TravelRe: U.S. Student Visa (F1, M1, & J1) Forum - We're Listening by RexNdubest(m): 4:20am On Oct 28, 2017
Hello VO,

My wife is filling her DS-160 form. She plans to join me on F-2 dependent visa. We are confused on who the principal applicant is? Is she the principal applicant, since she will be the one going for the interview or me, the F-1 student?

Thanks.

Good morning AbujaNIV.

I want to renew my visa and they are giving me the option for Dropbox renewal. I've heard people say there isn't any more Dropbox visa renewal for Nigerians. Now, I'm confused. Would you advise me to do the Dropbox or just apply to visit the embassy? Thanks

Sure, the bank is cool. I've used it for 12 months now without any issue. In fact, it has the highest no of branches and ATM in Pennsylvania. You will enjoy it most if your school is in PA, NJ or DE.

Hahahaha... Oga Slimmy05, it's not easy o. I remember taking Greyhound from Philly to Madison, WI. The whole journey was approximately 30 hours. We changed bus like 4 times. At some of their terminal, we waited for up to 2 hours. As per se the guy just dey enter states, e no go too make sense to embark on that journey by road.

One course unit in my school costs $5816. I don't think there is a school with such a low tuition fee for a session! Cheapest will be about $15k

excatho:
I am not a doctor but my friend who is a doctor asked me the possible cheapest tuition fee for mph per year, Lille he asked if he can get like 5-7k tuition per year
TravelRe: Illegal Immigrant: My Near Death And Terrible Experience In Malaysia by RexNdubest(m): 10:15pm On Jun 20, 2015
Hmmm carrying passport everywhere you go. That's terrible. One can travel from East coast to West coast which is bigger than all those South East Asia without passport!
00francis:
OP make Malaysia no sue you oh...would have been nice for you to indemnify your self by saying some details are fictional.

Malaysia is like my second home after spend 5+ years there. And I believe I have seen it all.

Only issue I had with police was on a faithful morning when I drove out to an ATM near my condo in cheras without my passport, drivers license and the car I used had an expired road tax. I was pulled over close to my condo...the police about 7 searched my car and told me I was in trouble. I told them I had my passport at home and pointed to my condo and offered to call a friend to bring it for me and clear that I am legit. The officers declined and insisted I was going to be arrested. They finally asked me to bribe my way out which I obliged and I lived happily ever after.

I had all sorts of friends, locals, internationals, legal and illegal immigrants.

I have even reunited with some of my illegal friends that were deported...and your portrayed experience is a far cry from what is obtainable.

In summary if you have your money, you won't have problems there...maybe a few unorthodox measures here and there like carrying your passport around all the time, but quite frankly our brothers cast the place, too many niggas like OP trynna hustle caused that.

If you go for hustling, there is a 1% chance you'll make it in a legit way with no money...I had Nigerian classmates that are lecturers there now. The rest are keyboardists( if you know what I mean).

BusinessRe: Naira Gains As CBN Clearing Rate Weakens Against Dollar by RexNdubest(m): 4:39pm On Jun 17, 2015
There is nothing like improvement yet. I helped a friend pay his acceptance fee yesterday. The cost is $300. GTB debited #63,599.16 from my account approximately equivalent of $1.00 to #112.00. It's not just GTB cos I have a First Bank Visa card and the story is the same. It's really killing those of us studying abroad. Forget these story!!!

FYI. Just got this email from my school's international office

Dear Students and Scholars,

Over the weekend of June 26 – 28, 2015, the Student Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) will be applying updates to its SEVIS database. These updates will interrupt certain government services such as US visa applications; I-901 SEVIS fee payments; driver's license applications; and for those entering the US, expect delays at the port of entry.

It's very possible if you continuously monitor the application portal. Once you see an earlier date, reschedule ASAP. It worked for me. My appointment was earlier schedule for the 5th of August but I rescheduled it for July 22nd.
