When I clicked on the five-year memorial documentary of Majek Fashek, I thought it would be a simple remembrance. But what I found was far more, part celebration of the Rainmaker’s music, part mystery that hinted at chapters of his life still left untold. The documentary radiates love and respect, featuring heartfelt voices that remember his genius, rare glimpses of his performances, and a storytelling flow that feels almost spiritual. Yet within that beauty are small moments that make you pause—a sudden silence in an interview, a mention of a “private recording,” or a look in Majek’s eyes that seems to carry a secret. This kind of balance, honoring a legend while leaving us curious, takes real care. And that care is clear in the way Imelda Nweke, CEO of Meldamed Events, guided the story. Without making it about herself, she created a documentary that keeps Majek’s legacy alive with dignity while giving us something to reflect on long after watching. This isn’t just a memorial. It’s a documentary that invites you to celebrate, reflect, and wonder what lies behind the Rainmaker’s legend. Watch the full documentary here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnmCOq-ga2k
