The list below is not in any particular order.... It's just for "Discussion purpose" you have the right to add, subtract or disagree...... These are the 5 most popular or most consumed foods in Nigeria - let's have fun.. (1.) JOLLOF RICE This delicious meal is one of the most popular foods in Nigeria. Although it is not synonymous to Nigeria alone but also to other West African countries. Jollof rice is the go to meal at occasions in Nigeria.... - everybody loves JOLLOF RICE. (well, except me tho.) seriously am not a fan. (2.) GARRI Or eba as most people will call it is very popular in Nigeria. This dish made from cassava is something every Nigerian must have had in one way or another. Garri is best served with soup, beans, or just with milk and groundnut. (that depends whether you want to drink it tho.) (3.) INDOMIE NOODLES Hahaha.... the list wouldn't make sense without this type of meal.Indomie, loved by kids, ladies mostly, few guys is another meal that is well known in Nigeria. (.......... Meanwhile........) Some people call it a lazy man’s food because it is prepared in less than 5 minutes. This facts made indomie one of the most popular foods in Nigeria. (4.) AKARA/BREAD/PAP Akara is just a deap fried bean cake. It is filled with protein and is best taken with pap (made from grounded corn). Most people love taking akara with bread. (5.) SUYA Someone might chop my head off if this doesn't make the list...... Suya, hmmmmmmn..... Usually the go-to companion if you want to impress that new chick when coming back from work. Suya is grilled meat done in an open fire. It is done mostly at night by majority of hausa’s and it is served with big chops of onion, cabbage and pepper in a newspaper ============================================= Others that could have graced the list are: *Plantain chips *Dodo *Gala (sausage roll) Etc......... Add yours |
Some topics are just dumb & useless, just like this pointless topic..... *walks out of thread* |
lordthree:Bros, you really think I haven't tried to do that? This girls just don't want NO for an answer |

KissChrix:Bros, dating her would eventually lead sex & that's what am trying to avoid. |
OK, so there's this uncle of mine that has a house not too far from where I rented my apartment, in fact it's just a stone throw away... I normally go there almost every day especially in the evenings when I return from work [because the wife has a shop & a small bar] the issue am having now is that the sister to my uncle's wife is giving me a green light, she keeps sending me text messages [love text messages] whatsapp messages etc...... Just two days ago, she said she wanted to tell me something! I told her am all ears, to my surprise she said she has been tripping for me & that she wants me to have sex with her the next day which is yesterday.... Right now I have been avoiding her but she keeps pestering me.... Please help advice is seriously needed o. I don't know why she's after me, moreover I don't think it's ideal to even date my in law |
asuustrike2009:wow, am surprised tho. Maybe It's because I'm on WiFi all the time.... |
titosantana:Like seriously dude? Are you kidding me? Whatsapp audio call is super clear.... If your network strength isn't good, then you can't expect the best of any Internet base call - it's that simple. |
This is not a counter thread to diss the other guy that posted something similar yesterday, stating that phones radiation is capable of cooking eggs. this article is meant to educate us better, so that we wouldn't just jump to conclusions when we hear some rumors. MEANWHILE: i'll try to find his thread link and include it here later No, it's not possible to cook an egg with two cell phones. At least, not by using the method outlined on wymsey.co.uk. The instructions basically boil down to this: place an egg between two phones, use one phone to call the other, and then wait for radio signals to cook the egg. Wymsey notes that cooking time: very much depends on the power output of your mobile phone. For instance, a pair of mobiles each with 2 Watts of transmitter output will take three minutes to boil a large free range egg. Check your user manual and remember that cooking time will be proportional to the inverse square of the output power for a given distance from egg to phone. As I said, this method definitely won't work (though I wouldn't rule out there being some kind of MacGyver way to cook an egg involving highly polished cellphones and reflected sunlight). What should be noted, however, is that Wymsey never intended anyone to believe it would work. The instructions are a joke. A lot of sites (including, surprisingly, Boing Boing) don't seem to have realized this. (Isn't the name Wymsey a giveaway?) The Wymsey site (which chronicles the goings-on in the fictional village of Wymsey) was created by Charlie Ivermee back in 1998, and he wrote the egg article in 2000. In an interview with Gelf Magazine he explains why he wrote the article: “It was 6 years ago but I seem to recall that there was a lot of concern about people's brains getting fried and being from a radio/electronics background I found it all rather silly. So I thought I'd add to the silliness.” SOURCE: http://hoaxes.org/weblog/comments/how_to_cook_an_egg_with_two_cell_phones |

I see a lot of bad bloggers with bad writing skills in recent times, most of them even give 'Professional Advice' making caricature of the blogging industry in Nigeria when they need help themselves, blogging - if doing it for commercial purpose, you must pay attention to these 6 things in order to stand out of the noise. It seems to me that many are now seeing blogging as child's-play, they fail to learn or improve, all they're most after is cash! In my 5 years plus of being a freelance writer (ghost writer) for many blogs and brands, I have come to realize that constant practice & self improvement is the only way to stay long in the game. This article is written for content creators and bloggers who need better ways to engage their readers and make them stick around longer, rather than flipping through your contents and logging off your website just because your content aren't engaging enough or because your post format isn't appealing. There are certain rules to writing an engaging post and if you aren't paying attention to those factors then you'll be loosing a whole deal of loyal readers. The problem might not necessarily be that you are not dishing out valuable content or information! The problem sometimes lie in between how you arrange your post and the kinds of illustrations and graphical backup included in it. Here are the key 6 elements of a great and engaging post or web-content. * Valuable content* * Scannable/Readable* * Less use of irrelevant grammar* * Straight to the point* * Better graphics & images* * Strategic post ending format {SPEF}* Valuable content: So this is often the most shouted aspect of web publishing, why? Because it is of great importance because if your content isn't solving a problem then it's not worth reading, problems can present itself in any form and if the prospect isn't getting the solution then he/she would probably look for another means to get the value. {for example if what a prospect needs is to read poetry because he/she is bored and your content is just all crap and copied without the touch of originality to it, what do you think the prospect would do?} Scannable/Readable:- So the next thing we want to look out for is, your content being scannable and readable! What this means is that, you need to format your post well for readers to have space for digesting what they are reading as they scan through. And this includes leaving {white spacing} while you type. White spacing is very important for anyone who's aiming to engage readers because it leaves room for the eye to follow step by step and for chance of digesting the contents, pause while reading amongst other things. If you are thinking of taking up writing as a profession in the future these thing are very essential and the earlier you start practicing it the better for you. Less use of irrelevant grammar:- Some writers just tend to please themselves without looking at the implications of what they are doing and how this might affect their readership, Some writers usually think by using big vocabularies and researching words from Oxford dictionary and using them in their write-ups would impress their readers, but that's 85% not always the case, you don't expect your readers to source for a dictionary just because they want to read your contents. Keep it simple and make your points clear. Straight to the point:- What is the point really? If you start blabbing and just going round in circles just to waste time and to keep your readers around for too long just to figure out what you have to say, most people even think this is a method to keep their readers on their page and keep them engaged; but it's the opposite, it pisses them off. When writing, whether it is a "How To" tutorial or simply a story, learn to quickly highlight the point beforehand and try as well to go straight to the point. This is very important if you want your readers to keep coming back for more contents. Better graphics & images:- A lot of the times we use clichéd photos and graphics in between our post, most readers aren't moved by such things anymore. In fact, it might quickly turn them off because they might just assume they already know what you want to say in your post, one of the greatest part of an engaging content or blog post is using pictures that would catch the attention of the reader instantly. When I said clichéd earlier on here's what I mean! {you could be writing on the topic "How to become a creative writer"} and the first thing that might come to mind is a pen and paper or someone typing on a computer keyboard. Those are the kind of pictures I categorize as clichéd because they have been over-used. Don't get me wrong though! They still work for some people but if you really want to break out of the norm then you need to do better than that. *lastly, I call this {Spef} don't worry you'll know what it means... Just read on. Strategic post ending format {SPEF}:- Finally! the method or strategy you implement when ending your post is also as vital as any other tip I have shared earlier on, most writers have good starting but their finishing is the problem, I use any of the following to keep my readers engaged and feel a sense of human behind the content they are consuming. One of the ways I do this is by throwing out a question{?} at the end of the post, the question could simply be based on asking their opinions on what they just read, or what contributions they may have in addition or if they'll need extra help. Another way I end a post is by giving out a free guide either in form of an eBook, video tutorial or audio podcast, depending on the kind of topic I'm writing on, most cases it's effective when you write about contents on "How to" health and gaming. Etc....... Your ending paragraph should also have a "Thank You" message to it! e.g. {Thank you for reading through my post, I hope it was helping and inspiring. If so, kindly drop your sincere comments as to how this article has helped you. This way it can also help me to create more articles like this to solve issues like this in the future , once again thank you for reading} this is a killer way to communicate with your readers. Also, remember to always ask them to share your post if they find it interesting and know anyone who might equally benefit from the content, this way you are indirectly getting more leads from the free share your readers are offering you. |
charix:Yea, so true, & most of them just use 'Click-bait' headlines to catch your attention.... Very disheartening, they are really spoiling the good ones.. |
Northmall:The guy really fall my hands |
leahcimzil:Damn, that 'OP' really messed up big time |
twosquare:Yea, seriously he needs to format the post! It looks too clumsy, even on his site... |
uchebest2006:No, I think he started blogging since 2001, not particularly this blog.... (hopefully I'm correct) |
easyblazeblog:Nice post u got, I have also written on this topic some months back, or precisely last year... But try to bold those your points and leave white space that would ease reading.... |
Yieldings:Thanks for the heads up, I seriously salute your level of understanding despite being the first time we're crossing parts online.... Keep it real! |
Before anyone actually misunderstands what I mean by this post, try to at least get knowledge, it's not everything that you have to display your ignorance & illiteracy in any given topic. Better still try to Google things up - meanwhile the article was even simply meant for public learning where everyone can come & contribute their real thoughts on what they feel not lashing the poster, I'm a self development coach & writer so I actually know words I used here properly before hitting the publish button... God bless Nigerians |
So this is a question I'm asking, at what point in life when things doesn't seem to be the way we planned should we hit the reset button on life and take a turn or start all over again with life? |
So you've got nice & awesome ideas, you constantly get inspired but you just can't get your head around why you haven't been able to start any one yet. If it's not tied to any of these things listed below, then I don't know (I guess) Something seriously needs to change about you. TECHNICAL RELATED: If your idea is actually tied down by things that can be explained described as 'technical' issues, that's very much explainable. This could be, you, having problems running or getting something to just work properly in order for your idea or business to kick off. Maybe you can't launch an app, software, or install a key hardware that needs to propel every other thing, one can relate with such problems easily, and it's totally understandable. SOMEONE YOU HIRED ISN'T KEEPING THEIR END: This can be related to the first one. If you hired someone to help you carry out a task in order for you to successfully launch your dream or business, s/he took the money and ain't showing much of work-in progress, then it's totally explainable & it is not your fault at all. As long as you are working to sort things with whomever the freelancer is. MONEY/FINANCE IS LIMITING OR TOTALLY INCAPACITATING YOU: Sure, we can absolutely relate with that - finance is very much needed to propel & pay for so many things, it enhances many things & acts as the fuel that starts almost every other process. So if there is shortage of finance or no money at all to help you kick off your idea, then it is totally understandable if you tell someone why you haven't started yet. other than these things, if there's any other thing I missed, please add them in the comments section But please, I don't want to agree that time is your problem, you'll always find time no matter how little it is, to do the things that matters most in your life. So why is starting something even more profitable not forthcoming? What Is Stopping You? Most people have problem with Decision-making & Action than they really have with finance/money. It's like gambling problem, you are so addicted that you're not even conscious it's a problem anymore.. Unlike procrastination, most people just don't realize why they abandon a project. You'd likely, easily shower the whole blame on procrastination, 'but don't' Procrastination is not your problem, you're your own problem. & you're the solution too. Procrastination has always taken the blame in many people's failure, we fail to admit, I mean, to truly admit that we are our own problem sometimes. Procrastination doesn't have legs & hands, it doesn't walk into our lives itself, 'we invite it' we create it. You either get rid of that mindset or you roll along & waste your entire life. No one would ever help you wear your skin, switch lives with you, just to help you solve your problem, they can only give support to an extent - the rest lies with you. So what exactly is stopping you? Do you have decision problem? which is quite different from procrastination, really, but you might mistake them for each other. The problem most times with not being able to make decisions & taking action is that you never even got close to attempting an idea, you only thought of it & probably tell a few friends about it, but the drive isn't just there to even implement a first stage. Different from procrastination you most of the time create the framework, you sketch, you sometimes hit the road, but you stop & turn back, telling yourself you'll continue later - especially when you hit a roadblock, a big mighty obstacle. Procrastination always looks for the easiest, 'no need to do the hard work' kinda way out. So when you see the work in it, you simply tell yourself "I'll do this later" So what's really stopping you at this point? You can't explain it either, can you? No, I guess, you can't truly give a clear explanation to it, so when someone asks you 'oh Bob! how about that idea you shared with me the last time, have you done the mapping out?' you say......... nah! And the person goes again to ask you 'but Bob why, what is the problem you're encountering?' errr..... You won't really understand pal, it's quite complicated. END OF CHAPTER. crazy end isn't it? If you can't simply identify or explain what the problem is, then 90 percent chances are, you are your own problem. You just need to rethink your whole life from scratch... Forget procrastination bullshit, forget playing blame game. Most people are so used to blaming the government for just about anything & everything, they blame the government for not implementing policies that are friendly. etc, etc...., but if you really want to do something, you'll always find a way. So can you explain? What exactly is stopping you from starting?
