See for instance the DRC ( former Zaire ) under Mobutu. Why over 30 -years that man was not able to
build roads, high speed trains, high tech universities, etc? This is where Nigeria and other few African countries kick in.
Nigeria could have removed presidential term limits on the ground that the country is so big, a president would need unlimited terms . Fortunately today a Nigerian president cannot spend more than 8 years in power no matter how good he is. This is a good first step. and It is called NATION BUILDING.
Those small Europeans countries with high GDP have wealth that was built over centuries, moreover, they went through turmoils over turmoils , before strengthening the notion ( o r the concept) of country and government . They have experience managing state affairs long before we Africans got those post colonial states full of demons ( the demons are radical Islam, tribalism, regionalism, dictatorship, corruption, neo colonialism etc.)
Within the next 10 years Nigeria can beat South Korea, who knows?
