that only 3 months is required for Lagos submission. I would have gotten a new Bank Statement from my sponsor, but he left the country yesterday to be back September ending which is too late. Can I go ahead with the 6 months statement or I will be turned back? Please, has anyone been in this situation before?
Go and submit. They will accept the 6months statement. Better it is more than to be less. Good luck

Please has anyone visit vfs Abuja lately ? Is their office now at maitama ? I placed a call and someone answered saying they are now in maitama not central area anymore... can Someone verify that please? Also they asked me to call on Monday to book appointment before coming... and they said I should bring police clarification... please how true are these informations
VFS Abuja is at Central Business District, Sterling Bank Plaza, go to the parking basement and take the stairs or lift to 3rd Floor. I dont think they book appointment there.

Having the money transferred into my own account shouldn't be the evidence of continued sponsorship, as there's a possibility that the money can be tampered with soon after. That evidence could only be confirmed at the Airport Point of Entry.
It should not but look at these 2 scenarios and tell me which you think is more logical and probably acceptable to a VO....

1. I said i am your sponsor and gave you my bank statement to show i have the money to sponsor you.

2. I said i am your sponsor and i trust you enough to send MY money into YOUR account to PROVE i am actually sponsoring you.

Like i said, i might be wrong.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Restricted: 3:42pm On Aug 08, 2019
Viquetohr:
If that could be true, why wasn't it specifically stated in the requirement. Here's the requirement for sponsorship: "Sponsored trips should always have a letter with full details of the sponsor and contact details as well as a copy of identity card/passport data page"
They wont tell you that bro. Though i am not 100% sure that was what happened, i only said that cos that is what most embassies expect you to do to show commitment. Think about it yourself.

Good Day all, i tried to summit my documents for critical skills visa today at VFS Abj, and was told i needed employment letter from an employer in SA. I argued that it doesnt say so in the requirements online, but my application documents was returned back to me. I want to enquire if its a new regulation for issue of CSV?.
Thanks
Ordinarily you do not need an employment letter from an employer in SA to apply for CSV for a one year visa. Employment letter is only required for a 5 years CSV. As long as you have the necessary skills or qualifications required http://www.dha.gov.za/images/immigration_critical_skills.pdf

I really dont know why they didnt allow you submit your application. Atleast they will collect their own money and leave you with the Embassy to decide whether you qualify or not.

Having provided every required sponsorship document for my study visa, I got denied stating that "no evidence that the sponsor will continue to support".

Please help demystify that statement.
I assume the sponsor did not transfer the money into your own account? If that is the case, then maybe, just maybe that was why you were refused the visa. I may be wrong though.

I need advice please,; I've submitted my application at VFS center in Lagos since May 13th but till date I've not hear from them all I can find online when tracked is 'your application has been received and under assessment at SA high commission in Lagos ' my concern now is that I have an urgent meeting in Dubai in less than 12 days! Anyone with a brilliant idea on what I can do?
You can do either of these 2 obvious things.

1. Withdraw/recall your passport from the SA embassy and go to Dubai. Your application fee is non refundable
2. Wait for your passport to come back and go to SA IF your visa is approved.

Hello All,

I intend applying for a visitor's visa for the first time. I am self-employed, have a registered company and a bit of travel history, mainly African countries.

I need to know if I'd need a tax clearance certificate for my company to apply for a visitor's visa.

Thanks in advance.
That is the most important document you should not leave out. UK DO NOT joke with tax.

It is usually a waste of money. They won't tell you anything specific other than they will escalate especially if they have told you in a previous enquiry that decision has been made. My cousin who is meant to travel with me last week is in same limbo. He did biometrics in V.I since 17th May.
You are right. All they will tell you is that they will escalate it to the appropriate department and you are being charged heavily per minute. I think there is something wrong somewhere with the application of those that applied around that period. I did my biometrics on the 16th May in Abuja and i am in the same boat. I received the "Application Despatched" email from UKVI since 10th June and up till now TLS does not have my passport. I have emailed and called them and its same story. I even had to go to Abuja 2 days ago. Trip turned out to be more like a wasted effort. I guess its a game of waiting at this point.

Hi bro I did mine same 16th may at ikeja and am in the same exact situation as u, pls have u gotten any update from them?
I have not gotten any update. I was at Ikeja earlier today and the guys at the gate wouldnt allow me enter cos i wasnt submitting or picking up. Moreso i submitted my application in Abuja. All they said was if my application is ready, they will update it on their website. I also called UKVI and the phone rang for 27mins and i had to end the call. I dont know if im being charged for the call or not cos nobody picked. I really dont know what to do at this point.

I got the below email since the 10th of June that my application has been dispatched and i am yet to receive any email from VFS for collection. Today is 19th. Does it usually take this long for VFS to update at their end? I track online and its still showing "Application Received By DMC". I did biometric since the 16th of May. Its been 5weeks now. Im begining to think something is wrong somewhere. Huh......

Dear xxxxxxxxxxx

Your UK visa application has been dispatched from the UK Visa Section.

If you are applying from Europe, North & West Africa and GCC countries:

- And you submitted your application at a visa application centre - You will receive an email shortly from TLS or VFS about collecting your decision. Please ensure you check your e-mail account and do not attend the VAC until you are advised to.

VAC - Visa Application Centre.

Thanks alot. What abt the accommodation.
Use hotels.com and filter your search by "no prepayment". No prepayment simply means you will pay when you check-in. Just use any card that is valid but doesnt have much funds in it (500 naira or 1k is fine). Just incase you forget to cancel your booking later. That way, your card wont be charged for the booking. LOL............I think i am spilling too much. The travel agents on this thread wont be happy with me. These are SIMPLE things they deceive and charge people for. Bunch of mofos

How do you go about the flight and booking issue. That my problems for now.all have been seeing are requesting for payment before confirmation.
Its pretty easy. Just book through wakanow.com and choose to pay later. You have 72hours to pay but that doesnt really matter. All you need is the confirmation that you have booked a flight. They didnt expect you to pay for flight tickets when you are not sure of visa being approved.

Hey guys, I am hoping to attend a short film production course in SA - 8 WEEKS / 2 MONTHS. What is the requirement for a short stay in SA and how long does it take to have an SA visa approved? the course begins next month.
Word of advice. DONT submit in Lagos. Go to Abuja to submit since your course starts in a month.

House pls, something is burdring me, if someone intend to travel for visiting around 20th and the passport is not yet after the date, those that means the visa might be refused?
Not at all. Its their fault and not yours. You gave them enough time to process your application. My intended travel date (hotel and flight) was March 01 and i just got my passport yesterday March 11th......... Hope that answers your question.
